RJC Plant Hire are fully charged with JCB's new all-electric 525 60E telehandler

Peter Haddock starts 2022 with a fully charged interview from a site visit with RJC Plant Hire, where he met Depot Manager Kai Freeman to talk about how its two JCB 525-60E's have been performing.
The business was one of the first in the UK to take delivery of the new electric telehandler from dealer Watling JCB, using finance from JCB Finance.
Powered by a 24kWh battery, the machine has a lift capacity of 2,500kg and a maximum lift height of 6 metres. These features make it ideal for numerous applications on site, particularly for tasks requiring zero emissions at the point of use.
It's what made the machine so appealing to RJC Plant Hire MD Peter Mullett, who was quick to order two units, complete with JCB fast chargers, as soon as the machine was available in 2021.
In this interview, Kai talks about the machines and the positive response from customers who have already taken out long term hirers for the equipment. It really is a great insight from an early adopter regarding the benefits of adding alternative fuel products to a fleet.
Following the visit, Peter also talked to Peter Mullet for an article in this month's edition of Earthmovers Magazine.
