When I heard this song it really hit home as my 20 year old just left for basic military training in TX for the Air Force. He is my first born and although I know this is what he wanted as I just retired from the Air Force 1 July 2017 it hurt me knowing that he wasn't coming home. Last Friday I married my best friend and played this for my mother. It took her by surprise I think, she wasn't expecting it and we don't always get along very well. Haven’t cried since my great grandma passed away(2 years now). This song has made me water up EVERY DAMN time I hear it. Last Friday I married my best friend and played this for my mother. It took her by surprise I think, she wasn't expecting it and we don't always get along very well. By the second verse she was tearing up and I looked over to see my new wife doing the same. She never had a father and nobody was there to walk her to me but she walked proud and beautiful. Her mother had to leave so she didn't get to have a parent-dance at all and I brought her over and we all danced together, they both cried and dammit it took everything I had to hold it together.

I have 2 boys oldest is 6 brown headed and youngest is 10 months blonde headed this video is perfect. Makes me tear up instantly. My boys are my life and i bust my ass 9 + hours a day 6 days a week for them. I wish i had more time with them. They grow up way too fast. Never get mad or regret a second with your kids, life is very short.
