For Dan: Hey, Dan. First of all: You do a wonderful job with cutting the videos. If Stephen hadn´t told us that he gave the job to you, I wouldn´t have noticed any difference. I have two questions: How much time does the cutting job take? And does Stephen tell you how exactly he wants the videos to be cut or can you put in your own creativity? Best regards from Germany!
In my experience as a person who has learned a lot about barbecue and had lived for several years in Memphis, one of the US bbq capitals, typically speaking barbecuing refers to the process of smoking meats, usually ribs, briskets, pulled pork among others, with the two main variations being wet vs dry bbq, or in other words sauce or no sauce. Texas is the dry bbq capital of the US. A lot of people there actually look down on people who use bbq sauce. They usually use a very thick layer of black pepper dry rub on their meats, but are most famous for their brisket. This also generally causes Texas to finish last in most national bbq taste tests, as most places, and as a result most people, in the US prefer wet bbq. Kansas City is another major place for bbq in the US. It's a wet bbq city, and its sauces are usually based on tomato paste and molasses, resulting in a rich, sweet, slightly tangy sauce, sometimes to it's own detriment as it can overpower the taste of the meat. They'll throw pretty much any piece of meat on the smoker there. North Carolina is also a wet bbq region, and as you mentioned has a sauce that uses a vinegar base. It's a much more tangy, much thinner sauce. They specialize in smoking the whole hog. As for Memphis, it embraces both wet and dry bbq, but it's very pork centric. Pork ribs, pulled pork, you get the idea. Usually a paprika base is used for the dry rub. Its sauce combines vinegar and tomato bases, making it a little thinner than the KC style. Memphis usually comes in 1st in most national bbq taste tests(Memphis pride).
Question for Dan: How is it being unchained from the editing bay that Stephen keeps you at for most of your waking hours? (Joking, obviously.) More seriously, what has been the biggest surprise or thing you didn't expect with taking over a large portion of the editing for StephenPlays? Is there anything that you'd like to do differently in the future? And have you disagreed with Stephen on anything relating to the editing? Love the work you all do, and I hope you're all doing well.
Stephen the fact you have achieved as much as you have in your life is a testament to your character when you consider all the health problems you have . Your heart bad memory total lack of sense of direction. Lol you are an inspiration to a lot of people . Please" keep doing you " .
I totally remember you guys answering the question regarding Mal's students knowing about TH-cam and all that. I just cannot place my finger on where it would be! #MandelaEffect
They answered it during an extra life stream. Which would also explain why it wasn't on the question list. However I don't remember which extra life stream it was
For Dan/Lindsey: Are you two housemates? For Lindsey: What is your occupation, or if you're between work, what do you hope of getting into, job-wise? For Dan: Aside from being Stephen's Editor, do you take on other editorial jobs? (P.S You're an awesome editor)
I am complete sh*t at lip-reading. Here's my take: So what happened is, whenever Hayley came for the first time, she parked over/opposite [pointing to imaginary spot] ... ... And then she was like, "I don't know what to do", and that's when... [hand gestures]... this biiig explosion, and ... ...[counting on fingers] ... all over the TV. [More counting] Watermelon, watermelon, watermelon. And before we knew it... ... And that's whenever she came over and ... [walking and stomping motions] ... and it just explodes, and all this stuff happens... And by the time we were all said and done, she said, that's the perfect name, Kenneth.
Completely relate to the online friends thing. Being raised in that same period where it was viewed as a really bizarre thing, my family grew to accept it more. Short of one friend I've known my whole life, basically all of my really good friends are people I've met online.
In Canada, pulled pork usually comes with coleslaw. We don't really have BBQ styles... unless you count Korean BBQ which is different from North American style. As for sudden hair changes like yours, my aunt's hair used to be rail straight and then around 13 years older her hair got super curly. Nature is strange as you said. That Kenneth question hahaha. I think Hayley explained why on a stream before but I forgot haha.
I just took a film class that was similar to Stephen's 'History of Film' class literally watched movies and analyzed them. It was my favorite class to date.
Are you Guys planing to do more 4-Player Co-op LPs with other People like Josh & Brooke, Steph & Steve And Chugga & Masae in the Future for Stephen+Friends
Do any of you still play Minecraft in its most recent patches, and if so, have you ever considered returning to it for a revised Let's Play since there is so much different now, and plus servers are more convenient now, to the point where you could have others (Alex, Dan, etc.) participating? Also P.S. Dan you are my spirit animal
For Dan and Lindsay: How do you feel about being on the vlog now compared to how you felt when you were first on vlogs. And Dan did you ever think Stephen's college vlog would get this far?
Dang mine wasn't answered, so I'll ask it again. My question is if you could make a full course meal out of the food you've eaten in your lives (either food you've made or had in restaurants) what would each of you have in your respective meals? Dan and Lindsey this goes for you too. If you don't know a full course meal consists of 8 items: Hors-D'oeuvre (appetizer), Soup, Fish Dish, Meat Dish, Main Dish, Salad, Dessert, Drink.
Stephen you mentioned a lot of the southern BBQ types but have you ever had Kansas City BBQ? It is my personal favorite BBQ style and sauce though I may be biased since I'm from the Mid-West.
Ella's Deli is actually closing it's location in Madison. Pretty unfortunate. It was a pretty cool place to go. I'm sure that there are other locations in Wisconsin.
For Lindsey: How did you get into scrapbooking? Can we se some of your works? And can you give us some insight on your creation process :0? Edit: ohhH!! thank you so much for answering my question, guys! Can't wait to see those Japan Vlogs in the future!
Stephen... You have recorded with TRG if you could record with them what game would you like to play? Mallory & Lindsey & Dan... if you could record a multiplayer game with other similar to TRG what you you pick
1:00 oh hey dat me! XD Ok so, I can only assume this but I don’t know for sure if this is true. All you art major people would have had to taken some sort of “art foundation” course or some 1 year program of sorts that would typically focus on building and making your portfolio before taking major’s in other programs right? What was the one portfolio ready art piece that you were the most proud of during that time?
For all but more so Dan and Lindsay: What got you into gaming, whether it is casually or for something else, or when did you start playing video games?
I've noticed your days of pizza are mostly behind you. Do enjoy eating so healthy or do you miss all the not necessarily healthy dishes you used to make?
I feel the same with my memory. I'm 19yrs old and my memory only spans back like 5 years. I have bits and pieces of things before high school, but some of those are fragmented. Some memories feel like 'fake' memories, where people tell me stories about myself and my brain doesn't know if I actually remember or if I'm making it up. *shrug*
I'm turning 21 in a couple months. The stress I've put myself under has deteriorated my memory and my speech patterns. I couldn't tell you everything I've done yesterday if a life depended on it. I'm finally relieving myself of seven long years of stress now and actually am remembering little bits from when I was a kid. Actually feeling what I felt then, too.
My hair did the same thing when I was 12! I was blonde and then over a summer it turned brown. I'm a girl and I had long hair, so my my made me cut the blonde ends off.
What's the pledge of allegiance? :O By the way, my question is about multi-culturalism (I hope I can explain myself well enough): most of your fans surely are from the US, but you have fans from other areas of the world (like myself, I'm from Italy). Do this inspire you guys to look up information on the different lifestyles of these countries, and maybe think about travelling there? For example, it seems to me that the school system in the US is quite different from the one I'm used to, so sometimes it's hard for me to follow your stories about your college years :P For Dan and Lindsey: you guys are so funny amazing, I love you
Dan and Lindsey: Do you have a favorite video game of all time? We aren't all crazy you HAVE answered that question about "if your students found you on youtube" before i swear! i'm gonna try to find it... Also, nice! First question I've asked, answered! :D
What are some of your memories from WI? What were your first impressions of Myrtle Beach coming from WI? What are some of the biggest differences between there and your hometown?
Hey Stephen & Mal (and Lindsey & Dan!!) I don't think this has been asked recently (correct me if I'm wrong), but, was there a particular moment in time (that you remember) that it occurred to you that you could feasibly make a living creating content for youtube? -Matt from Wisconsin
That’s really interesting that your hair texture changed Stephen from straight to wavy. I was always perplexed why you seemed to have straight hair as a kid.
Anyone else find it funny that people ask why the same people who call Mario, Maro. and Barry, Larry, Pesch, and Frog. Don't always call things or people by their proper name? Lol
Q: Dan, have you ever played Earthbound? If so, what did you think? If not, do you plan on playing it at anytime? (P.S. Your dad in the second blonde haired Stephen picture low-key looks like George from Seinfeld...)
I'm not Dan, but I know he recently streamed Earthbound blind on Twitch. It looks like the first part is up on his TH-cam channel. ^_^ (I hope nobody minds me answering, I just want to help out!)
Actually, I didn't expect you'd scale back that much of your work. I thought you'd continue doing StephenPlays, except you'd put out less content, that you can do without much stress. :D
damn that's a long train, crazy coincidence that it completely silenced your story and you didn't notice in post
I think they did that for a joke and to keep it as a mystery still.
can't tell if you're sarcastic or not
Stephen: What's a regular class? I went to art school.
I couldn't stop laughing!
hahahahaha there is a train memorable moment if they were from q&a's
Can't wait for Memorable Moments
For Dan: Hey, Dan. First of all: You do a wonderful job with cutting the videos. If Stephen hadn´t told us that he gave the job to you, I wouldn´t have noticed any difference. You mean editing?
ThePikachufan1 Yes. Sorry, not a native speaker :)
no worries
Oh gosh, when Mal just randomly lifts Sagan into shot at 6:40 XD He looks so confused, bless him

Alright, who can read lips? This Kenneth question shall not be silenced.
It's been two years... No one can read lips *cries*
All I can interpret is “a big explosion” “watermelon, watermelon, watermelon” and “and all this stuff happened”
So yeah
I totally remember you guys answering the question regarding Mal's students knowing about TH-cam and all that. I just cannot place my finger on where it would be! #MandelaEffect
They answered it during an extra life stream. Which would also explain why it wasn't on the question list. However I don't remember which extra life stream it was
starwarskid798 Yeah that's what I was thinking. They've definitely answered it before just not on a Q&A proper.
Hey Dan, how’s your stop sign? Did you fill it up more after college?
ImpulsiveInferno YAS!
Dan, what do you miss most about Florida?
For Dan/Lindsey: Are you two housemates?
For Lindsey: What is your occupation, or if you're between work, what do you hope of getting into, job-wise?
For Dan: Aside from being Stephen's Editor, do you take on other editorial jobs? (P.S You're an awesome editor)
For everyone: talk about your friendships colliding together, stories and how things might have changed
I wanna know what’s the WORST thing y’all have ever eaten. Was it in a restaurant? Recipe gone bad? Something a loved one made? Tell me. Please.
Lindsey, what do you miss most about wisconsin?
We all know Mal has at least one nickname, but what are some nicknames you've all had?
Question for Dan: When do you plan to go back making more Episodes of The Art School?
35:29 That was so incredibly cute. Also, the look Stephen gave the camera is everything.
Oh ha ha very funny Stephen
anyone good at lip reading for the last question? lol I saw the word explosion but that was it lol
BL00PZ64 Same I just saw big explosion. I imagine the rest was the same thing.
Seems like he was just saying "watermelon" for part of it haha
I am complete sh*t at lip-reading. Here's my take:
So what happened is, whenever Hayley came for the first time, she parked over/opposite [pointing to imaginary spot] ... ... And then she was like, "I don't know what to do", and that's when... That Kenneth question hahaha. I think Hayley explained why on a stream before but I forgot haha.
For Everyone that it applies to: Did you every think you would work from home? How do you manage your own schedules and life/work balance?
I just took a film class that was similar to Stephen's 'History of Film' class literally watched movies and analyzed them. It was my favorite class to date.
Are you Guys planing to do more 4-Player Co-op LPs with other People like Josh & Brooke, Steph & Steve And Chugga & Masae in the Future for Stephen+Friends
Hey hey, Beef brisket, ribs, and even chicken can be BBQed, long cook times and smoke are what make it BBQed.
My husband and I are planning to go to the Japanese Olympics and we are already planning this trip so lots of planning.
For Dan and Lindsay: How do you feel about being on the vlog now compared to how you felt when you were first on vlogs. And Dan did you ever think Stephen's college vlog would get this far?

At the end Mal look's like she's having a lot of fun watching Stephen make a story up
I also remember that question being asked before. I'm guessing it was probably during Mail because those questions don't technically get recorded.
Question for the four of y’all: are you guys willing to do some kind of four player let’s play? I definitely would like to see that
Stephen you mentioned a lot of the southern BBQ types but have you ever had Kansas City BBQ? It is my personal favorite BBQ style and sauce though I may be biased since I'm from the Mid-West.
Thank goodness I can read lips. Had to watch the part with the train 40 times but the story was well worth that.
Dan and Lindsay, specificly Lindsay. What are your jobs? We know a bit about Dan's but never seen much about Lindsay's.
Ella's Deli is actually closing it's location in Madison. Pretty unfortunate. It was a pretty cool place to go. I'm sure that there are other locations in Wisconsin.
NOOOOOOOOOOO :'( (I don't think there's other locations)
For Lindsey: How did you get into scrapbooking? Can we se some of your works? And can you give us some insight on your creation process :0?
Edit: ohhH!! thank you so much for answering my question, guys! Can't wait to see those Japan Vlogs in the future!
How much did all of you party in college?
Stephen... You have recorded with TRG if you could record with them what game would you like to play?
Mallory & Lindsey & Dan... if you could record a multiplayer game with other similar to TRG what you you pick
To Dan and Lindsey: Since moving to Myrtle Beach, what kind of work have you've been working in?
1:00 oh hey dat me! XD
Ok so, I can only assume this but I don’t know for sure if this is true. Yes!! I scrolled down so I could say congrats for being featured in the vid! It's seriously good
Oh, thank you! Glad you like the animation! :D (the flipping part was probably the hardest part)
Lindsey, what did you go to college for? What are you doing now?
Have you guys ever decide to do a LP together? If so what LP would you do?
How do you decide when and what to do for your sporadic, ludicrous and amazing random vlogs, such as "Pizza's Great! Pizza's Awesome" from 2016?
Lindsey, do you have any plans on starting a youtube channel, and if so what would you do on it?
Dan: Will you make any additional episodes of your animated series The Art School? (or perhaps a sequel, The Editing Desk?)
For Lindsey and Dan: What is the best thing about Myrtle Beach? Other then weather and living closer to Mal and Stephen.
For all but more so Dan and Lindsay: What got you into gaming, whether it is casually or for something else, or when did you start playing video games?
To Dan: Can you describe what it's like editing Stephen's videos? How do you decide when to add goofs and when not to?
For DanTheMontageMan: I am curious, why do you use swedish flags in GTA Online?
Asking as a swede.
Also, great job on all the videos.
GENIUS IDEA
STEPHEN STREAMS
I've noticed your days of pizza are mostly behind you. Do enjoy eating so healthy or do you miss all the not necessarily healthy dishes you used to make?
Dan, can you talk about your experiences working with Stephen on Stephenplays?
Cole slaw is a NC thing, classic NC burgers have cole slaw in them.
*shrug*
TsunamiKitten im 21 and my parents had a rough sspli when I was 10ish everything before high school for me is just blank
TsunamiKitten are you sure your not a synth ?
Anton Fowler oh god.. WHAT IF I AM!? I need to investigate this..
With Alex and Hayley doing a LP with you. Would Dan and you(Stephen) ever consider a LP together?
Lindsey, as a fellow wisconsinite, what is your favorite Culver's item and favorite FoD
For Dan and Lindsey has anyone ever came up to you in public knowing who you are from StephenVlog?
For Dan: Since you are working for Stephen does that there will be no more episodes of The Art School??
My hair did the same thing when I was 12! I was blonde and then over a summer it turned brown. I'm a girl and I had long hair, so my my made me cut the blonde ends off.
To dan: now that you work in stephen corp, will you make a new art school episode? If so, will mal be in episode 6?
I use barbeque to refer to the sauce and grilling for the cooking style
Would you ever consider playing a multiplayer game like overwatch?
The train horn's doppler effect went through before you even hear the prime mover.
How does that work? What? How? Why?
Dan, have you ever requested to edit any lets play? If not how do you and Stephen decide what you edit?
How are you guys with scraps of food? Because I have to make sure my bowl is as clear of food as possible before I put it away
Dan, how much of your italian heritage do you enjoy?
What's the pledge of allegiance? :O
By the way, my question is about multi-culturalism (I hope I can explain myself well enough): most of your fans surely are from the US, but you have fans from other areas of the world (like myself, I'm from Italy). For Dan and Lindsey: you guys are so funny amazing, I love you
To the four of you, if you were an animal, what would you be, and why?
P.S. I love you Dan.
Question for all: Favorite place that you've visited and why?
For lindsey : What do you do as a job? /what did you study in University? :)
Dan and Lindsey: Do you have a favorite video game of all time?
We aren't all crazy you HAVE answered that question about "if your students found you on youtube" before i swear! i'm gonna try to find it...
Also, nice! First question I've asked, answered! :D
For everyone: What is your favorite stephen and friends series? (GTA online, joking hazard, etc.)
What are some of your memories from WI? What were your first impressions of Myrtle Beach coming from WI? What are some of the biggest differences between there and your hometown?
Hey, question for both Lindsay and Dan, does your parents watch the vlog?
My question is for Dan and Lindsey: Who’s your favorite character on the show?
What made y’all decided to move to Myrtle Beach or in Stephen and Mal’s case back to Myrtle Beach?
This is a question for both Dan and Lindsey: How has your life changed since moving to South Carolina and also what are some of the pros and cons?
Hey Stephen & Mal (and Lindsey & Dan!!) I don't think this has been asked recently (correct me if I'm wrong), but, was there a particular moment in time (that you remember) that it occurred to you that you could feasibly make a living creating content for youtube?
-Matt from Wisconsin
That’s really interesting that your hair texture changed Stephen from straight to wavy. I was always perplexed why you seemed to have straight hair as a kid.
for dan and Lindsey what do you miss from home and things you love in Myrtle beach?
When you said John k I thought you were talking about Ren and Stimpy for a split second
Anyone else find it funny that people ask why the same people who call Mario, Maro. and Barry, Larry, Pesch, and Frog. Don't always call things or people by their proper name? Lol
what's your favorite Memorable Moment and what's your favourite series thus far
And since it's been well over a year since I asked Stephen and Mal this, Dan and Lindsey - do you like math?
Dan, how is it like, being an editor for Stephen?
Can you all try and geuss what each other's favorite movie?
Dan And Stephen, how come you guys are so gosh darn Awsome? Mal and Lindsey, how come you gals are so gosh darn cute?
Q: Dan, have you ever played Earthbound? If so, what did you think? If not, do you plan on playing it at anytime?
(P.S. Your dad in the second blonde haired Stephen picture low-key looks like George from Seinfeld...)
I'm not Dan, but I know he recently streamed Earthbound blind on Twitch. It looks like the first part is up on his TH-cam channel. ^_^ (I hope nobody minds me answering, I just want to help out!)
As in I'm pretty sure he just finished it in the past week so he could probably give thoughts on it at this point.
Dan and Lindsay what do you like about Myrtle Beach, what do you not like?
The pig on served on a grill after being cooked on a stick reminds me of "lechon" from both Chinese and Filipino culture.
For Dan: Are there going to be any more episodes of the Art School?
Mallory & Lindsey ..., how long have you known each other and how did you meet
Are the Tenda race objectively better than the Mr. Saturn race?
Dan, what is your favorite and least favorite part of editing for Stephen?
Mal would you ever consider going back to teach
I thought i was the only one that always mixes up philosophy and psychology!
Actually, I didn't expect you'd scale back that much of your work. I thought you'd continue doing StephenPlays, except you'd put out less content, that you can do without much stress. :D
