    1 ) Shop is to broad - Make it more Niche store
    2) Lack of research
    3) Stop copying competitors
    4) Brand lacks consistency - Font style - Images - Logos - Colors
    5) Not listing to Feedback or Analytics
    6) Incomplete or Unclear Policies
    7) Giving up to Soon !
    Thank you

    Hey Brandon, I am so glad I found your channel. I also signed for the chance to join your coaching program however I never received any sort of confirmation. Would love this opportunity to learn.

    Nicely explained. Thanks.
    Here's my tip for you: The countless video cuts are made so it sounds all smooth, but the visuals are very distracting and unpleasant. Don't try to be a flwless speaker, just be yourself. Good content doesn't need to be overpolished.

    I barely have views and visits. I've made 15 sales in 3 years. Didn't care of my shop so much and felt discouraged, but I don't want to give up yet. Because 15 sales can become 100, 100 can become 1000 and so on. My real issue is with SEO. What is the best SEO tool in your opinion?
    E-rank? Marmalead?
    Everbee?

    I'm at the spot where I made the mistake of chose 2 very different categories to sell and while it would be easy to pick 1 over the other, I would still lose the money I spent to post the other items and my only review (from my husband). I know it is the right thing to do, but it is still ouch.

      It really depends case by case, I’ll need to take a look at the shop and see what the best next move is

    Good stuff. Question about the last point. What do you think about people talking about "passive income" when that's pretty much the opposite of etsy business especially at the beginning?

    Is it too broad to sell daily digital planners AND wedding planners? Should I make a separate store for the wedding planners?

    • @brandontimothy
      @brandontimothy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Start with one, then expand into the other category after. They’re relatively close enough/related to be in the same shop.

    Hey Brandon! Love your content thanks so much! I did your shop critique early this year when I opened in January. I’ve made adjustments since then. Do you offer a “shop audit” for return customers? I don’t need the basics like banner etc. Just wondering if you offer anything like that. Thanks 😊

      Great question! I should do this shop audit with him, I have the basics in place.

    mate whenever you put your hand on the table, or hit your hand to the table, we have an annoying 'bumb' sound, you might want to use a tripod for your mic, to remove it's connection to your desk. Or you can stop hitting on your table xD

    Im finding the esty fee's taking most of my sales/profit. any ways around that, or it is a case of putting more listing out or pricing them higher?

    • @brandontimothy
      @brandontimothy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes exactly! Try to create bigger bundles so you can increase your price. All the best on your Etsy seller journey.

    Brandon, is there any reason not to use PNG images instead of JPG? Or even SVG's? Just curious. Thanks.

      Yup that works too. It really depends on the type of digital file you’re delivering

    So I ran a sale and totally forgot to renew it..but got new orders..so now I don't want to put up a sale bc of the new orders i don't want angry customers ...should I wait to have their orders get delivered first ?

    • @brandontimothy
      @brandontimothy  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is totally up to you and where you are in your Etsy seller journey. But generally I think it’s okay to renew it if that was your original plan

    what would be considered high level of competition to enter a niche? 10,000? 50,000?

    • @brandontimothy
      @brandontimothy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s only relative to the amount of supply (search amount) for that same keyword. Then you can decide if it’s saturated

    Any tips for very oversaturated niches? Like for example press on nails please 💕

    • @ElysianFields108
      @ElysianFields108 ปีที่แล้ว

      This might sound weird, but this is a legit sub-niche for any kind of nail tech. If you can offer something with your press on nails that women with "club thumbs" (also called short- or stub- thumbs) can wear, and can show that you know about this (google "Brachydactyly type D" or "Megan Fox thumbs") and truly care about how your customer wants to have pretty hands regardless of this, you will have success!
      Another niche could be for transgendered women looking for press on nails and may need larger size nails.

    Where are people buying products to sell on Etsy??? I'm confused i thought Etsy was for selling handmade products...i see handbags,rugs etc being sold ????
