@@MistyKathrine I think there’s enough people playing alts you could play. And there are leveling guilds you can join

@@MistyKathrine Very very few people are even max level yet, eq origins takes a long time to lvl ;p, the low lvl zones are very populated you will have no issue finding groups past lvl 10

See what I wanted was the EQ2 experience when we started as Fighter, Scout, ect... And had to do citizenship quests... I really want that experience again :(

when eq2 came out it was the best of the best. WoW was so awful back then. Probably still is but I'm not sure. I remember trying to switch from EQ2 to WoW in like 2008 or 2009 and Wow was so awful...the class choices and graphics, everything was like worst than eq2 or even eq1. I just couldn't get into that game after years of EQ2 and it's amazing (at the time) graphics, insanely massive quests and those avatar things that were basically gods that dropped insane unique loot...man that game was so good back then. Even today I have yet to see anything quite like it and been playing league of legends for years which is depressing af. Also tried fortnite but just getting too old for FPS games
Does the origin server remain vanilla forever? I heard a rumor that it wouldn't receive any expansion updates.
They said it will but I’m certain it will receive updates or get shut down eventually. Gotta be one or the other.
I’d just like them to make a 2004 server and update it independently to not be terrible like the live game.
@@WasabiCracker I guess it will receive it's own updates and is completely separate from the LIVE server updates. So maybe we'll see 2 separate games develop over time.
@@VoiceULove I doubt they will dev it at all. just launch the old expansions over time.
I would love if they deved it. brought back all the halmark quests, class progression, weight, citizenship, etc. but I doubt.

2006 was specifically when they made the game about as solo friendly as wow outside of the dungeons.

I have such fond memories of struggling to get a few kills in a forest in antonica as a solo crusader. I would get 1-3 kills and go and rest in the inn nearby before I went back out.
part of it was probably again kuz I was a middle schooler, but regardless every small gear upgrade felt amazing (like wiping with a group of six twice spending a whole saturday just completing one quest to get a jewelry upgrade) , every kill felt like I earned it, if you get people to invest that much it doesn't matter if it is easy or hard, it is going to be something people come back to.
No, that was the end of 2007 with Rise of Kunark. Origins is solo only in the fashion that you can find something to kill for .01%. Quest xp is a joke, no disco xp either. You can make it work for a while, buying collections as you go, but the steam runs out in early 30's, and that is pushing it to an extreme that 99% of the players would not bother with. Most are done trying to be purely solo after 10-15.
@@WesleyWyndam-Pryce Yeah, after playing origins now for a while, it's not as solo friendly as I thought, but I guess you could say it's at least possible to solo. It was all so long ago hard to remember what happened when.
