@@asparagus. Thanks a lot for the details I appreciate it🥰 I really want to visit Aso mountain but didn't know how to get there. Also I want to know what kind of activities we can do there!!
@@kh95line92 These are my recommendations of how to get to Aso: 1) Train: I personally love taking the train to Aso because the view of nature from the train window is simply breathtaking. Start your journey at Kumamoto station and hop on a train bound for Aso station. You'll find both local trains (you can check the timetable on Google Maps, it's pretty accurate) and a special train called Aso Boy, which is decorated with an adorable dog mascot. If you're interested in the Aso Boy train, you can get more details and make a reservation on their website: www.jrkyushu.co.jp/english/train/asoboy.html. Once you arrive at Aso station, there's a convenient bus stop right in front. Take the bus to Aso mountain, and enjoy the scenic landscape views along the way. The final stop is 'Kusarenri Aso Kazan,' where you'll find a volcano museum, restaurant, cafe, and even an ice cream shop. From there, you can easily cross the road to Kusarenri, a large prairie hill that offers a fantastic view of the volcano. If you're up for a hike, there are pathways that lead up to Mt. Eboshi and Mt. Kishima. Once you reach the mountaintop, you'll be rewarded with an incredible panoramic landscape. 2) Car: Driving is also a popular option, I saw many people drive there and you'll find a parking lot near the bus stop. Activities: There's plenty to do in Aso, such as walking around, horse riding, and trekking. If you're interested in seeing Nakadake crater up close, please note that its opening hours may vary due to volcanic gas emissions. Before heading there, I recommend checking the website for updates: www.aso.ne.jp/~volcano/eng/. The Mt. Aso National Park area is vast, and you can easily spend an entire day exploring its beauty! :)
