People apparently died of fright much more easily in the 50's. It's a wonder they could have surprise birthday parties without needing to assure free burial services.
"The film that dares to graphically depict sometimes seeing peacocks and sometimes not seeing peacocks!" "It'll be night soon." "Oh, Jenny. Jenny..." "What? It'll be night soon!" Had to pause the video at both those parts.
Crow: 'Then, a lion jumped out and shot her, at least that's what Eric said.' Mike: 'Remember, tonight's our monkey love night.' I'm crying over here! My stomach hurts so bad from laughing too hard! ROTFL
I agree, this could've so easily been one of those episodes where the dreariness and extremely slow pace of the movie dragged the whole thing down. But the riffing by Mike and the bots is so strong and so constant that it makes it fly by like a breeze! And the short is one for the ages. The Screaming Skull isn't just one of the highlights of season 9, it's on par with the best of the entire series.
I remember watching this in the 70s in a backyard tent with a coat hanger antenna on a tiny t.v. Strung an extension cord from the house. Best times. I can still smell the mildew....... 😉
8:19-8:28 Servo: "You they weren't really expecting anybody to watch this, everybody was supposed to be necking by this point. So...Mike? *kissy noises* Mike: "Get away from me. Get out of here" Servo: Might be fun! LOL!!
“Oh, that’s where Mickey keeps his gardening things.” “Who’s Mickey?” “The gardener.” (As previously implied.) (What does Mickey do?) The Union for Creepy Urine-Stained Gardeners will hear about this!
One wonders if this turkey, "The Screaming Skull" was the inspiration for the creators of Robot Chicken to yell "SKULL" at the end of the show. Who knows.
Mikey, you were one of the saving graces of this movie along with some of the stuff Mike and the guys had when it came to Robot Rumpus, like; Servo: They hung his head!! UGH!!! This is worse than Se7en!!
As I said a year ago, Mickey is the only saving grace next to Lisa in The Screaming Skull. I feel bad for Eric smacking him around simply becaus he despises him and Mickey knows he killed Marion and might kill Lisaas wll.
This movie follows in the tradition of other MST3K movies that depict people being haunted by a human head, a la "The Thing That Wouldn't Die," and "Tormented." Well maybe somewhat, since the main character is being haunted by a skull, and not a complete human head.
"Mrs. Gumby is stacked!"
I don't know why, but this cracked me up.
that joke squared my breasts!
People apparently died of fright much more easily in the 50's. It's a wonder they could have surprise birthday parties without needing to assure free burial services.
“One of my classmates died in the kiln today MO-THER!”
"The film that dares to graphically depict sometimes seeing peacocks and sometimes not seeing peacocks!"
"It'll be night soon."
"Oh, Jenny. Jenny..."
"What? It'll be night soon!"
Had to pause the video at both those parts.
When someone in a parody of very old cheesy flicks utters a quote from Aristophanes' The Frogs, then you know you're in the right place.
" Son I'll need a can of playdoe to replace my butt" *falls over in hysterical laughter* HOLY SHIT THAT STILL KILLS ME BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA X'D
My dad used the kentucky derby joke at my great grandma's funeral. People loved it.
Sorry for you loss.
Crow: 'Then, a lion jumped out and shot her, at least that's what Eric said.'
Mike: 'Remember, tonight's our monkey love night.'
I'm crying over here! My stomach hurts so bad from laughing too hard! ROTFL
Lion: Your money or your life...
Crow's delivery on that line was hilarious 🤣
This is one of MST3K's most underrated episodes.

One of my all time favorites.
A co-worker and I used to always quote from this.
This was the first episode I ever saw of MST3K and one if my favorites.
@@ManosApple This episode is in my top 10. I watched this so many times that I can close my eyes and rest while I listen to this.
“Remember folks, if you die of boredom you do _not_ get a free coffin. Sorry.”
I remember watching this in the 70s in a backyard tent with a coat hanger antenna on a tiny t.v. Strung an extension cord from the house. Best times. I can still smell the mildew....... 😉
I'm gonna set you on "Don Knotts strength"!
8:19-8:28 Servo: "You they weren't really expecting anybody to watch this, everybody was supposed to be necking by this point. So...Mike? *kissy noises* Mike: "Get away from me. Get out of here" Servo: Might be fun! LOL!!
I near died at that part
"Alas, poor Yorick, she threw him well."
"And then a lion jumped out and shot her." gets me every time.
Nick Broderick
“Apparently it began to rain pretty hard.”
“And she got dead.”
"Someday she'll look back on this and worry about it..." 🤣
"They hung his head! This is worse than 'Seven!'"
Well that squares my breasts.
I still don’t understand why in the Gumby Universe, men walk around butt naked, but the women have to wear dresses 😂😂😂
"Get a box!" should have been included. One of the best from Crow in this episode.
That’s a line I think about a lot 😂
CAN WE HELP YOU MOVIE LADY, DO YOU NEED A PUSH OR SOMETHING?!?!?! I DIED AT THAT PART
WINDOWS 58.
That got me.😄
Oh, why did I and my husband agree to sleep in different movies?
This is such a slept on but very funny episode. The riffs and segments are top notch.
At 4:52 "Van Gogh's HOWDEE!!"
"I love you deceased wife....I mean Jenny"
Poor Mickey "he's so fine he blows my mind, poor mickey"
"Can we help you Movie Lady? Do you need a push, or something?" 8:07
"everyone knows it's slinkskull"..wow... I laughed.
It's Mickey, and he's wearing pants today! Gets me every time LOL
They missed my favorite "I found a screaming pelvis if that's helpful".
“PARTY!!” - A simple riff from Mike, but it worked!
Man, he just scooped his stool right up and threw it at her! Baaaahahahaha
I want to join "Habitat Against Humanity".
Aw, you left out "Davey and Goliath moved in next door. There goes the neighborhood."
"Just beheading rats down here, honey!" 🤣
"Thank you and goodnight"
"My name is not Eric ma'am"
so glad you included "and you forgot your baby!" it's my favorite line of the episode and it's not in the other best of vid. :)
''Thank goodness for the internal genitalia.''
Forgot two of my fave lines:
"More skulls arrive in a cab."
"He checks Mickey's villa in the south of France."
“Oh, that’s where Mickey keeps his gardening things.”
“Who’s Mickey?”
“The gardener.” (As previously implied.)
(What does Mickey do?)
The Union for Creepy Urine-Stained Gardeners will hear about this!
It's probably wrong, but I love how traumatized Tom is when he sees the robot head hanging up on the garage!
It's not just you...
"Ah The film broke and it was horrible"
Other favorites.
"Shh..." "People are trying to study!"
"Well HERE I am, how did I get here??"
The woman who comes to visit them--was she also in that MST3K short "Is this Love?"
“They put a tiny bit of movie in a box then filled the rest with foam peanuts”
I have a model of that Mercedes on a shelf in my bedroom.
I wasn't expecting a Gumby short before the Screaming Skull. What a treat!
One wonders if this turkey, "The Screaming Skull" was the inspiration for the creators of Robot Chicken to yell "SKULL" at the end of the show. Who knows.
Man, that joke at 7:56 can be a relevant reaction to certain current events.
chifferobe, now there's a word you don't hear often these days
It’s a major plot point in Oh, Brother, Where are thou?
The leading lady in this noir-wannabe, Peggy Webber, was also in "The Space Children". Enjoy a double-feature!
“I’ll just tell everyone that tried to strangle myself on the side of the coffee table.” Lmao
Mickey's a wide awake nightmare!
The Union for Dangerous Urine-Stained Gardners will hear about this!
I actually saw this film in a theatre. I wish MST3K had been around then. Anyway, as a kid it was a pretty good Saturday matinee flick.
I think the only thing missing is the skeleton hovering into the house towards Eric...vroooooom-vrOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM...
"Can I interest you in some defenestration?"
I ask that of all my house guests...
"Then a lion jumped out and shot her, that's what he said..."
When someone tries to imitate Hitchcock and fails miserably.
Also, Torgo's not pervy brother, Mickey.
They only got Webber to do it by telling her it was like “Rebecca.”
"Well I better go and rotate the hostages."
One of the best episodes. Hudson and Webber are both good here and the riffs on an otherwise bleh film are dead on.
"But remember to return the robots when you're through with them."
"Sure, mother!"
"Don't you worry your squishy little head about it!"
Love that one
The bots' reaction to the robot head on the garage is great.
Mikey, you were one of the saving graces of this movie along with some of the stuff Mike and the guys had when it came to Robot Rumpus, like;
Servo: They hung his head!! UGH!!! This is worse than Se7en!!
I'm gonna set you on don knotts strength
6:45 Peacocks!
As I said a year ago, Mickey is the only saving grace next to Lisa in The Screaming Skull. I feel bad for Eric smacking him around simply becaus he despises him and Mickey knows he killed Marion and might kill Lisaas wll.
Bryon Youngblood "Mickey makes his own ammonia to clean the greenhouse."
Who’s Lisa? The new wife (main character) is named Jenny.
@@markdaniels7174 Yeah, I goofed there.
3:39 I don't know about her, she was always being talked to the cops on Dragnet.
sings........ "if I only had a skull"..... (Wizard of Oz reference/song)
Robot rump? Aww i thought it was going to be about robot rump
"It may sound selfish" "but I want everything for me"
"If it's Universal, doesn't that make it international?" Which I believe they use in The Movie for Universal International
This movie follows in the tradition of other MST3K movies that depict people being haunted by a human head, a la "The Thing That Wouldn't Die," and "Tormented." Well maybe somewhat, since the main character is being haunted by a skull, and not a complete human head.
Fatima Jones also The Brain That Wouldn't Die, that one will make you feel dirty
Aw. I loved Gumby as a kid!
Ill give you something to scream about young skull!
The only way to die from watching this movie is to die laughing.
Gotta move this body upstate
Mickey is like Torgo-lite...
Or a Torgo in training. He gets his big thighs when he graduates.
Mickey, son of Torgo
Probably...
Everyone knows it's Slink-Skull.
“What does Mickey dooooo?”
Aw, not the part where Mickey gets slapped like a stooge?
Mickey, Torgo and Ortega's more handsome cousin
6:18 as heard on Cinemassacre's Monster Madness
06:32 “...and I want you to sit on this candle.” 😂😂😂😂😂
Gandalf is outside, scratching things on the door.
The music at the beginning of Screaming Skull is the same as the beginning of The Shining.
Aw, you missed the part where Mike acts like the skeleton is a vacuum.
One of my favorite MST3K episodes.
Mrs Gumby is stacked!
@ 4:26 ...aaaand we have gold! The wife kinda looked like Annie Lennox btw
PARTY!
A ghostly skull? Be glad it's not a pelvis. 🤣
Another MST3K movie taken down. So many are gone now.
Oh no!! That was my favey.
Love your favorite moments videos!
'it was a rainy day'
"and he shot her"
kek
'it began to rain very hard'
"and then she got ded"
also kek
"and then a lion jumped out and shot her"
Peggy Webber was an accomplished television director, in addition to having a killer body. Nice Mercedes Benz in the opening shot.
Was thinking the same thing. A bit petite maybe but wow
...That's quite creepy for you to say.
SHHHHH Uncle lady is here....
Is Mickey Targo's twin brother?
No, but they do share the same mother...🐑
Awww, where's "schplork, schplork, schplork, schplork, schplork,"? :-D
She was the Hot Mom in 'The Space Children'. haha
this is one of my favorite eps. :)
The best part was when Bobo dressed as a gorilla and everyone just stared at him.
Poor Micky.
He’s so fine, he’s so fine he blows my mind, poor Mickey.
I want to leave as your friend, Mickey, “But you’re extremely creepy and have very dangerous B.O.!”
