@@Limehack I've found no real solution, but now I just downloaded a reminder app that just keeps a permanent notivication up. That way a smaller clock is displayed. UI didn't became prettier, but android 12 is already a lost cause in that regard.
Two things this update infuriated me with, 1) the giant lockscreen digital clock that ruins the lockscreen wallpaper altogether, and 2) when I swipe up on both lockscreen and home screen the wallpapers disappear with a dull white background. How on earth did they think this was a good idea? I fixed the clock on the home screen ages ago, also making the font and icons on the smaller settings, but there isn't an option to sort out the lockscreen clock or keep wallpaper while unlocking phone and switching between running apps. 0/5* rating.

I'm so mad we can't move this huge annoyance of a clock from the middle of our lock screen! I just want a smaller normal one up in the corner and I've never had the issue with any other android. Even ancient ones let you do this and give you different clock widget options. Am I missing something? I just really hate it being in the middle of every pic I wanted to use as a wallpaper and it's too big and ugly and intrusive to me. Not my style and don't like reading the time that way. If anyone ever figures out we can tweak this or an update comes that let's us please let me know. I'd be forever grateful. 😕🤞🏻

When you open it and you'll scroll down till it says display, then look for 'Double-line clock' and then it should work, but it's not in the middle, it's on the top left in your screen. It's not on my Moto G Power 2022, Software Version S3RQS32.20-42-10-6, Android 12. That is one ugly clock design. I've been hoping for an update that would get rid of it.
This is so STUPID, WHY did they have to FORCE you to have that damn UGLY clock on your lock screen for and not even be able to change it or even change its color without changing the color theme of your entire phone. Until this stupid update the clock was smaller and unobtrusive, now its a freaken eye sore. And they dont even give you the CHOICE of not updating to the new version.

I literally do not have all those options. I have privacy option for notification content, skip lock screen option which is off for a number code log in, add text on lock screen, show wallet which is disabled, and show device controls.
Moto G30 Android 12, which only became available to me a day or two ago, doesn't have those options. Under Settings > Display > Lock Screen I have: Privacy Skip lock screen (greyed out) Add text on lock screen Show wallet (greyed out; probably need to turn NFC on) Show device controls That's it. That over-size font and the way they've formatted the clock without sufficient space is ugly as hell. :(
I found that you can change it by changing the clock screen saver option to analog instead of digital and it worked for me :) but idk if it has the same options for other people
I have a moto g stylus and those options don't exist for me. Would love to change this and the giant, awkward buttons at the top of the pull-down try that take up too much space and make absolutely no sense, too. This is such a weird "upgrade..." I want my 11 back.
I also have a Moto g stylus if you go into the Moto app you can change the clock color from there. But yeah there's no way to do it in the normal phone settings.

I think the usage of Moto phones are quite difficult... Redmi has an edge in its UI user friendly and most probably need of the day.. I was expecting a neat and pure Android, but i didn't know, that it would be that difficult to use it...
I just got the update on my phone right now (moto g stylus 5g) and it's definitely an eye sore. It's so big for no reason and it's overwhelming for me in particular I'm currently so frustrated over it that I'm even shedding tears because of how annoyed I am with this update. Definitely makes me want another android phone that isn't moto g to avoid it's overall horrendous update. Don't even get me start with their "we made the fonts bigger" i liked how it was before. What's with the overall display text being as big as the lockscreen clock. I tried to make it small but now it's too small for my liking just to avoid it.
Developers "fix" things to be this way despite no one ever asking them to. It's the only way they keep their jobs, otherwise they would have nothing to work on all day. Windows 8 was a textbook example of this. It's definitely annoying to have them force their customers to have to put up with a stupid-looking clock simply because they decided to go with an Android product. One of my biggest mistakes in getting a new phone was purchasing 2022 moto g stylus. It glitches,turns off with a good charge percentage, upon turning the phone on I have to wait for the blank screen to show apps. I can go on and on. Getting another phone asap. Thanks for the video..

hey guys, to those who are trying to change their clock format to make it look like a normal one, I have found a way to do it, well it is not the best but it works. If you have downloaded a music player, leave the tab open, it will create a notification, you don't need to listen songs or whatever, just leave the tab open, hope you find it helpful to fix your clock format 🫡💪🏻 ....oh I almost forget, if u don't wanna see the notification then go to settings and block all the notifications of the app. If u have any questions feel free to ask me 👋🏻☺️ it sucks to have that huge clock covering up ur beautiful wallpaper :(
I just realized if u leave a notification on lock screen the clock goes to upper left in normal format and size. I'm gonna leave my notifications as often as I can...

I click on display and then lock screen but my phone literally does not have that option. I'm using the exact same phone as you and the exact same Android version. There is no option in this phone to change my lock screen version or disable it and it's driving me nuts. I absolutely cannot stand this giant lock screen clock and also the pull-down settings menu is ugly AF.
They removed the option on Oxy OS 12 on my One Plus 8. They have completely destroyed the reason I bought this phone by removing simple options like this. They also remove the option to disable the left swipe to google discovery. smh I'm sure this will be my last 1+ phone

Get a launcher! U can change the entire feel and look of your phone to whatever u like. It's one of the best parts to owning an Android :).

I'm not understanding why a 0 is in front of the hour. The minutes below are ignorant as well. Looking at the phone upside down you can't tell what the time is. I first believed the month had changed. If it's something new to how we are to read time you would think we would have a option to change it back? 05

Great update guys; Now I get a retarded clock by default; and can't switch it back! Just what I always wanted.

Didn't work the clock is still being displayed.
You can now turn off that double-line clock.
Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Double-line clock (5 items down from 'Lock screen')
Just toggle that off and it's done! :)

What was Nokia thinking? Why do they force us to be looking at that horrid thing? Didn't work for me on my Nokia because I don't have "Always show time and info." I hate this phone for a lot of reasons. This is one of them.

How to disable that clock on display....I'm not getting that disable option in settings.
if you mean those big clock on lockscreen, if you want them to look small go to settings then display then lockscreen then scroll down and turn off double lined clock!
