Overall, run the numbers mga kabayan. Most of the mistakes are financial na napag usapan dito sa video. To avoid them, run the numbers instead pairalin yung gusto. Here or sa pilipinas, you cannot just have whatever you want ng ganun nalang. Wag masisilaw, wag lang bastang sunod sa trend or dahil yung kasabayan nating dumating may ganto or ganyan na. We have to be wise where we put our money since hindi biro ang mag work. Di nag ffall ang cad from the maple tree guys 😂. And when I say wise, di naman din ibig sabihin wag ienjoy ang sarili. Live within your means. Love you all!

SUBRANG WEAK ANG EMOTIONAL CONTROL NG KARAMIHANG PILIPINO - YONG SINASABING “PARANG NAKATIKIM NG KUNG ANO”. IILAN ANG KAYANG ICONTROL ANG TEMTASYON OR EMOTION! KAYA NGANGA! OK LANG KUNG KAYA EH, AKO MARAMI AKONG UTANG PERO KAYANG BAYARAN AT YONG UTANG NA YUN… INVESTMENT KASI NO CHOICE WALA AKONG MILYON UP FRONT! Bought a house hindi ko kayang i-cash ang bahay lol kaya may mortgage pero need maging smart, kaya i rent to international student. Sa location ng pagbili ng bahay was planned to para makapagpa-rent at hindi mabigat ang gastos.
Credit card is for emergency and to build your credit score (proof mo na ikaw ay good payer para in case bumili ka ng bahay or sasakyan na hindi kayang i-cash, kailangan talaga proof na credit score.
Good job kabayan for explaining all these! Keep it up!

Kabayan, Thank You for the real talk for our Kababayans. We who have really experienced life in North America, know the truth. Too many vloggers, put emphasis on how this person succeeded and vlog about them, without letting those people tell the mistakes, the negatives that happened in their lives. Especially those vloggers who are practically new in Canada. Canada is not a Bed of Roses(without thorns). What you do is a great service to people. You are telling the truth and this sets many people free, because they get to prevent such mistakes from happening to them. Obviously, they have their free will, if they still do such things, well…Anyway, you are also like Kuya Puto on his channel(Pinoy who has been in Canada for at least several decades). He tells the truth about Canada, the good, the bad, the ugly, and does not hold back his punches. God Bless You.

Best advise for all the people that come here in canada, on top of everything she explained is to make sure all the relatives know na di pa kayo settled to help them for at least 8 years. Mahirap tumulong kung kayo din e naghihirap. Also have a mindset to treat your credit card as Cash on Hand. if there is no cash do not use it.

Bakit laging issue yung sustento sa pamilya sa Pilipinas tapos may panunumbat? riba you control your finances? Diba may right naman kayo na tumanggi? Diba may option naman kayo to SET YOUR LIMITATIONS AND BOUNDARIES na parang
" hanggang dito lang ang kaya ko itulong. Period!"
Lagi ko kasi ito naririnig sa OFWs. and I always wonder why. Kasi nagsusustento namn ako pero i make sure im in full control.

What can i say?? Saang lupalop ng mundo man tayo dalhin ng kapalaran always stick to our main goal na mapaayos ang situation natin sa buhay, open minds and eyes to the real world around us, learn the trade, save money and let it multiply/grow, be healthy don't be materialistic, help family back home (not too much that you end up borrowing money that you can't afford to pay) invest in something that appreciates in value overtime. While doing all these, treat people around you especially kabayans with respect, humility and care. ❤

Kelangan talaga proper budgeting. At saka don’t buy unnecessary things. Ang mentality ko is being a minimalist. Like dalawa lang ang paa ko so I don’t need 10 pairs of shoes. Isa lang katawan ko so I don’t need tons of clothes. Huwag maging hoarder. Ang importante yung basic needs provided for.

Ngeks!
Pang-show? Hehe sabi kasi ng tatay namin, yong pa-show off, yun actually walang pera.

Tas mag apply kayo dun. Kasi Ang RRSP ay isang additional savings yun for the future.
    2. Maximise your TFSA, pag di nyo maintindihan go to your bank ask about it. Nasa website namn yun eh. Additional personal savings din in case of emergency.
    3. True yun mag ipon kayo kahit 2k sa account nyo for emergency sa Pinas.
    4. Live within your means... ilang beses na sinasabi ito sa karamihan sa mga kabayan dito sa Canada matagal man or baguhan. Mahirap kasi mayabang bang. Utang ang bagsak pag di nagtipid.
    5. Car : aside from the car payment never forget the insurance too. Plus gas thus if you have access to public transpo. Laking tipid po.

I am not from Canada, pero I think halos pareho ang cost of living sa US and Canada. Like you, we used credit card din dati, but I realized that using plastic requires a lot of discipline. Ngayon, we pay everything in cash and I told my kids as well not to use a card, if they have to use it, that means they can’t afford it, then save muna sila. Sa car naman, mas maganda bumili ng slightly used vehicle and pay it within 3 years or 5 pag mahirap talaga ang 3 years. Put your money where it will grow in value, like a house. To sum it up, mas maganda cguro yung mindset na live within your means para huwag ma stress.

I think nasa proper mindset sa pag gamit ng credit card, when you kaskas make sure meron kang pambayad next month ng whole price nun not installment. Madami kasing perks when you use credit card. Kaskas wisely lang talaga.

The goal is, live below your means. Work until you get your PR and become a dual citizen.
Then retire back in the Philippines. When you're a dual citizen, in case na magka gulo man like gyera sa China or PH ecomy finally collapse dahil OFW at BPO's lang naman ang bumubuhat dyan, hindi rin self-sufficient ang bansa, panay imports kahit bigas, at least umabot na dun makakaalis kayo at makabalik sa Canada.

Credit Card could help you in terms of Cash Back and to increase your Credit Score. I used my Credit Card for my family's Dental and Medical transactions, then reimbursed that amount using my Insurance. So basically, we got the services for free PLUS cash back for using my Credit Card. Bottom line, it all depends on the way you look at things. Living in Ontario, Canada.

kasi dun mahal ang cost of living tapoa dun mag start kami into scratch then mag rent pa ng hauz
at least dito may own flat kami, stable sa work at ok naman sahod nya
kaya i i realize na tama sya kasi kahit may inflation at recession we survive
kasi we live a simple life, minimalist, di kami both maluho
aq on & off ang work so pag may work aq nag share aq sa expenses namin sa bahay then nagpapadala minsan sa family q sa pinas
di kami bumibili ng hnd needed ,inuuna namin ung needs kesa wants talaga
nowadays maigi talaga maging budgetwise kahit san ka pa naka base lalo pa inflation talaga mostly ngayon

It's just an example to simplify the explanation. Pero the bigger your credit limit, the bigger your exposure to more and more utang. Only a few can discipline themselves para less than 30% lang talaga ang magamit.

Diba you control your finances? Diba may right naman kayo na tumanggi? Diba may option naman kayo to SET YOUR LIMITATIONS AND BOUNDARIES na parang
" hanggang dito lang ang kaya ko itulong. Period!"
Lagi ko kasi ito naririnig sa OFWs. and I always wonder why. Kasi nagsusustento namn ako pero i make sure im in full control.

Everyone kasi has different levels of "boundary setting", some have barely any boundaries set. I believe because we grew up with "dapat tumulong" mindset conditioned by our society. So most OFWs tend to give even though sometimes it already feels like they're only being "loved" because of their money. Good for you for being in control. Most kababayans are overpowered by the shame and guilt they feel rooted in our cultural mindset and history of trauma.
