I was tempted by this due to the rave reviews of the formula but thank you for reminding me it is truly a warm palette. I can do warm but do not like them as much.

This palette is so pretty to look at it and I have no doubt that I would really enjoy it. But I definitely think I can dupe it using the silver from the Pat McGrath holiday five pan along with my Charlotte Tilbury rosy tones. I’m more of a quad user and just get overwhelmed with these big palettes ❤
Very good review thank you. I also wish there were some more cooler shades. For me it is also a face palette. The pans are big enough for a small blush brush. I have combined the shades or used them alone to make beautiful blushes. The packaging is not good but the price per shade is absolutely outstanding. The longevity too is equally outstanding on both eyes and cheeks. I would not want to pay more to get better packaging to be honest. Just 4 of these shades together would be a beautiful not even 25.00 palette!
Very nice review! I do agree about the package, it isn’t attractive at all. Bought this palette a week ago and used it every day. Very flattering on my eyes. I wasn’t sure about the colourstory (rosy and warm) first but it was the soft formule for more textured eyelids that convinced me to buy it. I don’t have Tom Ford, Mario palette etc, just the Pillow Talk quad which isn’t a favorite of mine. I do have the Viseart warm neutrals (excellent workhorse palette), Glam (cool), Retro Glam (midi and mini), Zendo (midi and mini) and the My dream (bit too warm and dark for me) from Natascha Denona. This seemed like a nice additional palette and it is! It is lightweight, soft and elegant and blends like a dream. Compared to Natasha Denona I do prefer the formula of Byredo because it works even more easy. Hopefully they will come with a more neutral cool toned palette but it is not as warm on my eyes as I thought. Just very happy with this purchase.
Great review! I do see a tie to memories in that the front design has a photographic film negative treatment if you remember those from the analog days. Likewise the colors relate to the sepia color from old photographs perhaps, plus the hazy etherealness you mentioned. But, I'm probably reading much into it as i'm waiting for it to be delivered!

I’m so glad you reviewed this palette- I think your thoughts are spot on! I agree with the price/value comparison with TF palettes. Since the Byredo formula can be used wet as well, it’s a good TF match up for wet/dry pigment intensity options! Great review!
My palette came yesterday so this is perfect timing! It’s just beautiful! Im a cool tone lover, but I was looking for a great warm palette for this summer. Can I create similar looks with other palettes I have…sure. BUT the FORMULA 😍 It is kind of like the TF Creme formula now that you say it. Look 1… breathtaking! I’m doing that next! Look 2… so, so pretty! That says summer to me! Look 3… I love it so much. I love gold with silver, warm and cool together. All 3 looks are so different. Which is my favorite? All 3! I’m going to be wearing all 3. A lot. I totally agree with you about the packaging, especially because we know they absolutely know how to do gorgeous packaging. The clam shell of the small mediocre formula palettes is stunning! This formula deserves better packaging!!

this is the best and most balanced review of this palette i have seen yet (and probably will see lol.) tysm for taking the time to share your thoughts with us 🥹 i haven’t picked up it yet for many of the reasons you stated but the formula would also be my main motive if i do. laughing that i totally agree about the cover art choice and i love your concept around what could have been included. the cover art is also what’s been holding me back from getting it right away bc it doesn’t spark any joy for me 🤣. my interpretation of memories is associated with the nuances of the shades but i agree some cooler options would have been ideal and a little more depth, personally. and i love some pops of colors for fun which is why i adore Kalahari. this is definitely more of a companion palette for me. for anyone who didn’t already have Kalahari or loves these colors, i hope they really enjoy this palette bc the formulas are very refined imo and many shades can be beautiful on the face too. biggest caveat is that this is a stay at home palette, and not to be stored vertically. for travel and durability i would absolutely recommend a TF quad over this, or as its traveling counterpart. 🤪
Thank you for sharing! Yes lots of good points. I am scared to travel with this since when I got Kalahari one of the shades were broken. The shadows are very soft (like the Tom Ford creme ones which also broke on me lol)
I prefer Tom Ford quotes×2 to the pallet, but I love to see your reviews!! If they sell as a single eyeshadow I will go for it!! There isn't a way to create Golden Hour since there aren't really any soft oranges in this palette. But Hazy Sensuality totally! I think it depends on what you reach for most: small quads or larger palettes.
Hi! Pretty kitty. I see you 😻. This palette is beautiful, and unique. I love the looks you did with it. There is no darker shade to darken out the outer corner? This palette seems to run on the light side with the mattes?
Yes good point Janice. The cocoa shade works well for that as does the deep reddish brown but they could have swapped out the pink shades for a dark shade
Generally I don't lean towards warm colors, but I loved the second warm toned look you created. I agree this palette would have been better at 9 (or even 12 shades). And I super love your idea of naming the colors after the Muses!! Wondering if I can recreate something similar to your second demo look with some of the Viseart palettes I have...
I forgot to mention this in the video, but my custom Viseart palette that I made for a video a few months ago is VERY similar to this ;) minus the silver shades

Pretty! I like the middle warm look best😅surprise surprise! The first look was also super pretty❤ I’d love to find this on sale- (wouldn’t we all) anyway, I could see this being a daily staple in my eyeshadow looks. I look at the palette in terms of quads- so I group four shades together and see a lot of interesting looks❤it’s beautiful-

Great review! Thanks! I think that looking at this palette, the word nostalgia comes to mind, which very often accompanies memories. I think that goes a long way with Luca Pica's work. In addition, monochromatic, interpenetrating and complementary colors are her signature work, which I personally appreciate very much. I don't like contrasts in palettes, only very subtle color games, almost like an obsession with one, particular color.

It's not the most optimistic image on the palette, i agree dear Sophia, but how you did this, wow, you organised the swatches in colour groups which makes it so much easier and loved the looks you created!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Of course it's in The Netherlands for purchase, this palette, which makes it even more difficult, as i only love this formula from Byredo, the quints, what a mistake, the formjula! But the Kalahari palette i really love!!! I could see it as my new Mothership, o wow that is maybe not nice for Pat, or nice! Since my more sensitive eyes can't handle the PMG formula mostly. Everytime i see this, i make an excuse not to purchase it, and i know the formula is so good! Packaging i would love to see it in the colour groups you showed, so much easier, but that is not special enough for them to present, maybe? Gorgeous, and also, i don't know yet, as i use more and more quads and other little palettes. Without you, making groups of the colours is much more a mess than the Kalahari for an, i do not know reason. But beautiful!!! I love your thoroughness. If anyone could have turned me around on this palette it would have been you. But there are only 2 or 3 special colors in this palette. The layout isn't intuitive. And frankly, I have all the colors from this that I need from other brands. And I'm sick of Lucia Pica. I hate her aesthetic. You look beautiful. I was eagerly waiting for your review and as usual, it was super helpful!! To be honest, at first, I was dying to get this because I'm someone who loves pink tones (I actually used only blushes as shadows for years) and those silvers also look amazing but precisely because I love pinks I have similar shades, I'm also definitely not into big palettes at all and I don't love those more warm coppery brown shades so hearing you confirm that it's mostly warm toned confirms my decision to pass on this. Hopefully, I'll find a really good silver shade to kind of recreate the vibe I dreamed of doing with this palette, which is more similar to your first look which is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing, your reviews are truly the best! Oh, and that Neverending Story reference cracked me up, the eyes do give a bit of a creepy vibe 😂, and I also loved seeing your adorable kitty!😍

I’m obviously in the minority here BUT I love the packaging 😅😩😍 I think it’s minimal, pretty & sophisticated ! 😊 I’m def a neutrals and warm shades lover and also love the delicious liquid metal shades ,,, but Sofia I really felt you bashed this palette a little too harshly 😭😢 although yes it can be duped but across how many palettes did you mention ? At least three or more ? So h biggest appeal of this palette (& I think Alicia from Kinky Sweat also said the same) how lovely is it to have these shades all in one palette & with all the beautiful textures and stellar formulas ? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😁 it was a no brainer for me & I ordered immediately 🙌 I also think the concept of memories is hard to capture & can also be very subjective but I don’t think it was by any means “fabricated” for this palette 🤷🏻♀️ anyway these are my thoughts 😊 & I love you & your content & thoughts nonetheless ❤️ your looks were beautiful & I def want to recreate them ! For those that said they’d wait for a sale ,,, the palette will surely sell out before then so I don’t think we will see this palette “on sale” ,,, lastly what I also appreciate about these Byredo palettes is the exclusivity of them; as they are only released once a year; it’s not like say ColourPop where they release five pallets per month and I think Alicia also made this point on her video; again I love this palette and for those on the fence I say go for it because once it sells out it’s gone (sorry for the FOMO 😭) xoxo
I have the other 2 big Byredo palettes and I wanted to get this one too but I’m with you on the packaging. The design of the compact is important to me when it’s so expensive and I wish it looked different too. I wonder if you could use the pink tones as blush? There is a lot of pinks and warmer tones and it would be great if they were multi purpose!

Tempted by this palette tbh…I’m a warm girl on the eyes ( usually go for more neutral cool on the lips, go figure!) as cool shades just look odd on my eyes. I also much prefer larger palettes with more choice (motherships) to quads or quints (find those uneconomical really, apart from PMG ones). But…and it’s a big but…I haven’t used powder eyeshadows in a while, as I was in hospital with guillain barre syndrome before Xmas and still struggle with a lot of numbness in my hands and legs, so eye brushes are a bit fiddly and I’m just as likely to poke myself in the eye than to get a cohesive look! Hopefully, things are slowly improving though, so I’ll get back to it soon!
I was totally gonna say it’s the extra bougie makeup by Mario!! But what I appreciate about it the most is know I can dip in & out of any & all shades & they will not turn to mud. The formula is so forgiving. It lives next to the burburry holiday palette, which was also overpriced & also dummy proof! This is Luca pica’s pillow talk. CT made so much money that every designer has since done their versions. My fave look on you was #3, like how is that so punchy but also so soft?! My face shade to use so far is that lavender taupe, on me it’s less lavender & more that specific 90’s “yogurt” (gross, but yes!!) shade and I LOVE it.

My palette is on its way to me ) I tried to dupe it with my Natasha Denona palettes (I have almost all Natasha palettes) and I'm not sure that I was successful. Due to what I saw in reviews of Remembrance palettes, it is natural but I can't dupe it with palettes, that I already have.
Absolutely, even the ones with satin finishes are flattering on more textured eyelids. The formula is very lightweight and soft. I do like it more than the Natasha Denona formula which I also like. You can create a more sheer look with this palette. A cool toned sister would be high on my wishlist.
An easy pass for me, i find the packaging so unattractive, a boring colour story with many redundant shades, and way too many. I have Kalahari, nice but not special in my mind. i use it sometimes for the pink shimmers but that’s about it.
I was going to ask how this palette compares to Makeup by Mario Ethereal, and you mentioned it in the video. I haven't been able to get the Ethereal palette because it is constantly out of stock on the US site and never came to the UK. Should I therefore get this one instead?
So there are 2 big differences to call out: The Mario palette is more neutral/cool browns and this one has quite a bit of pinks and warm browns. Also the mario palette is more glittery and this one instead has those high shine metallics. I personally like the formula and the lack of fallout and irritation that I get from this one :) the colors stories aren't exact but I think the vibe that the artists were going for is the same
I love all three looks especially the first two. I agree the design on the packaging is out and out ugly and remembrance makes no sense. The formula of these shades is the winner and I do like all the shades, yet I think there could have been more of a variety of shades even though they are all different there are too many similar shades.
Ok. I have to skip this. I’m one who has to shop smart. And well, there are some really glass like colors I do love. The look one, that glass pop. Ummmm yes. But the other shades. Browns and pinks. Not worth my money. It wouldn’t be smart. Sadly, my wallet just can’t open 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. You have a lot of real estate on eye. I don’t, so yeah. They would muddle together

It's not the most optimistic image on the palette, i agree dear Sophia, but how you did this, wow, you organised the swatches in colour groups which makes it so much easier and loved the looks you created!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩Of course it's in The Netherlands for purchase, this palette, which makes it even more difficult, as i only love this formula from Byredo, the quints, what a mistake, the formjula! But the Kalahari palette i really love!!! I could see it as my new Mothership, o wow that is maybe not nice for Pat, or nice! Since my more sensitive eyes can't handle the PMG formula mostly. Everytime i see this, i make an excuse not to purchase it, and i know the formula is so good! Packaging i would love to see it in the colour groups you showed, so much easier, but that is not special enough for them to present, maybe? Gorgeous, and also, i don't know yet, as i use more and more quads and other little palettes. Without you, making groups of the colours is much more a mess than the Kalahari for an, i do not know reason. But beautiful!!! I love your thoroughness. If anyone could have turned me around on this palette it would have been you. But there are only 2 or 3 special colors in this palette. The layout isn't intuitive. And frankly, I have all the colors from this that I need from other brands. And I'm sick of Lucia Pica. I hate her aesthetic. You look beautiful. But I think I can get those greens from last year's ND Retro Glam palette. Thanks for the review!💚

I was eagerly waiting for your review and as usual, it was super helpful!! To be honest, at first, I was dying to get this because I'm someone who loves pink tones (I actually used only blushes as shadows for years) and those silvers also look amazing but precisely because I love pinks I have similar shades, I'm also definitely not into big palettes at all and I don't love those more warm coppery brown shades so hearing you confirm that it's mostly warm toned confirms my decision to pass on this. Hopefully, I'll find a really good silver shade to kind of recreate the vibe I dreamed of doing with this palette, which is more similar to your first look which is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing, your reviews are truly the best! Oh, and that Neverending Story reference cracked me up, the eyes do give a bit of a creepy vibe 😂, and I also loved seeing your adorable kitty!😍

I’m obviously in the minority here BUT I love the packaging 😅😩😍 I think it’s minimal, pretty & sophisticated ! 😊 I’m def a neutrals and warm shades lover and also love the delicious liquid metal shades ,,, but Sofia I really felt you bashed this palette a little too harshly 😭😢 although yes it can be duped but across how many palettes did you mention ? At least three or more ? So h biggest appeal of this palette (& I think Alicia from Kinky Sweat also said the same) how lovely is it to have these shades all in one palette & with all the beautiful textures and stellar formulas ? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😁 it was a no brainer for me & I ordered immediately 🙌 I also think the concept of memories is hard to capture & can also be very subjective but I don’t think it was by any means “fabricated” for this palette 🤷🏻♀️ anyway these are my thoughts 😊 & I love you & your content & thoughts nonetheless ❤️ your looks were beautiful & I def want to recreate them ! For those that said they’d wait for a sale ,,, the palette will surely sell out before then so I don’t think we will see this palette “on sale” ,,, lastly what I also appreciate about these Byredo palettes is the exclusivity of them; as they are only released once a year; it’s not like say ColourPop where they release five pallets per month and I think Alicia also made this point on her video; again I love this palette and for those on the fence I say go for it because once it sells out it’s gone (sorry for the FOMO 😭) xoxo

I have the other 2 big Byredo palettes and I wanted to get this one too but I’m with you on the packaging. The design of the compact is important to me when it’s so expensive and I wish it looked different too. I wonder if you could use the pink tones as blush? There is a lot of pinks and warmer tones and it would be great if they were multi purpose!
Yes I definitely think you could use those as blushes but would need to be careful with having the right brush size :)

Tempted by this palette tbh…I’m a warm girl on the eyes ( usually go for more neutral cool on the lips, go figure!) as cool shades just look odd on my eyes. I also much prefer larger palettes with more choice (motherships) to quads or quints (find those uneconomical really, apart from PMG ones). But…and it’s a big but…I haven’t used powder eyeshadows in a while, as I was in hospital with guillain barre syndrome before Xmas and still struggle with a lot of numbness in my hands and legs, so eye brushes are a bit fiddly and I’m just as likely to poke myself in the eye than to get a cohesive look!
Hopefully, things are slowly improving though, so I’ll get back to it soon!

I was totally gonna say it’s the extra bougie makeup by Mario!! But what I appreciate about it the most is know I can dip in & out of any & all shades & they will not turn to mud. The formula is so forgiving. It lives next to the burburry holiday palette, which was also overpriced & also dummy proof!

My fave look on you was #3, like how is that so punchy but also so soft?! My face shade to use so far is that lavender taupe, on me it’s less lavender & more that specific 90’s “yogurt” (gross, but yes!!) shade and I LOVE it.

Hi Sofia, I just wanted to let you know that your videos kinda disappeared from the feed staring about a month ago. I love your channel and when I haven’t seen your videos for a week, I began looking into my subscription list, you were not there (now came back) and even now I had to search for your channel to see if there is anything new. I tried to dupe it with my Natasha Denona palettes (I have almost all Natasha palettes) and I'm not sure that I was successful. Due to what I saw in reviews of Remembrance palettes, it is natural but I can't dupe it with palettes, that I already have.

Absolutely, even the ones with satin finishes are flattering on more textured eyelids. The formula is very lightweight and soft. I do like it more than the Natasha Denona formula which I also like. You can create a more sheer look with this palette. A cool toned sister would be high on my wishlist.
An easy pass for me, i find the packaging so unattractive, a boring colour story with many redundant shades, and way too many. I have Kalahari, nice but not special in my mind. i use it sometimes for the pink shimmers but that’s about it.

I was going to ask how this palette compares to Makeup by Mario Ethereal, and you mentioned it in the video. I haven't been able to get the Ethereal palette because it is constantly out of stock on the US site and never came to the UK. Should I therefore get this one instead?
So there are 2 big differences to call out: The Mario palette is more neutral/cool browns and this one has quite a bit of pinks and warm browns. Also the mario palette is more glittery and this one instead has those high shine metallics. I personally like the formula and the lack of fallout and irritation that I get from this one :) the colors stories aren't exact but I think the vibe that the artists were going for is the same
I love all three looks especially the first two. I agree the design on the packaging is out and out ugly and remembrance makes no sense. The formula of these shades is the winner and I do like all the shades, yet I think there could have been more of a variety of shades even though they are all different there are too many similar shades.

Ok. I have to skip this. I’m one who has to shop smart. And well, there are some really glass like colors I do love. The look one, that glass pop. Ummmm yes. But the other shades. Browns and pinks. Not worth my money. It wouldn’t be smart. Sadly, my wallet just can’t open 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. You have a lot of real estate on eye. I don’t, so yeah. They would muddle together
