I think it factors in that the Street Fighter characters are acknowledged in Megamans history depending on country of orgin. if you think about it because Ryu was japan's hero for that time, Dr. Light may have found it useful to teach X that move from how powerful it was

@@marx4538Yeah, at least on Secret Lab 3 you do not need the Bare Essentials. Because you can play it as No Armour X unlike all the other ones.

It doesn’t change the fact that I’d rather put lemon juice on an open wound than play this stage, or any for that matter, but I can come back to this and play it if I’m in the mood. Mega Man x7 is a game I could not finish. I’d rather pour salt into my eyes than play that game ever again.
@@hunterfix3034I prefer Mega Man X6 more than X7, because it at least has good gameplay, it has at least 3 Good Levels besides the opening stage.
Also Rainy Turtloid’s stage is good because the Acid Rain Set piece is neat & has Healing Pads, you also need the Blade Armour to get the Shadow Armour Body part & the Heart Tank. The Nightmare Phenomenon won’t ruin the Greatness of this A-Tier Stage.
As an X6 enjoyer I can confirm Guard Shell is TWEAKING
And didn't even used it to cheese High Max

Can also be done with the falcon dash I think.
X6 likes to cheat you the player but you can also cheat it back too if you know what you’re doing.
I actually love X6 probably because when I was young that Japanese rock opening was a banger lol

Oh for sure. X6 is one of my most played X games after X1 and X4. Been playing the "patched" version and oh my goodness, it's so good.
X7...is just painfully slow and boring. Didn't get really fun until I unlocked X.

@@roll5d100 I recently beat X6, and am deep into X7. I think X6 might be top 1 or top 2 of my favorite X games behind X3. X7? I like its ideas but sadly it doesn’t execute many of them well. The parts system being used to level up characters I really like, and the soft-reboot storyline with a large amount of cutscenes was cool too. Only complaint I have for X7’s story (outside of X) is Sigma’s presence being somewhat unnecessary. Maybe I’d have replaced him with Isoc, had Isoc not been “dead” by the end of X6
X6’s story though was great.
So much pain in X6 and in the end Sigma is the easiest

He is hard, what happen is that you go through so much shit, that you play stile was improve so much
Gate was hard as fuck but at some point I managed to devise a strategy with the dragonfly weapon, and also two sub tanks fully charged and life recover if things got pretty bad. Lost one sub tank falling to the abysm, tried again with one sub tank and the life recover, managed to beat him.
Well, I beat this game like 17 years ago, I remember having a hard time with High Max also, but this time I realized the charged saber slash manages to pass through his barrier and you can use the stone weapon to deal a hit.
X6 is a good game, no one is able to convince me otherwise.
@@danilomenoli it's not "bad" for me, more like "flawed" because a lot of good ideas and intentions just don't work very well in hindsight. One example of something i liked in concept but not on practice it's that you can unlock the final area of the game by just beating one or two bosses and just going for High Max with X (i know there's a new speedrun tech that i think let's you defeat Max with just X and no weapons, but i think that's more a glitch and not intended).
The problem i have with this is, even when it's cool to reward exploration and skill, in this case it does absolutely NOTHING because you still need to collect either the Shadow Armor, unlock Zero, or do other non intended shenanigans to pass the very first wall of the last area...................................
I actually like that, it's like, after all his deaths Sigma degraded to this state where he is not even a treat anymore, just a piece of junk that refuses to go

tbh, i really enjoy x6. i embrace the jank that the game has, and it's a great time.
X6 is more bearable than X5 for me since Alia isn’t interrupting your gameplay every 5 seconds, really messes up the pacing. I consider X5 the actual worst of the PS1 trilogy.

My highlight will always be managing to get past the part that's impossible to platform without perfect timing with shadow armor

As a kid I never saw the direct flaws in whatever game I play but now when I go back to it I always thought the annoying difficulty in most sections and me dying in it was just me being shit at the game. Aside from that I genuinely like the game and its mechanics.

Also if you want to easily beat High Max just charge up Guard Shell, it will always hit him in the upper part of the corners and can kill him before he even starts his last phase, doing him with uncharged Guard Shell is annoying

Like, he has absolutely nothing to do with the game except that the actual villain just goes "Oh yeah, I have sigma in my garage around back, you probably better go blow him up too. *Dies*"

X6 is my guilty pleasure. The levels are unpolished and unbalanced as fuck, but God is it satisfying when you deliberately challenge yourself in it and come out winning

Tbf High Max is not the worst in Mega Man X history, it’s actually The Nightmare Mother.
Honestly wasn’t the worst boss ever but since I haven’t played in a fat minute and sort of forgot how to take him out properly but it felt annoying of a boss to me.

YOOO X6! I just got my PS1 in the mail, along with X4, X6, MM8, & Legends 2! Tbh I mainly got a PS1 because of the legends series but being able to play the other games on real hardware is a nice bonus lol. Btw I didn’t beget X5 because I like it less than X6, quite the controversial opinion, but overtime X6 kinda grew on me. I also love the blade & shadow armor, & even the ultimate armor looks beautiful in X6! Really wish they’d bring back that color scheme, but oh well. On a more serious note though, for the past couple months I’ve been going through some tough times & I wanted to say thanks for making Mega man X content it’s such an underrated series. Also I have the 8bitdo SN30 as well! Except mine is an older version that can only be found on eBay & it has the color scheme of a super famicom controller, meaning the A, B, X, & Y buttons are all convex & colorful. It’s super worn out because I’ve had it for 6 years, but it still works on my real snes & switch!
