I have an Elvira (Bally's system 11) with the original battery holder like this one and I can swap out the batteries. Do I still need a diode if I put in a new holder? Because if your able to take the batteries out doesn't that mean they aren't rechargable?
Hi, I have a Bally Black Rose 1992. When I start a game it will reset everytime I push the right flipper. Kinda strange. Any ideas?. Love your videos, going to check my batteries now. Thanks .
Just a dumb beginner question about the diode you put in line. Is it on the positive or negative wire, (I think I know which way it should face to stop battery from receiving current), or is it on both, or does it matter which? Thanks for your Pinball help! :)
I don't believe it matters which wire as long as the orientation is proper. The band should be facing the + side. You can check to see if you have it wired correctly by putting a voltmeter on the leads with the batteries installed. If you don't read any significant voltage, the diode is backwards.

Why did you leave the old holder in?

Awesome I was wondering how to put in a remote battery holder now I know. ^.^
Hey thanks, very helpful indeed.
