Lovely caravan. One thing you need to be aware of (albeit minor) is the pull out bedside table does not latch. If you have a glass of water on there overnight or a cup of tea in the morning it would be very easy to send things flying as you accidentally nudge the table back in again especially when getting out of bed. Apart from that it's a great caravan.
Lovely!. Mark if you get a buccaneer Aruba, let us know . We need a 6 berth . Though for £10,000 less you can get the Elddis avante 840, which has same layout as the Aruba and most of buccaneer extras . That’s a lovely van though
It is not advisable to set the E&P levelling system on automatic and walk away leaving it to itself. Much better to keep the hand held device in your hand so that you can press the emergency STOP if something goes wrong. The nearside front leg on my caravan started to make a strange noise as it was going down and ripped itself off the underside of the floor necessitating some major surgery to repair the floor.
Mark, you keep liking the long Elddis Skylight, here's a little test for you. Imagine height of summer, lovely hot day, you want some extra air into the caravan. I know lets open the skylight to it maximum top latch. I'm 5'9" and it's a challenge for me. Oh and just hope a breathe of wind doesn't catch it on it's top latch. Go on try it and have some fun. 😉
@@thecaravanplace It came down with a fair old clatter - we spilt our drinks. And then there is what I called 'the long walk', closing and opening the blind. Design over function. You may not have realised, but I'm not a fan of this particular skylight.
Would never buy a new van again, loose too much money , have a Swift at the moment, 3 yrs old, worst van ever, Had 3 Baileys before, Wished we'd have bought a new Bailey instead of the swift,
Hello mark,I got in touch with you a bit ago about my truma heating and said it's coming up with a error code 45,we were away this weekend and the campsite tripped out because of some builders and our heating went on overheat shut down. I dont have a manual to find out how to restart it could you please if possible tell me. Keep ip the good work, thanks Tony
Possibly disconnect the electric and battery for 5 mins and this may reset the system back, if not, on the boiler you can remove the cover which the wires are under (make sure you have disconnected the 230v mains hookup first) and at the fron below the yellow sticker is a round hole, you can press in here, then between the black and white wire is a brown button, if you now press the brown button until the lights flash. This will reset the boiler. Hope it helps.
A lovely van there Mark. I would like the features of an Bucaneer but I am still not sure about the aluminium exterior and wood boards inside if you have any issues. Currently on the look out for a used AWD auto motor mover system to make setting up easier for us.
@@thecaravanplace Well we did, then we noticed that the price of everything is going up so not the time to have extra 12K of debt. Maybe some day if the channel ever takes off to make the money.
@@RollingwithTheRobsons I always foumd we got to site and felt trapped, unless we had done lots of research for local transport etc. Everything is just going silly with price.
The Aluminium exterior is the one thing I don’t like about our 2018 cruiser. It is very prone to dings from stones, or bird strikes (yes, had one), pilot error, unexplained dings from storage, looking at it in a funny way, you name it🙂. A leisure vehicle should be more robust. The Dometic Heki rear large skylight exterior frame is also prone to cracking causing a leak onto the bed, so something worth checking when viewing.
How much out of curiosity will this one be going up for? We have a 2019 buccaneer Aruba with air con, awd movers, wifi, bike rack and satellite dish but would like to get a cruiser next
I am actively considering buying a new Buccaneer for 2023, to replace my, bought new, 18 year old Sterling Eccles Jewel. This is likely to be my last van purchase. However my major concern is the lack of user payload. 159Kg payload for the Bermuda model. You have in your van a mover 60Kg, awning 35Kg, battery 25Kg. Lets say 10Litres of water 10Kg, (toilet when travelling), Perhaps aircon 35Kg. You are now illegally towing as you have exceeded the MTPLM. No clothes, food, pots and pans as yet. This is the only reason why I have not yet put my deposit down for this otherwise fantastic van. The rather annoying feature is that Buccaneer can fix this by using an upgraded ALKO chassis which costs them no more money and requires no retooling of their production line. ( information issued to me during their excellent factory open day last year). I find it hard to believe that people like myself who wish to spend months using their van each year have to make significant compromises when spending this much money of their savings on the van. Rant over. If only Buccaneer would listen to their customers! I like this channel and find the info both informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work.
I ordered a 2022 commodore model in September and had the chassis upgraded to 2 tonne foc. Spoke to my dealer yesterday it’s due to be delivered to them 7/10 days so hopefully will have in April. Some of the Sept orders are going out to July due to supply chain issues. They are taking 2023 orders now like most manufacturers so if you are series I would definitely decide and of course 2023 will be £43k. Happy Caravanning
Me and my partner come Saturday to look at your vans. We saw this and it’s a nice van. Just a shame your salesmen was to busy eating is dinner to show us any attention. I understand they don’t want jump on people as soon as they walk throw the gates. But didn’t even offer us a seat when we walked into the office to ask for more info. We’ve now done a deal on a brand new one on the same day.
Sorry to hear this. He is on his own at the moment unfortunately, so he has to try and get his lunch in-between customers and vans going out, we should have another sales member on hand at the weekends soon, so this will hopefully improve this in the future. Your feedback is much appreciated 👍
Stunning Caravan I would sell the house and live in that van, USB ports missing above the bed who would care about that, can you not walk 4 feet and charge your phone or tablet in the lounge area. lol lol lol
Why isit ever video of yours i watch the video is not clear but everything else on youtube is crystal clear 🤔. None the less the videos are good just wish i could see the better
Is it the video quality? You may be able to change the settings on youtube, along the bottom of the video bar there is a cog which is the settings, you can change the video quality to a 720p which may help? Let me know if this works?
Ok how much is this one
Wish you’d tell us the prices when showing us😄

Wow I've not seen this before. Good idea, get the wife to set up and you keep an eye on the E&P. Hope you got all fixed ok.👍
I love the counter raised platform shelf, beautiful. I wonder can these be installed in any caravan.
It would be a DIY mod, but if you can get the worktop it shouldn't be that difficult.
@@thecaravanplace I think it's pretty possible to do a nice DIY mod of this,I'll have to ponder on the idea 💡

Hi
Interesting reading
I,m 5ft 7 and have no issues opening mine?
It’s like any sky lite , be aware of strong winds when opening.
Gorgeous van Mark.... my sister and her hubbie have a Buccaneer .... they're lovely......one day ... one day lol.. regards Paolo and Rog x

You should be able to upgrade the payload, I'm not sure if they are on the maximum already but worth asking if your vehicle can tow the extra weight.

Hi The upgrade is an extra 10Kg. Better than nowt but will not solve the issue.
On the commodore it’s an extra 30 KG and it all helps.
Would be nice if you didn't use a panorama lense as it distorts the actual size.
We use the Go pro which fisheyes the image slightly to get more of a view, I will see of we can change the settings to make this any better. Thanks

Tow mine with an x5
