My dad died today. Composing a playlist in memory of the most lovely man who has left this earth. The pain is something I have never experienced. Your heart just rips out of your chest. You dont know what to do and the tears are unstoppable.
i dont know how painful it can be for you, but i do know that pain will felt less in time and at some point you wont even be sad because he is gone, you will be happy because of the memories you have with him and you will be thankful because he was a part of your life so i hope you come that point soon, be strong💜
The past fills me with regrets beyond redemption, the future has been crush and at best bleak. Never though about actually someone to being able like an open book, wide eyes with life and ecstasy, who show so much effort. And I killed it.. with my own ego. So much I should have done but it was always later or tomorrow in my mind..I took her for granted and I can't even swallow the saliva in my mouth realising tomorrow is no longer an option. The pain, the regrets, the mischances..I truly hope no one they go through this..

My husband married me and carried me during the height of my illness and helped me as I healed. Not only did he take care of me, he took on being a father to my 12 year old daughter at the time with no hesitation. He built this house up. My husband died 5 months ago in a head on collision and our 6 month old baby boy survived. This is a beautiful song that really speaks to me.

I had stage 4 cancer a year ago, I listened to this song every night and cried myself to sleep. I was scared and didn't know if i was going to make it through, but I have so far. This song means a lot to me, and i listen to it when i need to take a step back to humble myself and be thankful for what i have.

This is actually the third time i am writing this, TH-cam keeps playing the next song and all I have written goes away……. This song makes me think about my mom…… her beautiful smile…. Her kindness, her good heart….. Mom suffered so hard to raise me and my siblings…… She built herself up after relocating, and then she built her own home, where i was raised with so many memories that will live with me till the end of my life. Mom went on this place with my church where we annually go to pray… She was healthy when she left but she never returned. She was supposed to return the next day after praying for 5 days but I received the most heartbreaking call from my pastor on this tragic Tuesday, December 24 around 3pm, that she had passed away. It was a few minutes past 3 so she must have died earlier, maybe around 2:50 or so. Wow, I never thought i could cry this hard….. My elder brother left immediately to bring her home… She went with my younger brother and two of my nephews, and i just can’t imagine how bad it must have felt for my little ones being in the same car with my mom lifeless body, she arrived home around midnight, we laid her in her bedroom….. And there she was, lying lifeless.. Oh my queen, my warrior, my hero…. I cried so hard,,,, My uncle cried so damn hard,,, i was worried of how my auntie was going to feel,,, she got to the house the next day, as we were about to put my mom in the ground….. she break down and cry so hard,,,, we laid her to rest right in front of our house where she ask us to burry her anytime she dies, just like she had known. Can you imagine burying my mom on Christmas Day? My little brother was supposed to travel that day, we had to reschedule his flight after so many begging as he refuse to go because of this tragic event… We thought that was all but my uncle that was crying with us also passed away the 5th day after mom died. I was at the airport with my little brother, he was checking in for his flight when the call came in that my uncle had passed away too, I could not tell my little brother because i know it will ruin his whole day. I went back home crying again… DEC 2022 took a lot from my family and we never remain the same till date..I hope my mom will be proud of us,,, she never enjoyed a bit of what she suffered for…. I am not the type that writes in comment section but reading everyone else sharing their story made me want to share mine too… To everyone going through depression or a difficult situation, please know that it does not last forever. Keep going, you will survive, you will be fine… Even if i am not fine right now, and I do not know if i will ever be fine. I just know that being positive is the best way to be. Please stay strong for yourself, for your family and for the people that loves you… RIP mom, you will forever be my hero, RIP grandma, you will forever be my hero… my story is deeper than i can type into words, than i can even explain….. I am just a loner who is trying to navigate through this tragedy that has turn my life into something i never imagined….. I loved a woman like that once. I worked 2 jobs just out of school, and bought a piece of property along the river to build us a home. She was the love of my life, but she died way too young, before the house was built. I've spent a lifetime trying to feel the same way about someone, but was never able to love again. I gave her my heart, and she took it with her.
My dad died a couple of weeks ago. He was a musician on the side until he wasn't able to grip his guitar anymore. Something tells me he would have loved this song. Depression hadn't visited me in a while, but with everything going on in the world it has become a frequent house guest. All I can say is- sometimes just breathing, just existing, that is enough.
Learn the beginning of your basic needs; like eating, pooping, showering and sleeping. Then you can add healthy friendships that care and think about you.

I've had a lot of loss in my life but losing your parent is something else, different. My grandpa used to tell me, "Sweetheart, you only have one mom in this life." As a kid I thought I understood what he meant but it wasn't until my mom died in 2021 that I REALLY knew what he meant. In this whole world, in all the lives on this earth that ONE WOMAN was MY mom, whether we got along or not, she was the one chosen to be my mother. I wish she was still here even though we had our differences, maybe more time would've helped our relationship. All I know was she was my mom, and I miss her so much sometimes it's even hard to breathe. I love you mom, we'll be together again someday in heaven.

I remember about 5 years ago I tried taking my life and I remember waking up in hospital with my family there and a nurse and when I woke up I just started crying saying why didn’t you let me go I want to die let me be and my mum looked at me and said because I love you we love you and we all need you and you may think time is hard but we will get through this together and since then I may of had 3 more attempts but each time I learned that one more person actually cared about me I’m now 17 and I’m in my dream school ready to reach my dream goal of being a paramedic and I’m so glad I held on a bit longer if you ever need anything I’m here Edit: Thank you guys for the likes and support it means a lot to me xx

And every time there are wonderful people describing their stories that makes me overwhelmed with emotions that many that I can't even handle them all together and then I burst into tears and realize how wonderful it is to have what I have and how important it is to realize that life is such a beauty and tragedy at the same time. I lost my mom when I was 10, and while it’s so hard for any child, it only got so much harder as I got older. When I learned how to drive, first prom, graduation, college, when my fiancé proposed, these are happy memories, with a twinge of sadness, wishing I saw my mom in the crowd, cheering me on.

I listened to this song while my husband was dying in the hospital because of a genetic disorder. He was too young, only 39, and didn't want to leave me and our kids behind. The lyric that makes me think of him the most is when it says "held on as tightly as you held onto me." He was a good man and he wasn't bitter to be in his situation. Not only did he take care of me, he took on being a father to my 12 year old daughter at the time with no hesitation. He built this house up. This is actually the third time i am writing this, TH-cam keeps playing the next song and all I have written goes away……. This song makes me think about my mom…… her beautiful smile…. Her kindness, her good heart….. Mom suffered so hard to raise me and my siblings…… She built herself up after relocating, and then she built her own home, where i was raised with so many memories that will live with me till the end of my life. Mom went on this place with my church where we annually go to pray… She was healthy when she left but she never returned. She was supposed to return the next day after praying for 5 days but I received the most heartbreaking call from my pastor on this tragic Tuesday, December 24 around 3pm, that she had passed away. It was a few minutes past 3 so she must have died earlier, maybe around 2:50 or so. Wow, I never thought i could cry this hard….. My elder brother left immediately to bring her home… She went with my younger brother and two of my nephews, and i just can’t imagine how bad it must have felt for my little ones being in the same car with my mom lifeless body, she arrived home around midnight, we laid her in her bedroom….. And there she was, lying lifeless.. Oh my queen, my warrior, my hero…. I cried so hard,,,, My uncle cried so damn hard,,, i was worried of how my auntie was going to feel,,, she got to the house the next day, as we were about to put my mom in the ground….. she break down and cry so hard,,,, we laid her to rest right in front of our house where she ask us to burry her anytime she dies, just like she had known. Can you imagine burying my mom on Christmas Day? My little brother was supposed to travel that day, we had to reschedule his flight after so many begging as he refuse to go because of this tragic event… We thought that was all but my uncle that was crying with us also passed away the 5th day after mom died. I was at the airport with my little brother, he was checking in for his flight when the call came in that my uncle had passed away too, I could not tell my little brother because i know it will ruin his whole day. I went back home crying again… DEC 2022 took a lot from my family and we never remain the same till date..I hope my mom will be proud of us,,, she never enjoyed a bit of what she suffered for…. I am not the type that writes in comment section but reading everyone else sharing their story made me want to share mine too… To everyone going through depression or a difficult situation, please know that it does not last forever. Keep going, you will survive, you will be fine… Even if i am not fine right now, and I do not know if i will ever be fine. I just know that being positive is the best way to be. Please stay strong for yourself, for your family and for the people that loves you… RIP mom, you will forever be my hero, RIP grandma, you will forever be my hero… my story is deeper than i can type into words, than i can even explain….. I am just a loner who is trying to navigate through this tragedy that has turn my life into something i never imagined….. I love you mom,,, heaven must be happy after taking the most precious gift from me and my family……. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢. REST IN PEACE COMFORT😢

I loved a woman like that once. I worked 2 jobs just out of school, and bought a piece of property along the river to build us a home. She was the love of my life, but she died way too young, before the house was built. I've spent a lifetime trying to feel the same way about someone, but was never able to love again. I gave her my heart, and she took it with her.

Well what is depression when you remove the d,e,p,r,e,s,s,I,o,n, and add a h,a,p,p,y. Ok that wasn't a good way of saying what I meant, but just remember that you may not think so, but you are loved.
Depression hadn't visited me in a while, but with everything going on in the world it has become a frequent house guest.
All I can say is- sometimes just breathing, just existing, that is enough.
Learn the beginning of your basic needs; like eating, pooping, showering and sleeping. Then you can add healthy friendships that care and think about you.
Sometimes, just being able to exist is a show of great strength itself. Don't give up, you're still existing. You're strong.

I've had a lot of loss in my life but losing your parent is something else, different. My grandpa used to tell me, "Sweetheart, you only have one mom in this life." As a kid I thought I understood what he meant but it wasn't until my mom died in 2021 that I REALLY knew what he meant. In this whole world, in all the lives on this earth that ONE WOMAN was MY mom, whether we got along or not, she was the one chosen to be my mother. I wish she was still here even though we had our differences, maybe more time would've helped our relationship. All I know was she was my mom, and I miss her so much sometimes it's even hard to breathe. I love you mom, we'll be together again someday in heaven.

I remember about 5 years ago I tried taking my life and I remember waking up in hospital with my family there and a nurse and when I woke up I just started crying saying why didn’t you let me go I want to die let me be and my mum looked at me and said because I love you we love you and we all need you and you may think time is hard but we will get through this together and since then I may of had 3 more attempts but each time I learned that one more person actually cared about me I’m now 17 and I’m in my dream school ready to reach my dream goal of being a paramedic and I’m so glad I held on a bit longer if you ever need anything I’m here

This song breaks my heart. It reminds me that whatever I build, my dad won't be there to see it. He won't see me get married, he can't walk me down the aisle, he won't get to see me have kids, or who I become at all. Loss is so hard. I didn't only lose him for that one point in time, I lost him for all of our future moments too, for everything that could have been. I lost my mom when I was 10, and while it’s so hard for any child, it only got so much harder as I got older. When I learned how to drive, first prom, graduation, college, when my fiancé proposed, these are happy memories, with a twinge of sadness, wishing I saw my mom in the crowd, cheering me on.

I listened to this song while my husband was dying in the hospital because of a genetic disorder. He was too young, only 39, and didn't want to leave me and our kids behind. The lyric that makes me think of him the most is when it says "held on as tightly as you held onto me." He was a good man and he wasn't bitter to be in his situation. He was so kind to everyone in the hospital that was trying to help him. But he really didn't want to leave, and he clung to us as long as he could manage. I miss you, Chief. I can't wait to see you again someday.
