I have some tomatoes coming in. I lost half of mine from blight but had some that survived. The plants look terrible but they are still producing. And I'm definitely trying Hossinators and Red Snappers next year. Yours look amazing.
This is our first year we didn't have blight problems and splitting tomato problems I have switched to these two varieties and will continue to grow these for their ease and disease resistance , some say the flavor isn't there but I think they make great tomato sandwiches and we pressure can them for salsa and pasta sauce where we add spices for flavor 👍
Beautiful. Ed cut another one off today but it was black like the last one. He knows he didn't do what you suggested early enough. Next year will be better.
Beautiful tomatoes, I might have to grow them next year. I am only growing cherry tomatoes this year. I have about 10 different cherry tomatoes I’m going to grow this year, trying to find one I really like.
We grew an Amish cherry tomato plant last year and it was the sweetest cherry tomato we've ever had , gonna try it this year too , thanks for watching 👍
Nice harvest! You grew two I'm looking to grow. Can you tell me which one you prefer out of Hossinator and Red Snapper? How was production, taste, and plant health for each?
To be honest they both were very identical in taste and plant vigor but the Hossinator does have larger tomatoes more of an heirloom look the Red Snapper has more round globe shape both grew extremely well and are very productive , if I could only grow one it would be the Hossinator but I will continue to grow both lol , give them both a try I'm sure you will be pleased thanks for watching 👍
I know you had lost many plants in June to hail damage but I had no idea you so many more plants in a different area that survived hail damage. How was that possible? I mean, that's wonderful news but just curious. Those toms look amazing but most important tp me is flavor.
I sell tomato plants in the spring i start them from seed inside under grow lights and sell them to our neighbors and our community , after the storm destroyed the one's in our planter boxes I replanted with the one's I had inside under lights fortunately we were able to replace the ones we lost with new seedlings and those were the one's we got a harvest from this year . The flavor is great to us we use them for sandwiches and for pressure canning pasta sauce and salsa thanks for watching friend 👍
Did you order your big stones that you have enclosed an area with or..❤?
