Why do we make triangles in soccer?

Triangles are important to creating space and progressing up the field in soccer and this video should be helpful in getting this across to your players.

The direction of the triangle is really important they should be pointed up the field and back the field like this < >
because when someone is dribbling up the field the have easier passing options.
