Yes, fully automated. These trains, the MPL16's are also very similar (technically speaking) to Paris line 14's trains (type MP14) which is a fully automated line with platform screen doors (and also line 11 although this line runs the driver GoA2 version of the MP14). They have the same sound, even though they look quite different. In Lyon, fully automated lines don't have platform screen doors, but it seems they're considering building some in the near future. Pretty much all metro networks in France are either fully or partially automated. Only Marseille metro is still driver operated but is in the process of converting both lines to full automation. The metro networks of Lille, Toulouse, and Rennes are fully automated on all lines, Lyon has currently 2 automated lines (B & D) out of 4 but if I recall correctly line A should get converted to full automation too in the future. Paris currently has 3 fully automated lines (out of 16), all 3 with platform screen doors : line 14 which was built and opened as fully automated in the late 90's and massively extended recently. And also lines 1 & 4, respectively opened in 1900 and 1908, which were converted to full automation some years ago without major closures, by working mostly at night to modify the line and install platform screen doors. 4 massive (200km), entirely new and fully automated lines are also currently being constructed in Paris. A few other historical lines are planned to be converted to full automation too. Line 13 sits at the top of the list for automation. While in Toulouse, a 3rd automated line is also currently being built.
T'assures un max, bravo!
Nice video. Great looking system. 😀👍👌
Platform is for three wagons?
Is it fully automated?
Yep this line is driverless like the line D and later the line A around 2035.
