    I know this is 4 years (or whenever ur reading this) old, but this is one of the most “simple” clean Corolla builds I’ve seen.

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that was my plan all along. I much prefer the final phase it went as it got most of the attention from the half cut bumper.

    I has a 2001 corolla and it was a great car. Its still one of my favorite body styles for the corolla. I hated the Gen that came right after is just didn’t look as slick as this open did. With the right body kits this corolla looked munch nicer than even the Honda civics of its time.

      No problem man, loved the way the car turned out but I owned that car for over 7 years and had to move on to a manual one.

    Hey i was wondering where you got the front and rear bumpers on the car towards the start of the vid the ones at 1:10. You really put in work for this car and it shows

    • @2zzlow

      ebay bomber body kit. bomex replica

    never have seen a 9th gen front bumper on an 8th gen. very unique.

  • @VeryStrongBoy
    @VeryStrongBoy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So just for clarification, when you custom fabricated the front bumper, you cut the lower portion of the 8th gen bumper off and then replaced it with the lower bumper of a 9th gen corolla and then plastic welded it correct? You didn't just buy the two valence pieces on either side? I'm planning on doing this soon to my own corolla.

    • @2zzlow

    Gran trabajo 👌🏻👏 yo tengo mi proyecto de mi Corolla 2000 estoy viendo muchos videos para poder hacer desde la pintura hasta los estribos pero... Solo se que me costará, si llegas a leer mi comentario me ayudaría a decirme cómo se desmontan las puertas y el baul ya que no se cómo quitarle los cables.

    I know these corollas burn a lot of oil, considering they have the notorious 1zz. How was your experience with these cars? I heard they were easy fixes, and I was hoping to buy one of these bad boys soon after letting go of a Celica GT (pre-facelift).

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It wasn’t as bad on the oil burning until it hit 200k. Between 200k and 300k I had to put a quart of oil at every gas station fill up. You get used to it tho as I managed to get my Corolla to 300k miles. Finally started to lightly knock so I retired It to the state and got $1500 for it.

      I had 2001 Corolla LE. Bought in 2011 used. Had to let it go after in 2015 as it couldn't pass emissions test. Mine burned a lot of oil. Started getting very rusty too. But it was a great car. During the time 2011 - 2015 the car didn't let me down once. I had to put a lot of oil because of oil burning but the car still kept on running and running. it was running even though it didn't pass emissions test but that meant I couldn't cross the boarder so I had no choice to send it to a junkyard. After that I had bought a 2007 Toyota Camry LE with a 2AZ-FE engine. That engine also considered to be easy to work on. It also burns oil but only a little bit even though its at 325,000 KM. Really love these cars.

    So u got a 9th gen front and rear corolla bumper add ons....was it a direct fit? What did u had to do exactly to get it to fit?? Also what did u lower it on and how was the ride?? Very nice btw

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a direct fit. A lot of cutting and plastic welding had to take place. The fronts I cut material off of them and the rears I had to add material to them. They do keep the original curved to them. My car was lowered on TRD springs by eibach with tokico blue shocks. Very nice handling...
