AT -7 is like Nascar... Vehicle is designed to always turn one direction. I wonder if they made anti-AT7 with the gun on the opposite side to keep the universe in balance.
Here are the tips for AT7. If you r using gun rammer and Vents. 1. It can out trade HP 1 vs 1 against any tanks except tier 9's. So don't be afraid of face hugging they will lose first. As for against tier 9's you got enough HP to deal major damage shooting premuims if you have to, which will help the team massively to win. Trading a tier 7 for a tier 9 is worth it. 2. Your suppose to hide entire tank and new with HE nerf it is basically invincilble to even prem rounds of tier 9. No one can break through. You can sit there all you want block the passage from being flanked for your team. 3. You are suppose to either block one route camping or rush with heavies and act as support heavy. It there are dead heavies body use it. Hiding behind teammate heavies doing extra damage is extremely worth it if you see your team heavy having 1 vs 1 fight duking out. You can usually fire two rounds before heavies do due to higher dpm. My equipment set up is gun rammer, vents and binocs for the original balance build because in bush maps where you are forced to camp, the binoc helps a lot when tracked and most of times will be able to spot TD shooters for the team to knock them out so you don't always stay tracked. Rush build against heavy line would be repair, vents, and gun rammer. Turbo is not necessary even though it seems like it. The TD already has decent traverse and great enough armour to deflect long to meduim range shots. The weak spot is actually hard to hit than Tortoise if you know what your doing and drive zig zag motion.
When you put the Turbo on the tank you should have moved the Rammer over to the Fire spot would have gave you more DPM. Great Video Brother! I just worked my way up to the Badger late last week.
AT-8 is just much much better for its tier because it has almost the same armor and mobility values while being a tier lower. I actually had an awesome time with that tank.
Yes the tank is slow, and yes it can't peek a corner but not many TDs without turrets can. Instead is highlighting it's lack of speed, highlight and play to it's strengths Skil. Has good dpm, and can bounce shots like crazy at time
Exactly this! When Skill gets frustrated (always when playing slow vehicles, because he enjoys speed) he forgets to point out the good things about a vehichle. And in this case AT7 is truly not a bad vehicle for it's tier and its role. It's just not versatile and able to do many different things, but very few TDs can anyway.
he couldve done first 2 battles better honetly (couldve forced more engagements with better side of tank) but but hes right with what he says as always. from my experience this tank on these types of maps and ofcourse more city like maps is a beast and very consistently on those maps but on kampinovka and such its a bit trickier
If you are a FTP player, you can block 1 of the most open maps, premium players 2. So your odds of city maps increase. Yes it is slow, but the armor can block shots and the gun dpm and penetration is very good. WG needs to do something about reducing tank speed and dpm overall but they are one of the slowest companies to react to game issues I have ever seen.
AT7 is pretty op for lower skill players tbh, at least once they get their head round the gun constraints. The gun is epic, you can troll with the armour and even if people are hitting the weak spot you win trades with your dpm and hp anyway. Good players hate it because it can't carry even a little.

If you mean it can't do an end game 1v1 against an enemy who will track it sure, like I said it can't carry. For low skill player on a city map they will trundle up behind the heavies and finish enemies off. On an open map they will snipe and last longer than playing a "better" tank because the armour and gun both work at long range when they inevitably mess up their concealment. There is a reason it performs so well server wide, its only outperformed by a couple of op tech tree tds and limited match making premiums. Not because it's a tank that good players can get the most of but because its a tank that bad players survive long enough to do something in.
@@DoddyIshamel Worst on AT line are huge very easy penetrated weak spots. Compared to Russian tanks like SU100M1 its fast and you can play agressive too. Or German ones or Chines ones. AT is now very obsolete type of vehicle. Maybe with 35-38 speed and 200Mm on weak spot it can be better.

Only tier 7 tech tree tds which outperform AT7 across the server are su101M1 and T34-2G FT. Those are basically op and good whoever drives them, forgiving for weak players and can carry for good players. A top player might make Ikv work, average player dies in 30 seconds. SU-152 most players try and fail to derp one thing. Both German and both US tds suck. That leaves what? The French one? Challenger? The AT7 weakspot is kind of irrelevant when other tds have no armour and 30% less hp. Even if you get penned every time so would the other tds. At long range people miss the weak spot all the time anyway.

At least the gun works against higher tiers too and the armor is pretty good in it's tier but the at-15... Oh god that tank. The very fist vehicle that made me go full premium ammo out of fustration and even after that i still had a miserable experience. I never thought i would have a so bad experience after playing with at-8 and 7
because churchill GC is playable. Literally it's not even a bad tank. only two weaknesses: speed and armor but the gun is amazing. And the camo is actually pretty good aswell, u can stay behind a bush and keep firing without beeing spotted quite easily
If you have no armour you need mobility to make up for this (or a turret can help). Both to get to that bush to hide in quickly before you're spotted, and to get away if you get spotted.
Skill, I think AT-7 is a "playable" tank with a caveat: it's a bad tank for good player and gets better the lower skill level you are. It has a crazy simple battle plan: expose only your gun on defensive position, and if you have to be offensive go stupid yolo while trying to maximize your dpm. This tank doesn't rely that much on armor, this tank rely on HP and DPM in order to tank the enemies fire and outDPM them in return, and in order to do that the only skill you have to learn is just deciding initial position and deciding when to start spending your HP. For that purpose it has one of the best gun in tier 7 and people will often made a mistake in underestimating that gun -- something that you have to exploit whenever possible.

It has one amazing gun and it's the stock fun of course it's working only vs same/lower tiers and some paper tanks from higher tiers... But that moment when you are meeting somebody that is ready to take one for the team to track and farm you but you are starting to clip him every 1.09 second 10 times... It's not good ending to that hero... But most of the time yeah to slow to get in to the party and most of the time you are getting after party action from all over the place...
But Skill, you should have taken the little dakkadakka gun! ;-) Doesn't change anything about the speed etc, but at least its nice to clip some surprised enemies in the face.
"Not a single game top tier" Yeah, but that's not the tank. That's World of Tanks jacked up match maker right there. Even when I play a tier 10 tank, I'm still bottom tier 95% of the time.

At8 is good at tier 6, at15 is ok at tier 8, tortoise and badger are good in their tiers but the at7 is definitely bad at it’s tier. Idk why it feels so bad but it does
It's almost annoying to play sometimes, and you think it's shit, then you look at your average scores and it's alright for me, weird. It's ok to play a few and park it back up.
Trying to grind through this tanks is the absolute worst thing I have ever experienced in this game. I actually liked AT 8 quite a bit, but this one is just full of garbage. The worst part is that the gun has non existent vertical movement. That added to the slow speed, minimal vertical movement on the gun and no armor unless you are top tier it just makes it a painful experience. You also have to research the suspension first before you can even add equipment to the tank. I learned it hard way after using my free XP for the top gun only to realize that I can't even use it before I get 8k more XP. At least it's Christmas time and it's top of the tree line so the pain shouldn't last too long.
Anyone no why tier 7 tanks never get all tier 7 games, Ive played like a thousand plus tier 7 games in the last few months to test the theroy and NO all tier 7 games at all.

Most TDs aren't versatile in WoT, and most tier 7s will struggle against tanks of a higher tier. Yeah it's slow but the armour, gun and DPM are very good for it's tier. I know Skill prefers mobile vehicles because it's what he likes, so when he plays slow vehicles he gets frustrated and rates them poorly, but it definitely is not bad.
I do like the gun... but that's about it. Even a lot of the tier 6 tanks have a 50% chance to go through your upper hull armor (~130mm effective) or the giant cupola (~155mm effective) with regular ammo. Anyway... it's day 12 of asking for a Jagdpanzer IV video.
Or if the first tank you run into is a tryhard in his Somua SM spamming gold because reasons. I swear, some people who play this game - if they were talented college/university athletes, they would take steroids to play an exhibition game with high school and middle school students of average skill.
I don't like that you test some tanks with crews that don't even have 1 skill. Come on, at least give them a fair shot to show their full potential. Minimum 3 skills and you'll have a much better tank. Still bad, but not this bad.

oh skill.. this was hard to watch. Is it Monday? lol. I hated this tank, solely based on its speed. I now have a Tortoise and do not play it. This whole line are assault tanks, however, this one's armor fails more often than not.
