Looks great, I just bought this little kit for a starter and this has given me a lot of ideas for weathering it.
Small kit but as you say it has a lot of detail.
Did you use the supplied Acrylics or did you use others and then gloss coat before weathering?

Spearo thank for the feedback, always glad to receive it.
I didn't get the Revell Acrylics in the box, so I brought them as individual pots.
After painting each colour I put on a gloss coat of enamel clear, so if I made a mistake with the next layer I could role back. The final coat prior to washes was enamel again, and then the washes were added. Final clear coat again was enamel, I find it is harder wear that Acrylic Clear Gloss.

I'm having a very hard time using black wash, when it dries it only darkened my models they do not look like in your video. Do I need to add water to the paint? I'm using Vallejo Model Wash for dark vehicles.

Galleos, I will assume that you did put at least 2 to 3 coats of gloss clear over the model before you started using the washes. If you apply them over flat (matt) paint they will seep into the bits between the paint which allows flat paint to be flat and you will never get the wash out and this will leave your model darkened overall.
Here is my general technique and this works for what every Vallejo wash you apply, but I must admit you do need to clean down the black more than with lighter colours.
      1. Apply 2 to 3 coats of clear gloss over the entire model to be washed, (Don't use Future Klear as it is water soluble for about a week before it sets hard enough for Vallejo Washes.)
      2. Allow the clear gloss to dry for a couple of day to ensure that it hardens off properly.
      3. Apply washes, and allow to dry.
      4. Using water only and cotton buds or a stiff brush remove the wash where you don't want it.
      5. Once you have got the desired results seal the whole lot with another couple of coats of clear gloss.
      6. Once the gloss clear has dried then apply Matt or Satin Clear if desired.

Thank you for replying to my question, I've been busy to respond back. The reason why I didn't use gloss and used matt is because the items I am painting are war related, cannons, trenches, sandbags, etc. I don't want a glossy look on war-related items. Is there any other way to apply shadow before I paint my items with a final coat of varnish? Thank you.

If you seal the weathering with clear gloss and then apply a clear matt finish you will achieve the desired result of a matt finished military model, hope this helps

So I left my washes to dry overnight and the next morning I rubbed off the excess. I then sprayed a flat coat over my model but the wash is rubbing off. Do you know why?

Bagel Bro, I used to have this problem myself, this is because flat clear coat doesn't form a continuous coat across the model, it is more like a very fine speckling. My technique to seal in the weathering is to use an enamel clear gloss (at least 2 coats) and then apply the flat clear coat. Enamel flat clear I have found to be better than acrylics as they bond better to the lower layers of paint.

Matt's Car Models I finally got around to applying the wash and spraying it and I gave it 2 coats. After letting the coats dry I could still rub it off with my fingers and a bit of force. Does it need more than two coats before it rubs off or am I just being to rough with the model. I am using testors gloss lacquer. Does it have to do with the brand or the fact that the paint is a lacquer?
