I know shillong has been virtually destroyed by migrant workers. I had been visiting shillong for many years till recent past and can say from my personal experience how the once beautiful city was destroyed by outsiders.

Giving ILP to Manipur was not to the interest of many of the people of Manipur. But it was an appeasement policy played by BJP. Regarding the issue of central govt not granting ILP to our State inspite of the fact that Manipur fought for it only about 5 years and got it whereas Meghalaya fought for it since 1985 bit till now has not been granted the same. The resolution to that effect also ha been passed by the Govt in 2019 but still the matter is hanging fire. According to a layman like me, I feel that may be ours is a transit state or there must be another reasons which the Centre hesitate to grant. Why shouldn't our gov have a serious meeting with the centre and pray before it to explain this delay. Or what do you say Bah Donald?

Regarding the issue of central govt not granting ILP to our State inspite of the fact that Manipur fought for it only about 5 years and got it whereas Meghalaya fought for it since 1985 bit till now has not been granted the same. The resolution to that effect also ha been passed by the Govt in 2019 but still the matter is hanging fire.
According to a layman like me, I feel that may be ours is a transit state or there must be another reasons which the Centre hesitate to grant. Why shouldn't our gov have a serious meeting with the centre and pray before it to explain this delay. Or what do you say Bah Donald?
