Did you already link your Bitcoin wallet to your PayPal? How does PayPal know which Bitcoin wallet to credit?

PayPal holds the Bitcoin for you. This makes it easier for the masses to use but it leaves you at 3rd party risk of them going bust, selling fake Bitcoin, or running off with your Bitcoin.

how do i pay for something with that bitcoin? I'm trying to buy something online and the cheapest option is using bitcoin, when i choose the "pay with bitcoin" option a window pops up that says BTCPay and shows "Pay with Bitcoin" Under that is EM followed by a number, then under that it shows a bitcoin QR code with a "Open in Wallet" button, then it looks like there is also the option to send the payment to a bitcoin address and under that it has a "Payment Link With Payjoin Support" address. Since I'm doing this on my PC I can't do the QR code option so I'm assuming I would copy the bitcoin address from the window and somehow send the paypal purchased bitcoin to that address?

Pros:
Easy. Just point and click.
With all the Bitcoin scandals I have to assume that PayPal is not going broke. You will always be able to sell your Bitcoin.
Cons.
Be careful with the fee structure. The more you buy the less the fee percentage. In other words its less expensive to buy $1001.00 than $1000.00.

kelvin ananaba Yes I bought $100 of Ethereum and $100 of Bitcoin. It is really easy to buy and sell once bank is linked. I just bought it for fun.

kelvin ananaba Currently you can only hold it, buy and sell. They have plans in the future to send it, but not currently. My crypto almost immediately dropped and was down $14, but now I am up $3. I bought a little for fun just to see how it works and because I'm an old boomer and wanted to be included in this new thing that no matter how many times I've read and listened to what it is, I still don't get it.

I have a question let's say I want to take my fortune from PayPal you would have to pay PayPal a good percentage of your money?
I use PayPal to buy on line and stuff I've transferred money to my bank account and depending on the amount, you pay PayPal a percentage of the tranfer. I do have a savings account in PayPal but let's say I managed to save 100k or whatever I won't be able to take my money without losing a good chunk of money. So how does that work? You just keep your money there for ever and ever?

$1.66 which the fees that PayPal charges really kills you it's like 50 cents for buying it and selling it, you would have to do more than double the value just to pay for the fees. Not a huge fan of coinbase but it is better than PayPal for sure. Would have been a lot better off to buy $25 worth and still been charged the 50 cent fee.
