I agree but I think Honda fans will be lucky to see these on time. To me this is still more of the Japanese auto makers pretending to come out with real world EVs to placaate all the crutucusm
The rear of the SUV reminds me of a Pontiac Aztec. The front looks okay. I’m not a fan of the huge screen. I do like a big screen but I don’t think that more is always better. I don’t like the way your eyes have to adjust for the digital mirrors. I see the benefit and want to like them but haven’t used one that didn’t feel like a strain on my eyes. The saloon with no rear window is an easy no for me. The Prologue is selling because it’s normal. In any case, don’t expect the final cars to really look like these two.
How do you guys like new Honda Sony mobility car name Afeela that they just revealed last week? I hope you guys talk about how you guys like it and what needs improved upon. Thank you!
The Afeela was revealed 2 years ago at CES 2023. We were at the reveal and covered it. Then we got a tour of the Afeela last year. th-cam.com/video/BmeDtS4NQoY/w-d-xo.html We filmed with it again this year but....we are quite conflicted....so not sure if we will make a video or not. - Liv
Wow, those are not my fathers Hondas 🤯 It will be interesting to see how close they can get the production version to this. I think 300 miles range is fine if the charging curve is good. But the first impression is awesome, will definitely look forward to these.
I don't understand Honda's strategy of competing with itself through its Afeela initiative with Sony. Nice callback to the CRX with the small rear window.
Interesting but the devil is in the details. Hopefully more details will be coming out sooner than later if they stay on track for 2026 releases. Great content. Look forward to more CES content soon. Still looking for more range in future vehicles. 300 is OK for around town driving but as more and more EV get on the road greater range will be key to future sales IMHO as we are a very driving centric country.
Many years ago when I was learning to drive. We were taught that the best way to hold the steering wheel of a car is the 10 and 2 position. But don't see how one can hold the steering wheel in these new cars.
Yeah, I personally like a full steering wheel so that I can have my hands in many positions: top, bottom, sides... these yokes appear restrictive, although people will probably adapt.
excpet the 2026 prelude... nothing changed from ext from proto to official production model. perhaps honda maybe sticking to it, especially with the huge success of the cybertrucks wonky design. this may be the true future of cars.
Love the vehicles but 300 miles range is an antiquated and old bar to set. It needs to be delegated to budget models. It just doesn’t hold up anymore. I don’t want to have to charge the battery to a non-ideal 100% to make a trip to a relatives house. I think these car makers forget how big the United States is and how much we rely on our cars here. I don’t want to break my trip up into a bunch of micro charging stops just so I can quickly charge at an expensive charger when charging at home was convenient and cheap. I’d rather leave the house with a cheaply, fully charged, long range battery and minimize any expensive stops. I don’t want to have to worry about non ideal weather conditions lowering range while driving. That’s why I ignore everything that isn’t a long range model. The benchmark needs to be above 300 miles if these cars are to replace the multi use daily driver. Honestly, it’s the reason why the Chevy Silverado, Tesla long range and anything getting more than 300 miles range is more appealing. It’s not as cool as the Honda, in most cases, but it’s more appealing when I see how much range I have to work with when I’m hitting the interstate.
Thank you for the content, Patrick and Liv. I, personally, don't love the exterior looks. I do like that they will be steer-by-wire. I would prefer Honda to make an EV for the masses like the Civic used to be for ICE cars..
finally some japanese cars stopped being lazy with their designs... thanks to South Korean cars, they can confidently produce cars with bold designs and take risk into real world car productions.
The rears look horrible! If they were going to make it big and flat like that, they probably should have made it a big window or left it black. Reminds me of the Insight 😂 The digital mirrors will probably be hard to use if the sun is on the far right (glare) or directly in back (blinding camera). That super sensitive touch door is an accident waiting to happen. The more and more I saw of this vehicle, the worse I felt about it.
The front of the SUV looks pretty cool the back looks horrible and the saloon looks like something in a futuristic movie that’s not out yet!😂
Great video! Lamborghini Gallardo is what Saloon reminds me of!
Thanks Jordan!! You're filming with these right now right?! - Liv
That front end reminds me of a Lamborghini. but wow, I thought I was going to dislike the design but with your video it looks so darn cool!
"If it ain't broke, don't yoke..."
Yoke is nice with steer by wire. With standard steering it's a pain.
Super excited for these two vehicles. From a Tesla owner.
And not to be associated with the POS DOUCHE BAG MUSK!!!!!!
실내도 멋지고 실외도 너무 멋지네요.이대로나온다면 대성공할거같아요
Let's hope so!! - Liv
It doesn't matter how big the Aku is, what matters is how fast can charge it 😎
I want to buy this now!
Somebody told me it'll be out in 16 months.
In 2026, minimum range should be 350 miles. Fast charging should be 200 kW minimum.
I agree but I think Honda fans will be lucky to see these on time. To me this is still more of the Japanese auto makers pretending to come out with real world EVs to placaate all the crutucusm
Im very excited by the Saloon. I assume it has a trunk and hopefully a frunk?
The suspension will be something to consider. The first thing I think of for the Saloon is being able to go over a speed bump.
Please, please, please move the charge port to left rear or right front.
Future Design

I saw on google that it starting at 50,000. Idk if its 2026 or 2027

hope they improve the interior reflectivity can't see it in florida....

Sodium ion batteries?……price ?

You guys didn’t show the back of the first car the second row
Hopefully we get to film with them again soon and we'll make sure to catch everything we missed! - Liv
@ aww perfect! Thanks! These cars look amazing!

One lets the car do the steering

If there was a full steering wheel he would be complaining that he can’t see the drivers screen. That’s the reason for the yoke as he called it.
@@fredlevinssr3021 Not if you properly design the instrument cluster. It's not that hard.
I guess Honda’s not gonna have Acura anymore? They’re just gonna make high-end vehicles alongside their semi affordable other vehicles!😂
I really hope the fix the back end. And I hope the software is not ancient
Italdesign!!!!
We take a closer look at them in an upcoming video!
Honda’s production car will never be shipped like the concept cars 😂

Excellent, I hope you will get better and better.😀
If you showed this to a village in 1608 they’d all have simultaneous heart attacks
Cyberpunk Ahh cars. Interesting

Said that shi for 2 likes.
I getting whale shark from the saloon.
Danger, Danger! The Yoke should be illegal for street cars.
Not unless it’s drive by wire ! 😊
Speak for yourself! I will have the yoke please!! 😂😅😂
Very nice ....price is everything.....do not need self drive feature.....door handles terrible design.....always should be mechanical......
Pretty clunky dialogue but otherwise cool car.
Name checks out 😆 Thanks for watching - Liv
Your share is fantastic! It's informative and insightful. I've gained a lot from it.

Steering wheel
Need a Tesla alternative
@@michae1601 There are already lots and lots of Tesla alternatives.
@@MachE_VLOGnot enough
@@blackwhirlwind1245 Don't worry, there are lots more coming, too.

Steering wheel all the way.
The steering wheel will block your view of the display - the yoke solves that!
The front of the SUV looks like a Dodge charger, the rear is ugly. Probably a nice car but ugly.
ew
absolutely awful

I was wondering about the touch door. I do love how easy it is but it must have a safety feature when moving. - Liv
