No offence to Triumph Speed 400 but I had this beautiful dilemma of bikes before choosing Dominar 2023. It was my second crush after TVS Apache 160 . But now before buying a bike I gave a serious thought for 3 months and finally got on with Dominar. My wishlist was filled with Speed 400 , Harley , Honda CB 300 , even RE Hunter. But man !! I do frequent short weekend rides and love everybit of the bass it gives. The thump and acceleration. The stability it has on roads . I feel it was crafted just for me because still majority of Indian riders has really didn't approve it. Recently saw a Speed 400 on highway, sound was good but I really didn't got the Triumph vibe from it. Atleast by the looks I felt the rear is a big let down. It is even worse than Ronins back. No offence I haven't driven it , so cannot comment on the ride dynamics but I am sure it will be a very good bike to ride on. But yes even if I get a chance now also I will choode dominar all day❤
I think the major reason of this bike having low sales figures is the wrong marketing strategy of Bajaj.First thing, they didint do enough advertising and in the advertisements they compared it with RE with the "Hathi mat palo" thing. RE bikes and Dominar are totally different segments and when Dominar was launched people were already crazy for RE and didnt even consider putting D400 as an option against RE. Bajaj should've advertised it as a practical highway cruiser and should've increased advertising with the advancements they bought in this bike as it has improved drastically over the years.
Let me give you guys a real review. I own a 2022 dominar ug, it’s a good bike for its price. Mileage is around 21 km/ltr within cities and 24-26km/ltr on highways , engine gets smooth around 4.5k rpm , there are vibrations below said rpm. It is a heavy bike and will be difficult if you’re short. I am 5”6 and I got used to the weight within a week. This bike will wear you out on long rides as the seating is a little uncomfortable ( for longer rides) but if you install handlebar raisers it’s perfect. Rear brakes are basically useless , they have no bite , I wish Bajaj would Improve this as it’s been an issue for a long time now. Yearly maintenance cost comes around 2.5k rupees which is very nice . Honestly this bike has a lot of potential but people usually sell their dominant 400 within 2 years because it needs a lot of improvement in my honest opinion. Better brakes, better seats, better seating position etc. I love this bike but incomplete karat hai bhai.
In 2018, my friend wanted to purchase his first motorcycle and he didn't knew much about bikes, so he asked me to recommend and his choice was the new RTR Apache 200 of that time which had double barrel exhaust. I told him to get a Dominar, he didn't even know what Dominar was, so I told him about the bike Back then Dominar wasn't even a touring bike, it was those early 2018-19 days when people bought that bike and took it for touring and realised how reliable and amazing that bike is for touring, and now Bajaj is selling this bike as a "SPORTS TOURER" Back then he got the ABS version for 1.75lakhs on road Delhi, and we both rode and enjoyed that bike, and later sold his bike as he got into multiple accidents, which was not the bikes fault, as it was his first bike and he was a bit weak as well, but usually his friends were responsible for crashing his bike And looking at the price of the new D400, it is 1 lakh more than it was in 2018, damn
Many people would disagree with me but bajaj bikes are more value for money. People complain about its reliability, but i have friends owning ns200 bs3, 220f, for more than 8 years and still giving the same performance. Reliability depends on how you maintain the bike. Bajaj needs to work again to bring this beast to a complete tourer. This is my perspective, ok, dont come to kill me 🤣 1) this bike needs at least a fuel tank of 16 litres. Because the company itself considers this a touring bike in their entire lineup. A puny 13 litre tank is not at all good for a touring bike. I think mojo 300 served the class leading tank capacity in the touring segment. And also the thunderbirds... A 13 litre tank means more and more fuel stops while riding.. 2) This bike then needs a hazard light. 😡 bro.. This is 2023 and still this so-called "tourer" is not having a hazard light which is not at all accepatble. It is one of the important features especially for a touring bike.. 3) This bike needs an improvement in its suspensions especially in their travel. We all know the road conditions of india 🤣. And while touring, we cannot choose the roads as per our desire. The roads will lead us to the destinations. So we can't predict the condition of our roads. Now dominar comes with 43 mm isd forks at front with 135 mm of travel and gas charged monoshock at the rear with 110 mm of travel. According to me, this needs a USD Fork at front with 150 mm of travel and a rear monoshock with at least 140 mm of travel. This setup can make the bike more agile in bumpy roads. ❤️ 4) This bike needs a new instrument cluster. I don't need bajaj to put a TFT screen like Duke 390, but atleast a screen of duke 250 / adventure 250 is welcome. The current meter setup is actually not property usable. The gear position + odometer, trip meters etc are placed in the second console which need to be there in main console. And its really small in size. This setup needs and improvement. Let all the hazards light be there in the second meter. 5) its my personal preference, i think this bike also needs a traction controll, an electrical one. My mind says this because i love this motorcycle. 🥰this bike comes in a stunning price tag but not utilising the complete touring capability. I went for touring with this bike from ernakulam, kerala to konark, odisha. And the main problem i faced was with fuel filling and suspension travel issues. For a touring bike, yes i admit that this is having outstanding high speed stability 🔥🔥. But if the company solves and add these feature mentioned, man this bike is going to be the ruler of the roads....
And it should shed the unnecessary weight. Atleast 10-15 kgs. Saying this based on the fact that on same engine and Duke is 25 kg lighter. Obviously some weight would be carried for the design and frame. Except that anything else is unnecessary.
Boss isme city ride mai frequently gear change to nahi karne padte hai.2015 mai mere pas thi.but city mai gear change Karte karte mai paresan ho gaya.tab maine sale kar di
Yes bro alteast traction control toh dena chaiye agar r15 mai a sakta hai toh isme dena chaiye mere pass bhi 2023 dominar hai wet surface and gravel mai halat kharab ho jati hai isko control krne Mai!
Bajaj Dominor 400 2023 model owner. It's an awesome machine. From Patna to Pune(Return journey), 6000 km ride without any issue. 30km/l mileage is awesome. Tremendous power as well torque at this price. If you ignore vibration and rear brake issue, it the best bike in this segment.
Bhai, gear position indicator can be found on the main display if you change the mode. I own the UG touring model, Dec 2021, and I keep the main display set to show gear position.
The reason why Bajaj cannot increase tank capacity is the top heavy nature of this bike. Adding 2 litres of fuel will mess up the handling at low speeds, not to mention adding to the already poor turning radius.
main batata hun kyun prefer nehi karte 1. price is similar to classic but design is not retro or timeless. 2. ppl cannot use that high power in indian city traffic so 20 bhp is enough for many, 3. it is just like a bigger pulsar and not long stroke enfield engine which is more pleasing to hear - thump. 4. in back to back medium speed traffic j series easily matches the pickup till 60-70 . 5. enfield seat cushion is more comfortable . 6. it is heavy but not coupled with same low end grunt and relaxed gearing like enfields so you need to rev hard for pickup
I Always Wanted To Buy The Dominar 400 Aurora Green But My Budget Made Me Buy The Pulsar N250. Although I Loved Pulsar N250 But 1 Day I'll Get The Hulk
Dont give up, Dominar is worth the efforts, I dreamed for D400, but I could only buy Dominar 250 second hand, i love it, i am gonna fix all its issues and make it my own
The only issue for me with Dominar is weight distribution of the bike is not good. It’s hard for me to move the bike when it’s in stop position or on uneven surfaces. Rest is totally a lovely machine. (And the issue I mentioned is totally on my side I can understand that🫡)
One more is its relatively smaller fuel tank, 13L for a tourer is poor, moreover only 10-11L is usable at max... Even it gives 25-30 mileage, tank range can't go more than 300...
Needs to improve 1. Weight 2. Needs total fresh look now 🤧 3. Speedometer is old needs led or tft 4. Fuel tank capacity should be more. Anything else add in the comment 😊😊😊😊😊
I kind of feel that I was able to hear vibrations when you were revving the bike 5:00. My old dominar (2020) did have a bit of vibrations on the handle bar. Small vibes are common for single cyl.
I bought meteor 350 and after driving 2500 km, I must say I should have brought this beast. As I was pulsar 180 boy for 13 years and thought that my age is not for sport touring bike and in that case I chose boring life, I am not able to cross 100 without max acceleration and vibration starts at 70kmph, I hate my meteor 😢 don't know how much I have to loose for exchange with this beast. Still regretting for buying meteor😢
Bud you review bikes.. I've been watching you since 2020 ... Channel has been really nice.. I have the big question.. WHEN ARE YOU GETTING A SUPERBIKE?
I own a Dominar from 2018 that came with telescopic suspension and golden alloys. While I am still very satisfied with the performance of the bike, I feel it has started to feel a little outdated in terms of features. Bajaj urgently needs to come up with a newer model of Dominar with more features to make it an attractive option among the KTM, Triumph and others. Even RE has upped its game with the new Himalayan. If they can get a parallel twin for Dominar then there is nothing like it and I feel that is a strong potential that is waiting to be tapped.
@@dave19.95 Sure, I am aware of the new power and torque outputs of the Dominar which has been there since the 2019 model but increase in power alone doesn't necessarily mean new features. There is no phone or Bluetooth connectivity, no traction control, no cornering ABS, no switchable ABS, no riding modes, etc. etc.
@@Debnathmodakalso you need to look at the price. The features you mentioned are present in bikes which are priced higher. This is opposite of what the Dominar is- amazing machine at an unbelievable price point. If you nitpick about traction control you can get an Apache 310 for the same price. Even then the Apache 310 will never be as good as the Dominar due to just a few extra riding modes.
Are you dumb or what ? What does obd 2 has to do with spark plug ? It comes with same triple plug on obd2 . From where did knew that in obd2 has single sparkplug 😂 ?
Mereko lagta hai Bajaj ne iska look mess up kar diya hai isi liye ye itni popular nahi. I hate that exhaust and the bump guard or whatever it is called underneath the bike on the front side. Lean naked look isko suit karta. Bulky karne se iska look kharab hota hai.

Boss isme city ride mai frequently gear change to nahi karne padte hai.2015 mai mere pas thi.but city mai gear change
Karte karte mai paresan ho gaya.tab maine sale kar di
Very informative bro. As a domi owner even I can relate but still I love the bike ❤
Yes bro alteast traction control toh dena chaiye agar r15 mai a sakta hai toh isme dena chaiye mere pass bhi 2023 dominar hai wet surface and gravel mai halat kharab ho jati hai isko control krne Mai!
All time favourite ❤😢
Switch to menu options you can see the gear indicator in the main meter also
How, any video available...?? Please reply...
Wish dominar 400 was also launched with full fearing sporty model like RS..
Bhai, gear position indicator can be found on the main display if you change the mode. I own the UG touring model, Dec 2021, and I keep the main display set to show gear position.
This is no doubt the best sounding motorcycle under the 400cc segments
The reason why Bajaj cannot increase tank capacity is the top heavy nature of this bike. Adding 2 litres of fuel will mess up the handling at low speeds, not to mention adding to the already poor turning radius.
Himalayan 450 seems to be a better option...simply because of the suspension set up
main batata hun kyun prefer nehi karte 1. price is similar to classic but design is not retro or timeless. 2. ppl cannot use that high power in indian city traffic so 20 bhp is enough for many, 3. it is just like a bigger pulsar and not long stroke enfield engine which is more pleasing to hear - thump. 4. in back to back medium speed traffic j series easily matches the pickup till 60-70 . 5. enfield seat cushion is more comfortable . 6. it is heavy but not coupled with same low end grunt and relaxed gearing like enfields so you need to rev hard for pickup
I Always Wanted To Buy The Dominar 400 Aurora Green
But My Budget Made Me Buy The Pulsar N250. Although I Loved Pulsar N250 But 1 Day I'll Get The Hulk
Dont give up, Dominar is worth the efforts, I dreamed for D400, but I could only buy Dominar 250 second hand, i love it, i am gonna fix all its issues and make it my own
Nicely explained ❤ But please tell me one thing, ap jis bhi bike ka review karte ho usme speedometer always 0 kyu rehta hain during riding??😅 How
They are test ride bikes, they have to sell them
I think gear position indicator can be moved to the Digital Speedometer tooo!! I have seen in my friends Dominar 400 2023
I am owing D400 from April 2017
7 years
No regrets
Happy
Love from DURGAPUR,WB | Bhaiya KTM Adv 250 OBD2 ka ek video chahiye planning hai lene ka
Just a line ' Dominar 400 is a beast '.
New Himalayan 452 now the biggest compition for Dominar 400 .
Bajaj should improve now 😊😊😊
Needs to improve
1. Weight
2. Needs total fresh look now 🤧
3. Speedometer is old needs led or tft
4. Fuel tank capacity should be more.
Anything else add in the comment 😊😊😊😊😊
1.Seats to be more cushioned
2.Stock tyres are not that good.
Because of weight and more power. It's not beginner bike.
What about the Vibrations? Does it vibrate a lot?
Can touring kit be removed from dominar 400?
First!
Bro plz review the new Yezdis
its been over a year since that gear indicator can be displayed on the main console
Let's Vote for Dominar 250
Next Review
Bud you review bikes.. I've been watching you since 2020 ... Channel has been really nice.. I have the big question.. WHEN ARE YOU GETTING A SUPERBIKE?
Brother it would be better if your bring the review of YAMAHA FZ 25 !
YOU CAN CHANGE THE CLUSTER MODE AND MOVE GEAR INDICATOR TO MAIN PANEL
Kam se kam colour options to dena chahiye 3-4 .
This dominar comes with 125,160 cc it will big blast bajaj should think of this, design is very nice
No brother. If dominar came with 125cc then the tyres will be of 100 section. And it will ruin the whole look
Bhaisahab its a power cruiser, its not meant to be a 160-200 class bike.
How's the suspension?
I own a Dominar from 2018 that came with telescopic suspension and golden alloys. While I am still very satisfied with the performance of the bike, I feel it has started to feel a little outdated in terms of features. Bajaj urgently needs to come up with a newer model of Dominar with more features to make it an attractive option among the KTM, Triumph and others. Even RE has upped its game with the new Himalayan. If they can get a parallel twin for Dominar then there is nothing like it and I feel that is a strong potential that is waiting to be tapped.
New dominar has a huge number of changes compared to your model including increased power
@@dave19.95 Sure, I am aware of the new power and torque outputs of the Dominar which has been there since the 2019 model but increase in power alone doesn't necessarily mean new features. There is no phone or Bluetooth connectivity, no traction control, no cornering ABS, no switchable ABS, no riding modes, etc. etc.
@@Debnathmodakit's a touring machine which doesn't need these features.
Proud owner of the original 2016 model here.
Because of its weight Bajaj should work on weight management
Bro don't forget to review tvs rtr 310 support Indian brands
@sonubinay I don't ask you 😂😂😂
@sonubinayno😂😂

In OBD2 variant it is Single sparkplug instead of triple sparkplug in older variants..
Are you dumb or what ? What does obd 2 has to do with spark plug ? It comes with same triple plug on obd2 . From where did knew that in obd2 has single sparkplug 😂 ?

Anytime Dominar 🔥
❤Domi ❤👑Dominator 👑 Dominar
Обязательно куплю Доминар, когда он станет D650 :)
Bro dominar 250 2023 ka review please ❤
Mereko lagta hai Bajaj ne iska look mess up kar diya hai isi liye ye itni popular nahi. I hate that exhaust and the bump guard or whatever it is called underneath the bike on the front side.
Lean naked look isko suit karta. Bulky karne se iska look kharab hota hai.
Kya dominar 400 discontinued ho sakta hai
Speed 400 review ❤❤
