Rev Father Derrick Yap a certainFilipina ofw Gina Bardon Dapat was supposed to take a long vacation to Cebu City Philippines. She had a booked plane ticket for this week December but she got a serious illness on December 3 . On December 9 she underwent brain surgeries at Tan Toch Seng and most probably still recuperating in her hospital bed. Please do the goodness of singing her a Christmas carol. Her family , spouse and three kids are waiting because since May 2019 she was not able to visit the Philippines and of course to her family. Thank you for the liturgy of the word during the pandemic. God bless us all

I love that you are so courageous to follow your heart's desires for singing and dancing while being a priest. I am a dancer and a believer as well. I have also consecrated myself to the Lord but did not join a monastery as I did not receive the calling. When i dance, i feel my entire being is in worship of our Lord fulfilling His plan. I would love to share your story with others. There was a time some Christian schools wouldn’t take non-Christian students. I tried convincing the decision makers then. Singing and dancing are my passion too. It’s all to glorify our God our maker 💖👍🙏
its likely that Christian school was Protestant .They do also discriminate against Catholic ,unless we convert to their religion .here locally the Catholic school has students from different religions ,race etc.

SMOTA is a vibrant and happy place filled with eager and lovely parishioners and amazingly talented priests who connect with people to bring God's love and words in the most practical yet in heart-piercing- and-soul-searching ways. We, too, are blessed with our brilliant parish priest, Friar Michael and the many priests who came in and out of St Mary's who had became very dear friends to many of us. 💖🙏💖 Fr Derrick did my wedding at the chapel and though it was very small and intimate it was filled with beautiful music of praises and his singing. Impressive Father Derrick! Amazing grace from our Lord Jesus Christ about your amazing gift in singing and dancing. I can relate you Father because I'm in the choir, joyfully love to sing and dance. We have Priest here love to sing and love to chant. You and Him have similar softness quality of voice in singing. So silly, I mentioned to our Priest here, "keep singing Father!". I go to different Catholic Churches here. Mostly Priest are singers. And I remembered, they know how to sing 'Latin song" during Eucharistic Revival here last month July this year. All i can say, Priest are so gifted, talented, humble, friendly, approachable, and have a beautiful smile....By the way, did you try to sing with your cat, dog and other animals? Animals are really love to hear their human owner singing. I making friends wild rabbits, stray cats, squirrels, and birds through singing. SMOTA is a vibrant and happy place filled with eager and lovely parishioners and amazingly talented priests who connect with people to bring God's love and words in the most practical yet in heart-piercing- and-soul-searching ways. We, too, are blessed with our brilliant parish priest, Friar Michael and the many priests who came in and out of St Mary's who had became very dear friends to many of us. 💖🙏💖 Fr Derrick did my wedding at the chapel and though it was very small and intimate it was filled with beautiful music of praises and his singing. Thank you very much for everything that you do, Fr Derrick 🙏 We look forward to the launching of this album!😍🤩🥰

Impressive Father Derrick! Amazing grace from our Lord Jesus Christ about your amazing gift in singing and dancing. I can relate you Father because I'm in the choir, joyfully love to sing and dance. We have Priest here love to sing and love to chant. You and Him have similar softness quality of voice in singing. So silly, I mentioned to our Priest here, "keep singing Father!". I go to different Catholic Churches here. Mostly Priest are singers. And I remembered, they know how to sing 'Latin song" during Eucharistic Revival here last month July this year. All i can say, Priest are so gifted, talented, humble, friendly, approachable, and have a beautiful smile....By the way, did you try to sing with your cat, dog and other animals? Animals are really love to hear their human owner singing. I making friends wild rabbits, stray cats, squirrels, and birds through singing. They become my friends instantly and i keep calling them through singing them everytime, i see them again.....God bless you Father Derrick and All the Priest around the world! In persona Christi!
