Yeah that traditional 3 phase approach is wack. I originally was going to take my test in January, but I quickly realized that the way I was studying was not working. I dreaded reading the content review books and it literally felt I was wasting time. In the mist of life craziness, I wasn’t making as much progress as I needed to and I certainly was not understanding the material at all. Now my test is in March and I am using UW as my content review by isolating my questions set by topic(approximately 10 questions with only one box checked) and using khan academy videos to fill contact gaps
Great video! One suggestion that could enhance your flashcard-making process is to leverage AI. By pasting your notes or lecture transcriptions into an AI tool like ChatGPT, you can quickly generate high-quality flashcards with minimal effort :) Love your videos Dr. J
Can you give me a little advice, I am planning on studying medicine but I want to support my family with good amount of money as soon as I can, but bevoming a foctor takes too much time and too much money, so should I still choose medicine?
Currently having this same mental dilemma and what I can say is I have decided to become a doctor. I feel that I have always been looking for instant gratification but that's not what I truly want. Yes it will take longer but My future will be amazing and when I have a family and they are older I will be able to give them what they need and even things they want. Besides that I think it depends where your heart lies. Are you wanting to go into medicine for the money? If so I don't think its the right path. There are plenty of careers that you can make bank and not the stress and investment you put into going into medicine. Anyways I know I'm not MSI lol but I hope that could help you even a lil. 🫶🏾
@@kkreynolds4569 there's no high paying that doesn't have a ton of stress or long hours. Investment bankers have to do multi million dollar transactions that could cost a lot of their job if they screw up and they work 80-100 hours a week just like residents. Lawyers have to deal with people's lives and also work resident hours. The difference is that in medicine you have to wait a lot longer and take on more debt before you make big money
Dentists don't have to do residency and generally work better hours than doctors. On average doctors make more money but if a dentist can own multiple practices they can millions, however most dentists will never achieve this. But you should only become a dentist if you like doing dental procedures. If surgery seems interesting to you, but you don't want to work long hours then you should look into dentistry. If you want to treat the entire human body or you don't want to just treat the mouth then do dentistry
i would like more mcat videos to be honest
