If when you're walking your feet become wet , even through sweat, it's a good idea to change your socks, throughout your day. This will help reduce boot fatigue.
Not much. Just a few 5+mile walks to get used to wearing my pack. But I am pretty physically fit and do a cardio/strength workout regularly. It was my feet that were the least ready!
