I always sang this traditional folk song at the beginning of the school year, as we prepared for our Harvest Festival, which we celebrated around the time of the Fall Equinox.
You can sing it with full-body movements or standing. It's fun to come in and out, close together, and farther apart, especially if you're doing it with a small number of children (or 1 child).

    Here are the words:
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Do you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans, and barley grow?
First, the farmer plants the seeds,
Then he rests and takes his ease,
Stamps his feet and claps his hands
And turns around to view the land.
Have fun! And please leave any questions or comments below
