I've been using a full frame camera for personal and commercial photography for a number of years now, but that's come to an end. I'm moving to crop sensors full-time for all of my photography, here's why...
Aside from the weight and constantly getting stopped by security wherever I go, the image quality difference for the things I shoot is completely manageable.

Good video. As for your joke about losing a leg to save weight, I actually did lose my right leg a couple of years ago, and even with a prosthesis, it really does limit your photography, so I don't recommend it, lol. But on to the cameras, I've got a Nikon D700 full-frame, a D7200 APS-C crop sensor camera, and a couple of Olympus OM-D Micro 4/3's cameras. None are the latest models, but I reached the point with them that the image quality on all of them is more than good enough for my purposes and I enjoy them all.
I keep the D700 because it produces beautiful pictures without me having to jerk them around in post processing. It is only a 12mp camera so it plays well with lots of old Nikon glass I own, and the camera itself feels great in the hand and is a joy to shoot. But unless I'm going out on a planned basis to shoot a particular scene, it gets left at home these days because I'm an old fart and it is a lot to carry around.
The D7200 is my most competent "do it all" camera, which I use mostly for work projects. It is far more technically capable than I need it to be, but is great to have and I got it cheap. But to be honest, I get no joy while using it. When I retire soon, I'll probably sell it, not because it isn't a fine camera, but just because I won't need its features anymore.
The Olympus OM-D's I have are by far the most fun for me, and I grab one whenever I'm going just about anywhere. They are wonderfully small and light, and I find myself getting shots with them that I otherwise would have missed because I would have left my camera behind if it were much bigger. Also, as you mentioned, nobody is intimidated by or even notices my cute little retro style camera. I know there are even smaller cameras out there, but I never got the hang of shooting a camera you don't bring up to your eye.
For my purposes, I stopped worrying about sensor size back in 2012.

Also, the heat in some of these comments is hilarious, a few things:
1. Yes I could do some more bench presses to get stronger and carry more weight, maybe I will. Still, even if I do, I'll get up a mountain to shoot the back end of a storm quicker with a 6kg backpack than with a 10kg backpack, so would you. So I'm betting that I'll get some pretty good shots in the time I save. This is my living, time is money.
2. I do use a shoulder strap.
3. Lots of people think this is more about dslrs than full frame, it's not. Full frame zooms are big and heavy, whether there's a mirror in the camera or not.
I said at the start of this video that this wasn't about me trying to persuade anyone to change their own gear. Most people got that, some didn't. But don't worry, nobody is going to take your camera away from you!

Everybody needs confirmation bias... you didn't do that for I'd say roughly 1/3 of the market, following the "1/3 of people will hate what you do no matter how good it is" theory.
Thanks James for helping relieve me of the notion that I can’t do pro quality work with a crop sensor lightweight. That said, my Nikon D500 weighs plenty but delivers amazing images. Nice to be reassured by a pro and entertained well. BTW, I too love using primes. Thought not always practical, they challenge my skills finding angles without a zoom, and light as a feather. Why suffer if you don’t need to right?

I think it’s because that is not a big set up! Try walking around with a medium format like me or even a proper video camera. That Nikon will feel like an iphone afterwards! 😉

I now carry printed copies of the laws and regs regarding public photography with me in my camera bag, so if someone - police, security, whoever, wants to say I can't be shooting somewhere I can just pull the papers out and let them know I can.
I was really happy, until I realized it was 4 years ago, and now you are shooting with a full frame Sony..
I can't stop giggling at this video. Totally can relate to this. I'm 5 feet petite female photographer and taking photos with my 5D mark iii and carrying all my gear can take a toll, (but it's sort of a happy pain). But as you said, switching to crop depends on the project you're doing.
You carried that medicimbal just to have it in the frame for fraction of the second to emphasise the point. Respect :D

Can’t praise Fuji enough. The dynamic range is on par with full frame. If you really want to keep it small, look at the xt20 with 18-55. Best value in photography

Ash Ohare can’t agree strong enough. The 18-55mm is being described as the best kit lens ever made in history, by any brand. And some reviewers don’t even call it a kit lens bc it’s an insult to the lens.
Some great primes to look at are the legendary duo 23 1.4 and 56 1.2. And the 90 and 16 are phenomenal and technically Fuji’s best lenses. And for street, weight and price the 35f2 or 23 f2 can’t be beat.
I love that I seem to be repeatedly getting recommended this video now, even after watching it, with how many of your new videos are around the S5 :p

I'm just getting into digital photography for the first time, invested in a a6500 with a nice 16-70 f4.0 lens. I really appreciated this video! So useful to have such real-life considerations described so well - I'd been considering the A7SII for a long time, then opted to save £1000 and go for the a6500, but couldn't help feeling like I'd missed out a bit in committing to the smaller sensor for all my future lenses. You've helped put that to rest - it's easy for a beginner to get lost in specs as the more important considerations for a good photo.
6D with battery grip user here. Switched to XT-1 this week and man, what a change it is! During one walk around my city I took more photos than during 3 or 4 walks with full frame body. For me there are many pros, mainly: size/weight, 'more keepers', good JPEGs. I still keep my 6D for landscape photography. For street photos XT-1 is a way to go for me.
I just 100% totally enjoyed watching this. I went from a 7d to t2i and everything just got more magical. I like to get good pictures based from what I know, have learned over the years and can work with instead of relying on crazy silly expensive cameras to do it for me. Do you and shoot with what you want. If you think any choice you make will improve your photography and make you happier, that should never be an issue in a million years :)
The 7D isnt even full frame though...
So relatable. I bought an expensive second hand full frame camera to take my photography to the next level... but now I don't enjoy taking my camera out with me, or if I do take it out, I take it out of its bag less!
I find this funny because I actually just switched from fuji apsc to nikon full frame. While i do do a bit of street, urban exploring, and other genres of photography that are considered to be nondescript, i don;t feel uncomfortable shooting a larger camera. The dynamic range and legacy glass have been blowing me away! I also love that the camera is heftier.
Interesting video this. I makes a lot of sense. Plus those older folk who have downsized have a wealth of experience so very much worth listening to. Nice one mate. You got a new sub too.

100% the same reasons I switched! Love my mirrorless and have a renewed excitement for the art. Love that u can shoot without the shutter sound and take color and b&w with the same shutter release.
Great valid reasoning. I don't understand how people can disagree with your own personal views about your own setup, when they're yours. Like you said, you weren't trying to convert anyone. m43 actually does pretty good low light performance with the prime lenses which are very small and lightweight (the f 1.8 ones) you can pack 3 or 4 of them in your bag no problem, that is what I do. Changing the lenses out here and there is a very minor nuisance, no big deal really. By the way awesome video, what city are all of those bridges in? Fantastic looking bridges.

i honestly love this, theres a time and place for full frame but its awesome because i love my canon SL2 its my favourite crop camera and its so tiny too

I've used Canon full frame bodies for several years for professional portraits, and on occasion, some events. I've also used Canon APS-C bodies (40d, 70d, 80d) for portraits and even more events. Crop sensor image quality has improved so much that now I rarely use the FF -- only in extremely low light situations when I don't want to bring a flash. And I got so tired of the weight of FF and heavy lenses. So a few years ago I got the SL1. What a joy. I'll soon get an SL3. I haven't found a mirrorless that I like better so I am sticking with the amazing little SL cameras. And for half the price of mirrorless!
The way you framed each shot was so visually interesting with symmetry and shapes. I’m inspired I also feel less insecure about not having full frame
I'm using an Olympus OM-D E-M10ii and really loving it. The small size makes it so easy to take anywhere. I love my Pentax K1 for landscapes but it's no fun to take my FF kit on an airplane trip.
Just made the same jump from D750 to Olympus EM10. No regrets so far. It's not just downsizing the body, the M43 lenses are so small and light, plus i can have a smaller tripod, camera bag, everything is just smaller and better and the stabilisation is mega. The compromise we accept is the sensor will only ever ingest 1/4 of the photons of FF. But hey, there are ways round this in most circumstances.
No that isnt true, dynamic range depends on light capture, and that depends on pixel size. You cant just compare sensor size you have to take into account number of Pixels as it depends on Pixel area. The MFT EM10 has 16MP so it has the same light gathering abilty as an APS 24MP D7100 or 0.6 that of a 36MP Fx D810 (or the 45MP D850 of course which improves sensitivity by removing the surface wiring). No doubt some will point out the Nikons have less noise, well yes that is in camera noise reduction, personally I wouldnt touch that with a bargepole; I prefer to remove noise under my control in post. So you will ask do they have the same noise at base signal as calculation suggests? Well i have taken test shots comparing GX7 & D7100 without noise reduction and noise is teh same as expected from geometry. No idea why but DSLR fanboys just like to rubbish crop sensor cameras but, most of them havent a clue just prejudice.

Having recently switched my second/backup system to micro four thirds, I find myself using it more than my primary Pentax system when I don't need to be able to print huge 30 or 40 inch prints. Having a multi lens kit that covers from an equivalent of 24mm to 600mm that weighs less than 10lbs is a back saver.
I'm one of the older people to which you refer, you are spot on, my Nikon kit became too heavy so have now joined the Olympus 4/3 brigade, excellent camera and excellent vid, well done!

At the risk of fanning the flames, I agree. I recently bought my first "old" MFT camera -- an Olympus E-P3, which I'd intended to use just for video. For higher resolution and color depth I planned to keep using my Sigma DP2 Quattro (speaking of controversial subjects!) Like you, most of my shots are taken in daylight. Frankly, I was shocked how much I enjoy using the little Olympus. I got their 50mm equivalent f/1.8 prime (136 grams!) and it produces wonderful shots. The Sigma is great but I have to keep it at base ISO and use a tripod where the E-P3, with built-in stabilization and touchscreen focus control, is a breeze in comparison. No one was more surprise than I was, especially considering the age of the camera. I plan on getting the Olympus 90mm equivalent f/1.8, which somehow is even lighter. That's nuts. I mean, really: a 90mm f/1.8 that weighs 116g! Prior to these I used a Sony RX1 and first-gen A99, which were both great. But the truth is, I love compact systems and get more shots with them, and the quality difference in daylight is negligible. Thanks for the video!
it is so rare people use Sigma Digital Cameras that I am a huge fan of.. (more user than a fan) ... I sold my D800 last year and I am so happy I made that decision! I use many Sigma DPm series and SD1 Merrill as well, as well as Canon Mirrorless and even Panasonic and a few compacts! , If you have good understanding how cameras works.. you will be able to get the real Full Frame look with Speedboosters attached to your Mirrorlens camera. seriously people dont need a FF camera to make great photos! BELIEVE IT!
My main camera is a lumix gx80 with the 25 1.7 and the 42.5 1.7. its small and light and i couldnt run around with a bigger camera 24/7.

Great video man. As I’ve started my vlog I have been continually trying to minimize my camera gear for all the reasons you mentioned. The biggest one being the attention it draws.

For your tripod static image shots, an EM1.2 has a high res mode for 80M images. While not the same as having a native high res FF camera, there is some flexibility.
First time seeing your channel-as an event photographer full frame is a must for me but I totally agree with you regarding the weight/back pain! Love your style and the way you put this vlog together. Instantly hooked and have subscribed.

How do you feel about it now that fullframe mirrorless has become more of a real thing?
Personally I have the Z6 and that feels way more manageable than a d850 would have.
Sure its not light but its about bthe same as a regular aps-c camera.

I fully understand your point. Besides the increased dynamic range on those pro cameras, and probably the less noise they produce, many seem to forget that it's the view of the photographer that creates a truly great picture. Any crop sensor from 2014 onwards with a proper lens will give you sufficient enough detail and clarity to take that amazing shot

I got amazing shots on my 50D in 2009 or so… unless you’re printing it huge it’s plenty of resolution supposing you’re using a good lens AND KNOW HOW TO USE THE CAMERA

I just sold a lot of my full frame Sony gear and started using my entry level Nikon D3300 again. Absolutely love the lightweight setup. Less focus on gear and more on composing shots 🙌
I totally agree with you. This is also why I switched to crop sensor recently. After years of professional fashion photography. And It's not a matter of budget. To me, it's all about having the gear I am "happy" to shoot with. That's it.
Yup! I totally get that. My use is pretty much everything on-the-go and travelling, back in the day my first interchangeable lens camera was the Panasonic GH2. I just couldn't go with a fullframe system, because although a Sony A7-series camera for example is fairly compact, you still need big expensive lenses to cover that sensor. Then I took it up a notch with the E-M1 which was better for photos, then came the GH4 that introduced 4K and so on and so on. *...*
I did briefly get excited when rumors of the A6300 popped up, because for me APS-C/S35 performance is where it's at (4/3" just takes a bit too much hit on dynamic range, high ISO lowlight performance, etc, not that you can't make it work staying inside the limitations), but what use is getting a camera for the sensor alone, if the camera itself turns out to be a bit of a turd (heat issues, nauseating rolling shutter, poor ergonomics, no vari-angle screen, touchscreen implementation is very limited, screen dims when recording, poor battery life, color needs tons of tweaking, etc), atleast Panasonics are a joy to work with. And... the MFT system has a plethora of lenses to choose from, that range from compact and affordable, to professional bulky ones with a premium price tag. Sony hasn't give a damn about compact lenses native to that APS-C sensor for years now... Fujifilm is close with their X-T2, but no frontfacing screen (nor touch sensitive), no dedicated headphone port, no F-Log internally, like the Samsung NX1, a more limited mount, with less third party support, no electronic adapters for EF lenses... plus, quite a few lenses don't have optical stabilization... yet the camera doesn't offer sensor stabilization either. A big 'nono' for me in this day and age. So... no fullframe for me either. Would love something APS-C/S35... IF (!) they follow the philosophy of bringing out compact lenses native for that sensor size to keep size and weight down (lenses ultimately decide the compactness of a system, not so much the camera body)... and are a joy to use.
I think both Panasonic GH5 and Olympus E-M1 Mark II are prime examples of how manufacturers should approach camera bodies. They've really thought of everything in my eyes. The only thing that could make that better... yup, an APS-C sensor.
Ultimately... there's no perfect camera (yet), there's just the best compromise for your style of shooting, which differs from one individual to the next. ;)

Some good points there. As an old gent I sometimes struggle with a full backpack of gear if I'm out for the day.
Love your channel. You crack me up. I ditched my DSLR to a mirrorless this past year. Mainly because I do backpacking trips and the mirrorless camera is lighter and takes up less space in my pack.

I really appreciate that you carried a 10kg medicine ball around town to pay off that gag. Well done. Also, recently joined the M43 brigade. Sold my Canon 6D for a GH5 for video and stills. I’m getting amazing results out of it. Even for photos, which is wild as everyone says it’s garbage for stills. No...it’s not. It has its limitations, but if you know them you can work around them and still get great photos. And Lumix glass is bangin’. No regrets. Let the FF fam rail. They can have the heavier gear. And the inevitable back pain that comes with it.

I upgraded from my GH2 to a X-T2. I love them both and am glad I kept the GH2 with some primes. Before jumping into to Fuji world I was considering a D750 or 5D Mk III. Only thing I’m kinda wondering is how weather resistant/dust and other elements proof the X-System is in some situations. Love your channel!

If u plan on doing any video, forget about the 5d3 and I'm a huge Canon fan. Just sold mine for that reason. No dual pixel af, no flip screen, no connectivity. The only thing good from canon right now is the 6d2 which is lacking a lot of things as well but that's all we have to work with from them.
I have my dx format camera & I've gotten by for 4 years shooting but I would still prefer a full frame! haha

Always enjoy your videos. During the last 3 years I bought and sold the same camera 6 times and in between that period various other cameras (all shapes and sizes) came and went. The camera I keep going back to is the Samsung NX500. I call it the little big camera for a reason, even in 2018.

Great video. I too experienced a renaissance in my photography after buying a mft camera. Because of its size and features, it means that I will usually have the camera on me when I normally wouldn't have taken my dSLR. Having a fully capable camera on me more often means that I have more opportunities to come back with images I wouldn't have taken before. My mft camera reinvigorated the my joy of photography in ways that I never expected!

I find it quite ironic, because my father has gone full frame. Because he's a very occasional photographer, he's always used either an EOS1100d or 1200d. I use cropped- Canon EOS1200d (if I'm travelling light), 50d (getting old now but still a nice camera to use) and 80d (my main camera). I told him if he was going to invest in a new camera to go for the 80d. That way, he could use his existing lenses. But no. He's gone for a new 6d, so it's meant he's had to upgrade all of his lenses to full frame to get the best from that camera and without vignetting. So he's had to shell out one hell of a lot of dosh. Well he can't say that I didn't try and warn him. A lot of money to spend for somebody that only shoots about ten shots a year, always shoots fully auto, and hasn't a clue how to use Photoshop (of which I tried to teach him the basics!)
Canon EF-S lenses cannot fit on a full frame camera!
You have to ask him a couple of things; 1) Does he mind replacing the lenses; 2) Is he happy with his decision? If either or true, and he can afford his decision, then he made the right choice.
I shoot with an 80D and a 5D mark III. My only EF-S lens is my 18-55. Other than that all my lenses are EF. So they all work on both. Except that kit lens.
Nice video. You sound like me. The a6500 and the Sony EP Z 18 to 105 mm f/4 E mount G lens, is all you need for most vid or photo work. Travel light, get more done...and yeah, JPG is under rated!
You are right about it. I use a digital rangefinder i love the compact style and I use only two lenses in total. But 98 percent of the time is a 28 mm

I use an RZ67 with two lenses and two backs haha if you do that for a little while, FF feels like mirrorless.

You've convinced me and it's for this reason I'm going from my Canon 60D to probably a Sony a6300 maybe even with a prime on it. The Canon just so rarely gets taken out these days unless I know I'm specifically going to get a shot. I'm looking for that renewed enthusiasm
You can shoot in low light with ASP-C. You just need a fast lens or a speed booster or both.
For many use cases APS-C sensors would probably be usable even at ISO 6400, not even necessarily needing so fast stuff
I work as an event photographer, hell yeah you can shoot with APS-C! For the longest time I shot with a Nikon d3200 and the kit lens (now I'm using a canon 7d) and it's harder, sure, but completely doable, even without a fast lens. It also helps that the studio I work for uses an insane amount of flash photography, so lighting isn't that bad of an issue.
Good to experiment and find the gear that suits your purpose and desires best. I need that light, and don't mind carrying heavy gear :-)
You have just blown the reviews of the Canon 6D Mk II out of the water. Everyone was complaining about a minuscule DR "issue" so to speak, but in the end, the drilling down of the FF vs APC-S or 4/3 issue can be an exhaustive treatise in futility. Thanks for the review.
Ha, love your video. Totally agree, I often prefer using my D5600 for the lower weight and simplicity of it.
Shoot whatever you want. No one looks at a photo and can tell what you shot it on. Personally I switched to Sony A7 with a 24-240 all purpose zoom from a big, heavy Canon 7D and 4 lenses. I definitely feel the difference in weight, and I have had many more better images these past 2 years. I put it more down to lack of weight rather than the full frame sensor. All I can recommend is that you should take your time when choosing what system you get into next, try some systems out through rentals and see what works for you..... I think I could see you working well in the Fuji system - make sure you give them a shot. I have also tried the Canon M5 - and my word it's a nice photography camera in a small package.
A little light hearted musing to finish on: in photography - you always want what you don't have.... When you have a big heavy camera, you wish for a light, more portable system, then 2 years into that light system you miss the image quality, dynamic range, lenses, low light performance etc. So preempting that feeling, can you name that video in 2 years "Dean - your said this would happen: ". When that happens we can have a chat - and I can convince you not to buy a full frame monster.... or worse medium format :)

I had used APSC DSLR for quite some time and was about to switch to full frame. Then a friend was big on m43. So I tried that also and absolutely loved it. It's so compact and lightweight. I enjoy and appreciate nature and cities more rather than just being a camera carrier. I think that's the key to good shots than a bigger sensor unless you are a professional wedding photographer or something.
Pure happiness. I can just grab it and go. And goodbye to neck&shoulder pain.

"Best camera" is entirely a matter of opinion. Just take into account your needs, and whether or not those needs might include full frame. I for one use both full frame and DX format, and I love then both, depending upon the situation involved.
Whether or not a camera is "bullet proof" might fit into a different sort of need.
One disadvantage of full frame cameras is surely the added expense involved. Let's not forget that DX format surely has several worthy characteristics.

@Azad Entertainment I think the point about a 'capable' camera just means that yes they care that the camera is up to the job that they need it for, but that doesnt automatically mean the latest, greatest and biggest camera they can get. Many professionals might have the biggest and best as it allows them to capture better pictures in the circumstances they shoot in, whereas other professional photographers will again care about the camera as much as it can meet their needs, but for them that might not mean the biggest and most expensive or even full frame

@Azad Entertainment Usability is a factor. A lot of digital cameras have awkward nested menus and fiddly buttons which are easily pressed by accident.

Fully agree, went from my Sony A6000 to A7mk3. Great camera but too heavy (even though its smaller than a lot of FF's). Traded in for an A6500 with a Zeiss lens. Very happy, and got some change!

Keep making videos James, I find them not only very educational, but also highly entertaining. I have a Canon 6D and a 70D, and find the 70D with a shorter lens is usually just a better thing to carry around compared to the 6D. Although, for video, I find the 6D does a better job. Now, the iPhone 8+ with its amazing Portrait mode, has been taking surprisingly great photos and I can see where not even bringing a camera would be the thing to do, I mean, why would you? If you can take great pictures and go easy on your back.

I've been shooting full frame for almost 2 years now. Had the 70D and the quality I needed just isn't there for anything I shot and not even close. I've also never had issues with permits or it being too heavy per say. I wanted always high quality from my images and I always get it with my full frame camera. Shot with crop sensor for many many years and glad I made the switch to full frame. I do understand your points for sure, just never had the issues you talk about. The biggest thing in photography is you have a camera you're happy with and you produce the quality you want from said camera. I love my full frame cameras.

My back pain is with you, my work need super big prints but I’m gradually switching to cropped sensors because they simply need a couple of primes and I can shoot a wedding at the same quality for the print or the bokeh. And yeah the permit and press permissions have a big impact also here. Either I’m shooting with a Sony A6000 with a 80mm f1.8 or using an awkward Sony Rx100iii... clients don’t see the difference! I use a Canon 100D. Very small and quite versatile! Combined with a EF 70 - 200 L IS USM, it performs very well.Maybe some good photographer ability, will enable better results.I know its a light camera, and a heavyish lense. But I get some great results.And that is what matters.
you can have a Full Frame sensor in a body smaller than the mirrorless GH5 in a Sony A7R ii/iii or A9...

Sony a7/9's are fantastic rather small cameras and set-ups if you shoot them with fast primes like the 55 mm f1.8 or the Zeiss 25 mm f2, BUT if you want super fast f1.4 or of course zooms like James said, the advantages compared to FF DSLR's are almost completely lost.

James, but the weight of the Nikon D750 is 1.7 lb and the Panasonic GH5 weights 1.6 lb. Is it 0.1 lb that makes you switch from FF to 4/3?

Gh5 also has a very large heatsink to dissipate heat from continuous 4k shooting at a very high bit rate. You cannot compare the two when it comes to weight as they are purposed for different things. Besides there are plenty of other m43 cameras to compare that are well below the weight of a mirrored ff dslr

How about APSC? Bigger sensor then M4/3, smaller then FF, There few really nice bodies out there, like Fuji X-T2 or something from Sony, however they are a little bit expensive... I would give it a try if i were you, hopefulyl you can loan it from a company in Manchaster or from a good friend :) (I would recommend fuji btw.. just because of weather resistance) Good luck with your decision m8, we are waiting fro your new videos about your new toy

Good luck, i am going to switch from pentax to fuji in about few months... tried out the X-t2 and it really gives a nice photography feeling to the whole procedure, it slows you down quite a bit. It's dynamic range is reasonable, few things i do not entirely like.. battery life, fuji raw files and probably the price of the system.. lack of 3rd party lenses etc... buying a new camera is such a frustrating procedure.. hate every moment of it :D

Well.. X-T2 is more expensive then the FF D750.. especially with the battery grip...
If you want a flagship, high end APSC body.. it is almost the same price nowdays :(

James Popsys I agree with you James... I have friends of mine who keep telling me I'm missing out on ff or to get some alphas... Nope... Don't need 50mp, don't need more dr, don't need high ISO, don't need shallower dof, don't want the weight, and yeah alpha cameras have big lenses that negate the size differential. Great video man!

James, I agree with you mostly. I have both Nikon FF (3 bodies) and Olympus (2). Between one third and half of my photography is with my Olympus because they are lighter and will fit into my pockets or under my jacket. Olympus is my walk around camera. The quality is good enough.
Because of a backup problem being that my Olympus only write to one card and that they put all the pictures into the same sub-directory, this requires that I take a computer when travelling for backups. My Nikons do not have this problem. Weight of Olympus plus computer equals 2 Nikons and 2 zoom lens. If only Olympus would fix the backup problem. I have made the suggestion (firmware change) but nothing. Then I could leave the Nikon(s) in the store.

I've been a mirrorless fan since the LUMIX GH1, and have never considered moving up the scale - a trip to an airshow with a Nikon FF-toting mate left quite an impression on me!
