7:42 Tuomas talked about this in his interviews and he was very clear: He never starts writing music until he knows what the song is going to be about. Upd.: Here is an excerpt from one of his interviews that I found: "- What is your creating process? - It always starts with a story, with the theme of the song. I don’t think I’ve ever done a single song just jamming with my keyboard, starting from a melody and developing through that. It’s always the other way around for me. I think: I need to write a song about long lost love, heartbreak, this book I read that’s really inspired me or any other topic. How would I bring this story alive? Is this a metal song? Does it have folk elements in it? Is it a ballad? Is it piano orientated or acoustic guitar orientated? This is really fascinating, I really love this process of trying to find the perfect approach to tell that particular story. Then I write the music, and after the music is ready I write the final lyrics. After that, I kind of polish the corners again and again for months until I reach a point in which I can’t contribute anymore to the song. That’s when I present the song to the other members of the band and we start again from scratch. Sometimes, when I present the song to the band, they’re completely happy with it and it’s almost exactly how I imagined it originally. Sometimes it changes a lot. Maybe a guitar player might say “that riff’s not really good, how about this?” and then it’s perfect. Maybe Floor changes the vocal line and it gets perfect. It’s a collaboration, that’s why we are a band."
Chase...i have made similar comments before, but felt the need to bring this up again. Your ability to digest the big picture and help others understand using your humble, thoughtful, and ridiculously insightful manner puts you in a really small group. It is easy to see how you have been lured in by Nightwish, because I think you are of similar cloth and talent. I grew up listening to another band that not everyone understands...RUSH. Both bands take a very cerebral approach to not just the music, but the message, and the adventure they take you on. And you almost have to submit and trust them in order to get the deepest meanings of what they are trying to say. Sorry for rambling, but thank you for all that you do.
It’s not you getting old, there’s a lot of discussion about how Floor’s vocal has been mixed. From what Kai has already said, it’s a very deliberate choice and they’re aware some people may have issues with it.
The idea was apparently to have the chorus be a choir, which would make sense with the theme of the song, but it's not super clear when listening since you still primarily hear Floor, so yeah it's a bit of an awkward in-between. Though I can't believe how overdramatic some people can be, saying it ruins the song and everything, like chill guys it's a small detail
Yeah Tuomas is Tuomas 🤘🔥 And it's not just You notice little bit quiet mix for Floor 😜🎧😜 Thanks for reaction 🙏 Awaiting for more to come Take care buddy 👍🤘
I like it, personally, Nightwish isn’t supposed to be a vocal showcase for Floor at all times. If it suits the song, it’s the right choice for the song
There are many documentaries about Nightwish and the question "what comes first, message or melody?" was answered directly by Tuomas. I just can't remember the answer :) I think he said "message".
Equal importance on every aspect. You said it yourself Chase. This includes the visual aspect of the song. I watched it almost without blinking. There may be some scenes and messages I feel that you might've missed, do make sure to watch it again and again.
Nightwish is what brought me to your channel when you started reacting to Nightwish. You and your observations have given so much to me over these years, so thank you 😊 Your reaction is what I was waiting the most (of course after the song itself 😉).
I am not sure if I made this statement before on your channel, but as for the message or the melody comment, I might be able to give you a little insight. During Covid Tuomas did a Q&A where he discussed various things from being a level 97 wood elf in Skyrim to slightly touching on politics. One of the questions he received was advice for writing good songs. His exact (advice) response was this; “Be humble before the song, before the story you want to tell. Listen to how the song wants to be told. Be humble before for it and execute.” I follow that in everything I do in life. The best advice I’ve ever heard from someone. And it reflects in the music he creates.
The evolution of this band is incredible; listening to their first songs and compare them to todays songs - two worlds and at the same time always Nightwish. I love it when bands evolve like this, adapt to changes (especially of members) and follow their visions. I am sure Nightwish will never be mainstream but will remain a source of challenging music with deep meaning. I at least hope this. There is too much superficial music today, always the same blablabla and music "composed" by computers. I prefer ambitious bands with visions and the courage to go new ways and follow their own no matter if they lose fans who want them not to change but stay in a former state. I will go on following them on this way and I am curious what future will bring, with Nightwish and in general.
About the weird sound of Floor´s voice in the chorus, and since I read the comment of Kai Hahto about this is on purpose, IT MAKES ALL SENSE FOR ME. Think about it: during the video, the characters of the band are like ghosts in the middle of books and weird creatures. But when I realized about what the song is telling, AND NW IS ALWAYS STORYTELLING, I discovered that Floor´s voice is surrounded by "vocal ghosts" too. It´s like if all her ancestors were participating together with she. I don´t know if I´m overthinking about this... but seems a very reasonable interpretation for me since I read Kai´s comment.
Your multi course meal/happy meal analogy for the state of the music industry might just be the best I have ever heard. Looking forward to the banquet that will be Yesterwynde
I love NW for years from Oceanborn album and they never disappointed me not once!!! Singers maybe changed, musicians too but NW for me is Tuomas and he is still in the band, he is the half of the band alone. I do i like the song,it reminds me the song music from the human nature album, big intro and Auri in the end. I have listened five times already and i am enthusiastic with the song and what is coming next, how many beautiful songs will follow.
A Chase reaction to Nightwish, sitting in front of a bed in a light room. That's some timeless perfume right there. A scent of the memory of seeing the Ghost Love Score reaction pop up in my feed four (?) years ago. Then and now helping to make it a damn good day!
Hello again, Chase. Living in Arizona are you? Terrific. Phoenix Nightwish fan here. Carol, my lovely wife of 43 years, and I got to travel from here to San Francisco to see them live at the Warfield on May 18th, 2022. Wonderful show. And we have been waiting for this first release from their upcoming new album. I have already watched and listened to this lovely video and masterful composition dozens of times and am awestruck by its beauty and the depth of the message in its lyrics: Something from the earth came Something for the world Mosaic of broken fragile pieces Tesserae of the deceased Born to a novel world Endless chain unbroken Silent clocks rewinding My song it is for mankind Embers to the stars We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed Time set For a curious ghost Lives lived plain and epic Of eudaemonia 12 score and 1 chain of lives unending Welcoming as my offspring Walks me to the weave My song it is for mankind Embers to the stars We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed Time set For a curious ghost We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed Time set For a curious ghost (We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves) (We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs on a deathbed) (We are their heir, dust on their palm We are because of a million loves) (We're the perfume of the timeless Last sighs of a million loves) Who writes music like this? Only Tuomas Holopainen. And who performs that music? Nightwish. And yes... Floor absolutely kills this performance. Also kudos to Troy for the lovely soft vocals he brings to the end... very reminiscent of his work on Auri. Love, love, love it. And a huge thank you, Chase, for reacting to this.
Some probability calculations: Step 1. Probability of boy meeting girl: one in 20,000. Step 2. Probability of same boy knocking up same girl: one in 2000. Step 3. Probability of right sperm meeting right egg: one in 400 quadrillion. Step 4. Now lets assume that you have just those 12 generations of ancestors mentioned in the intro to this song. For the probability of every one of those 12 generations of your ancestors having reproduced successfully with right sperm having met the right egg is 400 quadrillion to the 12th power. Given these 4 steps, the probability of you being born you at the present moment is 20k x 2k x 400 quadrillion to the 13th power. Going backwards in time with even more generations of your ancestors, we soon reach a probability of 1 divided by the number of atoms in the entire universe. This makes each one of us a unique miracle.
@@donepearce This doesn't change the fact that ones existence is a miracle given the odds against it. Your way of thinking negates all probability calculations meaningless.

Hear echoes of EFMB, Human Nature and perfume of Nightwish history, while also being new , fresh and achingly poignant. The Nightwish magic continues! It will always spellbind me. Love the song on repeat all afternoon.
The guitars and the orchestration is sooooo EFMB, while the theme and lyrics seem a natural sequel to Human :||: Nature. And this blends well into some Imaginaerum vibes. For me, it seems like a perfect sum of a post-Tarja Nightwish.
Great reaction again! I love the reference to us being fed fast food of music daily instead of a 12 course meal in upscale restaurant. We all love Nightwish for creating musical experiences so we should NOT BE SURPRISED, but I for one am absolutely floored, mind blown! There has never been, there will never be, another Tuomas Holopainen! And Nightwish is the G.O.A.T.
Hey, Tuomas. You have done something special. In the 1970s I found a medium that I could really relate to - music! It was something special then. One formed ones own opinions about the bands and artists one heard. We all had our favourite genres and artists and followed them like sheep. Why? Because their music was special to us. We could not wait for the next album or single to come out, so we could wallow in the music we loved. Sadly, it was not to last. For the last twenty or thirty years, I have listened to so much crappy music produced by silly recording companies who are only interested in making a fast buck, uncaring about the artists or their fans - just get the next one out and make more cash. Now, Nightwish have come along and not only changed all that, but with this song have turned music into something different; something cerebral. People who listen to this music and find it does something for them, somehow learn to think again. Nightwish has made an old, old man feel happy again when he listens to music. No day is now complete for me if I don't listen to at least thee pieces of their music! Good reaction Chase, I feel sure you will understand what I mean. Keep up the good work man, you are doing fine!!!
You are correct sir! They never disappoint. I look at this song as a sequel to The Greatest Show On Earth. Thanks for another insightful reaction. Cheers!
I've heard this song several times now and like all Nightwish songs it grows on me. I love the bridge part between the verse and the chorus and personally, I noticed how Floor's voice is mixed in the chorus and it's hard to make out what she's singing, but it does give it a grand choir feel and I love that. And that break down is just epic. Great song overal and if you concider it's just their commercial single, you can only imagine how amazing the album is going to be.
So.... dear Chase what can I say.... i drop a tear from the first note ... and alm the hole song to the end.. One more time Tuomas chills me to the bone.... the lyrics, the music, Floor's voice, all the message ... absolutely stunning... I see your face... that was my face too... jajaj A deep hug from Mar del Plata, Argentina. We are passing a hard... hard time here and today I go to sleep with a smile hearing this song again and again and again....
As always, another fabulous reaction Chase, and another epic masterpiece from Nightwish. I wouldn’t expect anything less from either ! Awesome channel.
The intro is a mix of “all things Nightwish” - metal, folk & symphonic & a meaningful message about us & the world we live in. These themes from Tuomas / Nightwish are long standing - in fact the lyrics from A Return to the Sea - seem to be portrayed in this video - then there is connections from The Greatest Show on Earth & more recently Endlessness, Procession, Noise, Pan & Shoemaker (visual ) & Harvest. Lots of the talent on display from our favourite talented musicians! Another great reminder WE WERE HERE!
As usual, watching you "get" Nightwish is such a pleasure. Thank you for that heartfelt and authentic reaction. I started my Nightwish journey a couple of years ago, so, very late to the experience. When I first found them, I also found your reactions, and they guided me so well along the path to understanding and loving this band. For that, sir, you have my sincere gratitude.
The most anticipated reaction to this song. In May, I have never anticipated September to come soon. I probably should be worried since the summer is sooo short here in Finland.
Thank you!! It is a great song! Perfume of the Timeless is something new but it feels very familiar. The orchestral parts reminds me a lot of NW's album Once. And that gets me really excited about new album! ('Cause I really loved the orchestration in Once). Even without knowing this is Nightwish you could 100% that it is them.
I am here almost since the beginning, I follow your Nightwish and Floor reactions for years. And your reactions always make me feel grateful to follow someone who loves and FEELS Nightwish as I do. They are my favorite band for the past 21 years, I've seen than live 9 times and they never fail to amaze me. Can wait to hear the new songs and see your videos. Best from Brazil!
Many other reactors over time have changed their formula, as it were, and slowly (or quickly) lose "it" that brought the connection in the first place. Not you, Chase. Every time I come back you are still doing it like you always have, and it always comes across. NGL I got extra emotional listening this time because it was you.
Oh, so good to see you here back! Greetings from the german ore mountains! I remember my first video i had see from you.... such emotional (Voice of my Father).
There's a fascinating parallel - Tuomas is obsessed with Darwin's evolution of the species, while we have been privileged to watch the evolution of Nightwish. Thanks for the usual excellent analysis Chase, I was confident that you wouldn't take long to jump on it! 🤗
Hey Chase, first to your question from the 8th minute: for Thuomas, the idea/the story always comes first, then the music writing. He mentioned that in an interview not so long ago. Also, I wanted to thank you for all your great Nightwish breakdowns and all I could learn from them. Keep going. 👍 Aaaaand...I just saw that you haven't done a reaction to "Stargazers" yet. It's an older song they hadn't been playing for a long time because of its operatic vocals. But with Floor they were able to put it back on the set list for the concert in Tampere, in my opinion the best live version of the song. Floor really shows off her operatic skills in this one and it would be really awesome to see a breakdown of the song. (; Again, thanks so much for all you've done for us and this wonderful band. Hoping to see a lot more Nightwish reactions to come. All my best wishes for the future from Germany. 😉
Tuomas writes the story first. Then he imagines how to express the story in music including which instruments og voice techniques - the he composes it. Afterwards the others puts their personal fingerprint on the composition - often they do it all together, to get the right perspective. Floor normally makes her first interpretation at home, before joining the camp, where her, Tuomas and Troy fine tunes into the studio version. The live versions are almost entirely Floor's decisions / suggestions. 6 super pro's working as one, trying to make the perfect story you can fell inside - make you think - and remember.
Nightwish has been part of my life for the past 15 years. They are the only band other than Within Temptation that I listen to and watch concerts daily. Sad that both do not get any airplay on radio stations here in the US, that is why I have You Tube premium and don`t mind paying extra.
Always appreciate your heartfelt reviews. It took me quite a while to unravel a few of the layers to this. To the point I was asking many deities how we've been without great music.
Floors mix seems to be a huge topic , as people have explained , it was deliberate.......Tuomas is no fool , theyll be plenty of songs that will display all the vocal acrobats of our favorite powerhouse singer.....just cant wait to hear the rest of the album and in 2/3 years hear it live.
Yeah! Album needs different songs to remains interesting! I am allmost sure that album as a whole sounds better than individual songs themselves! Tuomas has moved more towards concept albums… i am really waiting to here the whole album from beginning to the end!
Hey Chase it was my birthday when Perfume of the Timeless video was released and I noticed yours is on album release date. For the past 400 years our ancestors did good job with timing.
This song is very emotional. I think it makes us feel as part of humanity and nature as a whole. When we meditate about our ancestors, we can feel very lucky to be here, and even that humans are a mess in a lot of ways, we’ve always tried a lot due to survival.
Your reaction at 11:40 was the most genuine response to a Nightwish headbang section I've seen in a long while. That's not to take away from the rest of the reaction, though, you brought up some great points about both the band and their songs there. Well done!
It's a privilege to (again) sit here with you Chase and watch a new Nightwish song together and feel the same things and being awed by Tuomas genius creations. As you say, this is music that have to be experienced with the whole body. I have learned so much about music thanks to you and that also rekindled my love for Nightwish that was fading some before Floor took her rightful place! 😄❤Thanks again man for a good reaction and keep up the good work!
was looking forward to your reaction! ❤ i love that unexpected bass transition at 15:02! definitely the song has grown in me from the first listening and their new album will be a gift for all of us who love their music! thanks for another great reaction!
I came back today to re-watch your reaction, which you did thoughtfully....I came back because I just watched your friend "Tank the Tech" react to this song, in which he Disses it terribly, like someone paid a lot money to do so....I was pretty much Pissed he did that, it also brought out all the Tuomas and Nightwish haters....I'm 80 years old, and it took me a lifetime to hear a band that is Consistently as good as Nightwish.... Bless you, Bob from New Jersey
I can and will only ever speak for myself. I really enjoyed this. I had some thoughts around the mix, but this channel was always meant to share the magic of music and hopefully learn a little more in the process. Thank you for your support and hope you have a lovely day, Bob!
This is going to be a fun few weeks watching many regular NW reactors who’ve only been into the band for a few weeks/months/years get their first taste of new music from the band. Same thing happened about 18 months ago when Metallica dropped “Lux Aeterna” as the lead single ahead of “72 Seasons”… That song was a journey, and the video was amazing. Looking forward to the new album, wonder if they’ll give us any more breadcrumbs this side of November…?
I will be able to listen to the new album in advance the day after tomorrow. And the band will be there too... Can't wait! 🤘Your reactions is pure gold!
They have uplifted my mind and heart in understanding music and poetry more than anyone. I was a music major and have been teaching piano for decades. I listen and analyze all music so much better because of Nightwish.
NightWish Army Wisconsin Chapter here. I’ve listened to this song many times now and absolutely love it. Another Tuomas masterpiece. Been reading many comments and see very unbalanced thoughts. Some love it, some don’t. Some even call it garbage. I often remember that even Mozart was told his compositions were garbage. Music is very selective. You either like it or you don’t based on what your brain hears and what makes sense to your hearing. I personally think this song is so well done, very intellectually written and performed. Great reaction ❤️🤘
The ones who call it garbage are the musical fastfood eaters. Spoiled and not able to see the enormous skill, feeling, dedication, love and hard work that a work like this needs. Like Chase says: Thank God for this band. A salute from the Netherlands to the Nightwish Army Wisconsin. Enjoy the ride! ❤
Well I love the song and i love the message, but bad mixing and bad mastering is not something very subjective really. Tuomas is a legend and he messed up this time. it happens!
@@akashvankessel1249 I made this same analogy in another reaction yesterday. People are used to 3 minute songs with an unchanging tempo that their simple brains can wrap around...something for most people, but much like a franchise restaurant....mass production. Some, on the other hand, like to enjoy a Michelin star experience, fine dining only found at selected locations...everything is handmade with the finest ingredients. Nightwish in no way, shape or form is a franchise restaurant, they are 5 star Michelin, all the way. NIghtwish Army, Texas.
As much as you send thanks to Nightwish for their storytelling camouflaged as music... I really like to thank You for your exceptional explanations about your understanding of their stories! It has really helped me to understand and appreciate Nightwish's music even more! So Thank You Chase! 🤩
Thank you so much for the video. Hi from Ukraine) I was listening to this song today, somewhere outside the window there were sounds of rockets and bombs exploding, but I was listening to the music. We've all waited so long for this and it has already delivered in a very ''Nightwish'' way. Hope you're keeping safe and thank you for watching and supporting.
It is very significant that first with Nightwish when I first heard Oceansborn in 1998 and then when I saw Floor live for the first time in 2004 with After Forever, they were both love at first sight (or at the first listen). And here I am, more than 20 years later, enjoying the perfect union of wonderful music and a voice from another world and also with videos like yours that have helped me understand and appreciate their music better. Thanks!

I like it, personally, Nightwish isn’t supposed to be a vocal showcase for Floor at all times. If it suits the song, it’s the right choice for the song
Just another typical Chase reaction, where the emotions can be read from your face. Love it, just as I love Nightwish
Magic and mystery hope and criticism wrapped up in our senses we define the mystery and our stories are timeless
You and your observations have given so much to me over these years, so thank you 😊
Your reaction is what I was waiting the most (of course after the song itself 😉).
Of course haha. Thank you so much for your kindness and sticking with my videos. Grateful to you all and the band.
I concur!
I concur
I might be a week late but this gives me nostalgia to pandemic times when every week I watched your Nightwish reactions. It feels like ages ago now..
🙏🙏🙏 thank you for sticking around and supporting.
Thank you for your honest heartfelt reaction again ... thank you for being you ... stay golden my man
I appreciate that a whole bunch. Always gonna be me I promise.
Chase have so different kind of knowledge, love Chase reaction
I've been waiting for this song and your reaction.
It's here now. Hope you enjoy.
Yesssss, Nightwish is back and with a banger! Strap in Chase, we are going to be on a rollercoaster again mate 😁
Buckled up and ready my friend.
I am not sure if I made this statement before on your channel, but as for the message or the melody comment, I might be able to give you a little insight.
During Covid Tuomas did a Q&A where he discussed various things from being a level 97 wood elf in Skyrim to slightly touching on politics.
One of the questions he received was advice for writing good songs. His exact (advice) response was this;
“Be humble before the song, before the story you want to tell. Listen to how the song wants to be told. Be humble before for it and execute.”
I follow that in everything I do in life.
I don´t know if I´m overthinking about this... but seems a very reasonable interpretation for me since I read Kai´s comment.
he tenido el mismo pensamiento 😊
That makes a lot of sense, if you ask me... It's important to mind that the chorus always says "We are", so she is speaking for more than herself.
The fact this is the single and therefore, most likely, the most “mainstream” song on the album is very exciting to me
A Chase reaction to Nightwish, sitting in front of a bed in a light room. That's some timeless perfume right there. A scent of the memory of seeing the Ghost Love Score reaction pop up in my feed four (?) years ago. Then and now helping to make it a damn good day!
We love to watch your reaction with your truth feelings written directly in your face.
We love everything about them!
And then some.
Hi chase I'll be 64 on the 22nd of September and the only thing I'll need is THIS ALBUM,
Great reaction as always and lol your not getting old.
My excitement for the upcoming album went up even more after this shining pearl.
We're all there with you my friend.
darn, it is good to see you and your reaction on Nightwish again!!! Thanks to you I learned to listen better. congrats on your private life💕
Feels like I'm seeing an old friend again. Here's to the band that has become embedded into our DNA.
Oh, given how you met your other half due to their music, think they will ever show up to discuss this with you? Think it could be cute. Lol
I have already watched and listened to this lovely video and masterful composition dozens of times and am awestruck by its beauty and the depth of the message in its lyrics:
Something from the earth came
Something for the world
Mosaic of broken fragile pieces
Tesserae of the deceased
Born to a novel world
Endless chain unbroken
Silent clocks rewinding
My song it is for mankind
Embers to the stars
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed
Time set For a curious ghost
Lives lived plain and epic
Of eudaemonia 12 score and 1 chain of lives unending
Welcoming as my offspring
Walks me to the weave
My song it is for mankind
Embers to the stars
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed
Time set For a curious ghost
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed
We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves
We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed
Time set For a curious ghost
(We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves)
(We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs on a deathbed)
(We are their heir, dust on their palm
We are because of a million loves)
(We're the perfume of the timeless
Last sighs of a million loves)
Who writes music like this? Only Tuomas Holopainen. And who performs that music? Nightwish. And yes... Floor absolutely kills this performance. Also kudos to Troy for the lovely soft vocals he brings to the end... very reminiscent of his work on Auri. Love, love, love it. And a huge thank you, Chase, for reacting to this.
Phoenix NW Army and Chase should get together for a pint!
Some probability calculations:
Step 1.
Nice matching!
@@bradfalusi898 Thanks.
This is like being amazed by the cards that turn up on a random deal. They are what they are and once they have happened, the odds are irrelevant.
@@donepearce This doesn't change the fact that ones existence is a miracle given the odds against it. Your way of thinking negates all probability calculations meaningless.
@@tarmotyyri6733 Probability calculations only have meaning for events that have not yet happened. I invite you to go to your nearest bookie and try to put a bet on a race that was run yesterday,
Pretty honest and open reaction...yes...it is privilege that there is NW...and that genius mind of Tuomas.
Like the greatest show on earth...
Thx Chase...great reaction
Perfectly said, this is the perfect band and this might be the most beautiful video and song I’ve ever seen
I freaking love Nightwish so much and its an absolute you to listen a new Nightwish song for the first time again
Perfectly put 🙏❤️👍😊
Very beautiful, thank you
I came with my lunch packed and wasn’t disappointed, thanks Chase for another great reaction 🤘🏻❤️
Thanks you for watching and for your kindness 🙏
"not happy meal of music" damm thats right. Each new listen i like more more more layers got pealed away.
Thank you for your reaction Chase.
I see your face... that was my face too... jajaj
A deep hug from Mar del Plata, Argentina.
We are passing a hard... hard time here and today I go to sleep with a smile hearing this song again and again and again....
🤗🍒🤘🏻 Great Job chase as always, And how nice to see you again at Nightwish
Thank you for the beautiful, honest, emotionally acknowleded reaction. Just recently came across your channel and I'm so glad I did.
Another great reminder
WE WERE HERE!
Epic song and brilliant video. Enjoyed your reaction to this masterpiece 😀🇸🇪
I guess he is happy 😊😅😊
As usual, watching you "get" Nightwish is such a pleasure. Thank you for that heartfelt and authentic reaction. I started my Nightwish journey a couple of years ago, so, very late to the experience. When I first found them, I also found your reactions, and they guided me so well along the path to understanding and loving this band. For that, sir, you have my sincere gratitude.
Honestly, this means a bunch. So grateful for the support and the opportunity to create content to this band. Appreciate it.
The most anticipated reaction to this song. In May, I have never anticipated September to come soon. I probably should be worried since the summer is sooo short here in Finland.
Wow! Finally you popped up again in my YT-suggestions. Looking forward to your wise insights.
Absolutely cannot wait for a live version of this to come out... gonna be on Greatest Show level epicness...
Unfortunately they won't be touring this album, next live will probably be a couple of years away if lucky
Great reaction, the emotions, the joy so visible. And great final words, I've got nothing to add 🥰
Thank you for watching and supporting 🙏🙏🙏
Great reaction👍 can't wait for the album myself❤
Hey Chase,
first to your question from the 8th minute: for Thuomas, the idea/the story always comes first, then the music writing. He mentioned that in an interview not so long ago.
Also, I wanted to thank you for all your great Nightwish breakdowns and all I could learn from them. Keep going. 👍
Aaaaand...I just saw that you haven't done a reaction to "Stargazers" yet. It's an older song they hadn't been playing for a long time because of its operatic vocals. But with Floor they were able to put it back on the set list for the concert in Tampere, in my opinion the best live version of the song. Floor really shows off her operatic skills in this one and it would be really awesome to see a breakdown of the song. (;
Again, thanks so much for all you've done for us and this wonderful band.
The Song and your reaction - goosebump time!
Hahah happy birthday!!!! Yeah I think they've not done too bad with the timing of it all haha.
@@ChaseCarneson thx! 🥳
This song is very emotional. I think it makes us feel as part of humanity and nature as a whole. When we meditate about our ancestors, we can feel very lucky to be here, and even that humans are a mess in a lot of ways, we’ve always tried a lot due to survival.
I saw you lost for words. That’s what this is music, lyrics, video, it leaves me and many people speechless.
They’re very special
Dark Complex and Intriguing...... Tuomas just delivers these amazing compositions
Great reaction as always , love to see somebody genuinely enjoying music as much as you do .
Your reaction at 11:40 was the most genuine response to a Nightwish headbang section I've seen in a long while. That's not to take away from the rest of the reaction, though, you brought up some great points about both the band and their songs there. Well done!
👏
Like a child on Christmas, love his face it's all emotions
It's a privilege to (again) sit here with you Chase and watch a new Nightwish song together and feel the same things and being awed by Tuomas genius creations. As you say, this is music that have to be experienced with the whole body. I have learned so much about music thanks to you and that also rekindled my love for Nightwish that was fading some before Floor took her rightful place! 😄❤Thanks again man for a good reaction and keep up the good work!
I watched this a dozen times, bought it on iTunes, then searched "perfume timeless chase carneson." You rock, sir.
Not gonna lie I've been refreshing your channel page all day in hope for this haha
Thank you for the support. It's here now and I'm so very glad to share it with you all.
9:00 Chase you are not the only person wishing Floor's vocals were a bit more prominent.
was looking forward to your reaction!
Same thing happened about 18 months ago when Metallica dropped “Lux Aeterna” as the lead single ahead of “72 Seasons”…
That song was a journey, and the video was amazing.
Looking forward to the new album, wonder if they’ll give us any more breadcrumbs this side of November…?
Never seen you so happy with a NW song Chase. Great reaction!
I will be able to listen to the new album in advance the day after tomorrow. And the band will be there too... Can't wait! 🤘Your reactions is pure gold!
When they eventually play this live, it will become the next Ghost Love Score. I just can't wait.
@@tomfavorite1020 brilliant Tom. Yes, they are 5 star Michelin! 👍🏻
As much as you send thanks to Nightwish for their storytelling camouflaged as music... I really like to thank You for your exceptional explanations about your understanding of their stories! It has really helped me to understand and appreciate Nightwish's music even more! So Thank You Chase! 🤩
I know there won't be a tour, but MAN i wanna hear this live, damn, loving it more and more every time I listen to it.
Doing some research "©A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" has something to do with Jukka Nevalainen
I love that you have a deep personal connection to Nightwish
Thank you so much for the video. Hi from Ukraine) I was listening to this song today, somewhere outside the window there were sounds of rockets and bombs exploding, but I was listening to the music. I love Nightwish for more than twenty years. Very much waited for your video, thanks for these emotions😊
We've all waited so long for this and it has already delivered in a very ''Nightwish'' way. Hope you're keeping safe and thank you for watching and supporting.
Thomas in the past has said both have come first depending on the song, but a lot of times is melody first.
Thanks!
yes! this song is everything i hoped it would be. and so is your reaction. ❤
I get Imaginaerum vibes with this song. I just can hear it being played at Wacken 2012. Yes, it should shine when played live!!
Just from this song it feels like the next album will be kind of "Endless forms most beautiful" part 2.
Endless Forms, Human Nature and Yesterwynde are a trilogy:
EFMB - Evolution of Species & History of Earth
HN - Aspects of Humanity & Nature
YW - Recap of Humanity's journey with a positive outlook for the future
I hear so many reactors and others say how much Nightwish has changed their lives, but that is the purpose of music and art.🤘🎸
Thank Tuomas! 😋 Nightwish doing extraordinary Nightwish Things.
