- We spend our final day on the river Thames and join the Kennet & Avon Canal at Reading.
To our surprise there is traffic lights on the canal. We get washed about in a fierce lock, get to operate electrical swing bridges and bump into Jono and Molly from Journey with Jono.

Your vlogs are so good at giving the rest of us the opportunity to share your new lifestyle, one that many of us can only dream of , a real mix of entertainment and information in a modest and down to earth way. Debbs makes me laugh out loud every episode , what an absolute star she is and I could easily see myself spending an evening with Mark talking shit about craft beers (a top man) So there you have it guys, what you are doing is great, its great to watch and I thank you for spending so much time and effort in sharing your experiences with us landlubbers - carry on cruising and hopefully you will at some point visit Wales and the Llangollen canal where we have some ryte nyce pynts

On our very first canal trip we got stuck at the Theale swing bridge. We had to have the boat back in the morning but we weren’t going anywhere. Everyone was so nice. I think there was about 10 boats stuck either side. Our side had two in a lock. We had a bet on what time the crt would be out to fix it, 11am the next day. We loved every minute of it. That was 5 years ago. We are now looking to buy a boat and I have boat envy over your boar. Your boat has everything I am looking for in my boat. Never mind. I will keep looking, unless you fancy selling your ? 😉 👍

Great video... We are enjoying your travels. And I have to say, I enjoy the beer reviews. Out here in Japan, it is usually ice cold lager - many of them good in fairness,,,but I miss a good pint of ale... My Mrs,,,bless her heart can sometimes get me Hobgoblin from a big offie near her parents house, which is a treat!! She got me 3 last weekend for the rugby world cup games!! Oh how we remember those fierce locks at the start of the K&A! The lifeboats keep coming. Nothing comes close to a Ghost Ship. We found a pub near Stone with it on tap but was disappointing. Good to see Jono and Molly. Happy cruising xx

Great video. There was some lovely architecture along the canal this week, very quaint. I love it when the husband prefers to video his wife tottering down the gang plank rather than giving her a hand! My husband would probably have been at the bar!!

Great vlog, if you get a chance to find Coopers Pale or Sparkling Ale try some. It's South Australian. I had some in 2012 when we were back on Holiday, but it has to be at most 5 degrees. Fantastic on a hot day. Keep cousin.

Hullo from Denver, Colorado. So Jono's a Cheeky Sod, is he? Guess that I'd better not say so - at least until I've actually shared a lock with him. I've really enjoyed his fit-out videos because he gives me technical reasons for his choices, inviting me to weigh the pros and cons with him . I enjoy your videos because they give clear evidence that, not only is the search for a 'Ryte Nyce Pynt' international and never ending, but also it's possible for life partners to have a great time on a narrowboat - something I'm hoping to get my wife to consider. (Might be dreaming the impossible dream there.) If I ever manage to cruise the canals, I hope I meet you at my first lock. Thank you for sharing your experience and perspective.

Good V-log as always my friends and hope to see you soon on the water ways , not got a narrow boat as yet but i'm looking in between watching and dreaming of the perfect lifestyle i'm after. keep living your dream. and do your ever do any pike fishing while on your narrow boat? P.S. when i get a narrow boat it will be a project one as i couldn't afford one to the spec you have, but you have to start somewhere late in life for me plus ill be living on it on my own so only looking for a 35' or 45' one i think that would be plenty of roon for me and my little jack russell when i get her but boat first....

Hi great video, really enjoy your relaxed approach you both come across well on camera. I’m taking my wife two teenagers and our cocker spaniel for a weeks cruise in July. We pick up the NB at Aldermaston and plan to do get as far as Hungerford then return, so this was of particular interest. Have subscribed and will be looking out for your other video’s.

Timbrell's Yard on St. Margaret's st. : nice restoration, 4 beers. food highly recommended
All have beer gardens. the first a last do both lunch & dinners.

We continuously cruise, we plan to do the whole of the network, the longest you can stay at one mooring depends on the mooring itself, 24H -48H -7day -14day C&RT rules. We done Crick boat show last year, so gonna give it a miss this year, but its on the cards for next year👍
