- Waldorf Kyra sounds awesome but did you know that it can function as a soundcard with up to 8 stereo outputs streaming at 96 kHz over its USB port? It’s basically a giant synth DSP farm card for your DAW.

I'm glad someone did this demo! Thanks man!
You're welcome! Science is not dead!
Awesome review on a great piece of kit!!
Nice review, Kyra is sweeet!
On a mac you can probably create aggregated audio device to connect Kyra audio with your main audio interface.
Yes that is a good suggestion! I will give this a try.
I love this synth. Very sad people refuse to make soundsets for it.
It's an amazing synth, but I think they priced it too high.
Do you think this synth might be too difficult for a beginner.
Probly yes
Probably, also really expensive. Check out Sweetwater's list of synths for beginners, www.sweetwater.com/insync/best-synthesizers-for-beginners/
Is that your Music Producer shirt? If so, I had a good idea to give you. Let me know. I'd run with it but have too much other stuff going on.
Yup, that's my t-shirt. They're available here, synchronizedmusic.threadless.com/designs/80s-music-producer
Just to clarify Waldorf didn’t create this synth
Right, but it is being manufactured by Waldorf and distributed by Korg.
I remember the designer was looking to get a deal going with a company that could produce this on a bigger scale.
Waldorfs boss had come across him at a synth gear show, and managed to strike a deal.
@@Beautyoutofruin Very cool, I did not know. The synth designer reached out to me after seeing this review to say thanks. I hope to see more synths from him in the future.
That’s awesome that he reached out to you. Definitely would love to see more from him for sure.
This was the prototype before Waldorf took him on th-cam.com/video/gJjZ7JTN31o/w-d-xo.html
Subbed
Thank you. Thanks for watching.
@@ErikHawk so I hear from users that scrolling thru the wavetables, you have to use those buttons? so no editor for this yet? Such a pretty looking synth
@@audiolego There was no editor when I tested it. But I must say, I didn't really miss having an editor because the display was so easy to navigate. Yeah, gorgeous synth!
So this works like a virus on steroids as far as the interface. Too bad it doesn't sound as good as a virus from what I've heard, but 99.999% of the demos are just boring ambient textures and pads. I need to hear bass. I hear a little bit here in this video.
Oh, like straight up aggressive bass synth sounds, yes it's definitely got these. Sorry I didn't do an EDM demo but yeah the modern, aggressive synth bass patches are in there.
