Photo editing, retouching and restoration, as well as digitization of negatives could also be section that someone could get into. There are lots of people out there with collections of negatives from parents who imaged using film that need a way to preserve their past.

    I love your channel!
I have been studying youtube quite intently - and this is an awesome video idea, and very well done
the only note I would add, in the chapters, it can help to put "Career 1", "Career 2", "Career 3", "Career 4", rather than give it away. But.... it's also very nice and convenient. So.... I just want to leave a comment as a thank you - awesome stuff ! :))

    Artistic photography or for decoration?
I think there might be a subtle difference. When we approach a photo as a work of art, in many cases, it might be challenging to sell or be accepted. When we aim to create a photo for wall decoration, we probably have to follow the current trends and fashions.
Just an opinion from an amateur photographer who has never studied art, photography, or design. 🙃

I think you make a good point.
I would argue you need to make what moves you and what your artistic desire is and when creating not think of the commercial aspect.
But once you have created it, and you want to live from your art photography, you need to think about how to reach a potential audience for your art.
One way is by climbing the art world ladder and getting approval through prizes and contest and grants. Then collectors might become interested and buy even non decorative works because there is a name attached: Alec Soth, Martin Parr, Cindy Sherman etc.
The other way, which I tried to touch on in the video is to think of which parts of your artistic work might be suitable for a wider audience who would buy them. It’s harder to sell a picture of a crying person than a landscape I think. Oversimplification of course :)

Maybe I'm the idiots one in the world fail after fail after fail 😂. Since 2017 I've never opened my camera bag . The camera equipment I bought o=at time it was dream for every photographer. One of my lens still the Nikon top lenses $5000 . As you imagine when I left from Greece to Iceland it was the worst part of my life . No time for photography even keep rain keep cloudy windy. Going working come back home . No time for learning or taking photo

Hi Katja, just found your channel and subscribed. Your take is very useful to me, so I’ll be watching everything to finally get my photography off the ground. As for side hustle, mine ended up as making acrylic ice cubes and pieces, which came about having stalled at the cost of buying and getting delivered one of these pieces from the US. I don’t want to advertise my business name on here as that would be cheeky. Followed you on Instagram too 👍🏻
