Thank you snehal for such detailed informative video. This video I believe is a month old, I have never seen Mumbai such!!!! Scary to see such way to travel with masks and food on lap so uncomfortable!!! Top of that as soon as one lands they want to reach home instead pay to stay in hotel, charge for double occupancy and covid test!!!! So much expenses??!!! So government is not providing any facilities or free services it’s all expense on top of flight ticket which inspite of so expensive food on lap throughout flight!!! Whatever happened to making things better in times of difficulties pandemic means it’s a state, country and in this case world emergency yet no comfort comforth??!!! I’m glad I saw your video I won’t fly as of this pandemic. I will pray for you all your wishes come true. Aameen. For saving me from such discomfort journey of covid quarantine. Thanks a lot.

My family has to travel now from US..could you avoid covid after you reached home with precautions..i mean did anything showed up

No! As per policy the hotel didn’t allowed any external items.

Hi Vicky Jatania , after arrival they’ll give you list of hotels starting from 1500/- to 5000/- range in Mumbai, you can choose based on availability.

Was the AC working in the hotel room? I had heard that room AC in 5-star hotels are turned off for quarantine rooms so as to not spread the virus to other guests in the hotel. Thanks for this info.

Hi Snehal, Thanks for much needed information. I need some information on the passengers who want to travel to their hometown via flight after landed on Mumbai. Do they have to quarantine in Mumbai or at hometown?But the connecting flight is next day not on the same arrival day to Mumbai.
Hi Ankit Tiwari, Does your connecting flight falls under VBM or is it a domestic flight that you have booked separately ?
@@snehald184 its a domestic flight not fall under VBM.
Ankit Tiwari, if you fall under any of the exceptional case then they will allow you to travel next day else you will be asked to get quarantine for 7 days. Also if your hometown is in Maharashtra then you can get direct transportation from airport and get quarantine in your town.

Airport authority will give you list of hotels, so you can choose from that.

Post 7 days hotel quarantine, what is the home quarantine duration because at 2:19 the form shows that 14 days residential quarantine is needed, so got confused or is the form not updated?

Once you leave hotel you will be stamped and issued letter to get home quarantined for further 7 days

Hi Neha, If you travel on same day to Pune you have to get quarantine in Pune for 7 days.

I had a quick question, do they take away your passports once you land in Mumbai and you can only collect it back after quarantine period? I heard in one other video where the person landed in Hyderabad and had their passport taken away for the above duration.

Nobody took our passport at Mumbai Airport, we had our passport with us in hotel too.
@@snehald184 Good to know that. Looks like rules are different based on the city that you land like Mumbai doesn't have it but Hyderabad has it.

Hi Michael,
You would need to carry some INR cash for Airport to Hotel transport bus which is arranged by BMC. There were ATMs at Mumbai airport. Your hotel may or may not accept US credit card based on hotel grade..I would suggest you to check with them before booking. Hope it helps.

Yes, for COVID Test as well as stay at hotel & food both , is there options available, can we book the hotel prior to departure or it can be selected from the options given by authority at the time of arrival, please provide detail as I am stuck at UAE with family and want to return
Hi Nishikant, The charges for COVID-19 test was 2800/- rs per person. And hotel price was starting from 1500/- to 5000/- rupees. 3 times meal price was included in hotel charges where we stayed.
