Churches chicken have the absolute best sides! The biscuits, fried okra, mash and gravy, jalapeño peppers! A childhood favorite! And they was cheap growing up in the 90’s
I like Popeyes when we are talking about national chains, but I’m a big fan of gas station chicken in general. Krispy Krunchy or like royal farms for example
When Churches first came to my area back in the day the chicken, fries and rolls were so good. I don’t live near a CC now, but Popeyes are now popping up everywhere. I tend to like Popeyes now, and definitely more so than KFC.
8 dollars for 3 pieces of chicken is crazy. At churches you can literally get 20 pieces of chicken for 12 dollars like cmon dude Popeyes fix yourself. Now i genuinely know why there’s like 2 cars in a Popeyes line now.
Man I guess it depends on which one you go to cause KFC and Church's use to be bomb. I actually never had Popeyes growing up I had to try it cause KFC and Church's got nasty then I tried out Popeyes and so far so good. But a lot of stuff ain't the same like it was back in the day.
Popeyes over church for me. I gotta try church again because of this but from my recollection i didnt care for it. Too bad my church is in the hood though.
When I went to middle school in Tampa there was a Church's across the street that alot of the other kids would go to, but I never tried it. Popeye's doesn't have any locations near me in SW Pennsylvania, but I always eat there when I travel and their chicken is FIRE and so are their fries.
Church's Tuesday 2 piece snack for $1.99 special was my goto for many years. I think they got rid of that but they have a 3 piece snack for $4.99 everday. That's still a good deal.
If you ever get chicken from any of the ones in Phx, look at the reviews before you order. they vary in quality a lot And on occasion food sickness The one in Winslow tho You can always count on that one
It also depends on the time when you got the chicken and if it change out the oil and who cooked it because tomorrow it can be vice versa depending on when you get the chicken
Popeyes is easy better than churches... however i get chicken more often from churches due to pricing and more options on sides.. like the okra which is my fav.
I hate that church’s doesn’t have more locations and it’s always in a tough area. Their biscuits are the best in the game. Popeyes fries and chicken sando is my fave out of all big fast food joints tho
Church’s for the spicy-ness which Popeyes lacks. If you go to Church’s you always get the Spicy because their regular isn’t seasoned at all, it’s pure flour power lol. I find Church’s Chicken to be more moist/juicy than Popeyes. It’s Team Church’s for me. Sorry Popeyes.
I had a very bad experience my first time getting Church’s and since then I I don’t get their chicken. The chicken was not cooked and had fat all over the meat. It got thrown away, and I wasted my money on it…
I had same experience with Popeye. I had diarrhea after having Popeye chicken. But I guess its not church or Popeye brand problem it's the specific franchise problem.
@cookiebot3369 Popeyes and Jollibee both suck. They are appropriate for the Asian market not North American market. I'd pick Church's. Wouldn't even feed my dog some Popeyes.
@@kevinfed668Popeyes is from Louisiana. They are just as American as Churches. And what's wrong with non-American chains? Have you tried Korean fried chicken? 🤌
@FinalVibes nothing wrong but it's an open fact those chains appeal to their own markets not the American markets. I have tried Jollibee a couple of times as it's not so prevalent as Churches or Popeyes in my area. Would prefer Churches over Popeyes and Jollibee for sure.
Why does nobody talk about how Popeyes has that one flavor to their chicken that makes it taste way better than every other place. I don’t even know what it is but it tastes like heaven.
In the early 90s, $10 got you a 10 piece, 3 large ears of corn, a large mashed potato and gravy. Now it gets you 4 pieces and 2 biscuits. What fed 5 people now feeds 2.
