- Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is located at Semenggoh, 13th mile Jalan Puncak Borneo, Kuching, Sarawak. It is around 40 minutes drive from the city centre.
It is a natural reserve with many different type of flora and fauna, including many rare bird species and the famous ground for Orang Utans.
The best time to visit Semenggoh is during the morning and afternoon feeding sessions when there is a good chance of seeing semi-wild orang utan returning to the Centre for a free meal.
Feeding takes place between 9.00-10.00am and between 3.00-3.30 pm.
Although there are many Orang Utan in the Reserve, but they don't come out everytime. Since they are semi-wild, you can't force them to appear. You will be in luck if Orang Utan came out for feeding at your first visit.
During this visit we are lucky to meet the dominant (alpha) male Orang Utan - Ritchie. Ritchie is the boss of the 26 orangutans living in the reserve.

Hello! Do you need binocles to see orangutans?
Depending on luck, at times they are far, at times just in front , but keep distance from them. Oranutans are wildlife and not pets. They roam the whole forest and you might need binoculars to see if they are high in trees.
@@360TourAsia Thank you
love it
This theme park is awesome! I love tame orangutans they are so docile. If they train them to be mean then the orangutans are not docile. If they train them to friendly and loving then they are friendly and loving. For the most part orangutans have strong desire to live with people as people! But they keep their monopoly over the orangutans by never counting in places like this and over a hundred sanctuaries and thousands of zoos. That keeps them on the endangered species list so no one else can even comment about having a pet orangutan or its firing squad, kidding. Each orangutan is worth tens of millions of dollars to the sanctuaries. They make money from tourism, donations, TV shows, medical industry and free land they acquire
