Yup, and it's bs cause I have a fkn PS4 pro got it with Red Dead 2 in 2018. Just got a ps3 again to play Red Dead 1 and I can't even sign in to my old account, so I made a new one. And even then I can't sign in.

Because I use my phone as a connection. Locally, my data is updated today but I may have to change your IDI appreciate your help. Yes, it's like it magically worked.

Like the one time device set up password from PlayStation.com and the need for two step verification activation to be on. @emmah :D hello. The March 2022 update was called 4.89. If you have this update then all you need to do is go to your sign in screen on PS3 and use your usual email the one that you used all along. From there the password field would be useless for entering all your old passwords-after the update all it wants is a one time device set up passcode instead of your passwords.My video describes showing people to go to playstation.com to retrieve a one time device set up password to use in the password field of their PS3. It only needs to be done once, but for this you need access to your playstation.com account including sign in and password for that website, if you have too much trouble signing into playstation.com or accessing your account there which is what you really really need at some point, calling Sony USA can be helpful. You wouldn’t be asking them about PS3 it would be about your PlayStation account, and you would want them to help you remember or reset your passwords. They can do this but they require that you give them something from your original PlayStation account your online gamer ID or email address for your security and theirs. They may be able to help you reset your original account passwords. If not, I suppose you could create a new account. That may actually work… But please don’t give up these are the options I can think of and if you manage to reset or start a new account then please remember what I have said here and come back when it’s time to get a one time device set up pass code. Either way you should have some success. I wish you the best of luck, i’m here to help and I usually respond quickly to questions.🍀🍀

Live saver I deleted my acount then tried to resign in thinking tha would fixing but all it did was make lose access to all my games till I found this video I thought i was fucked. Legend
No matter what I try nothing works for me part of it is me being mentally disabled and low knowledge of this stuff so before the update it worked fine,now it seems to not recognize my email address and sign in ID and password it seems my email cuz of links but what I'm stuck on is is my email address the sign in ID or not cuz I tried both and it doesn't recognize them I tried the chat with support I have the same thing so it will help if they would explain it if CAPS are needed or not so is that it cuz my email is all lowercase but on PS3 where the section shows friends blocked etc my username or sign in ID is CAPS so is that it,I'm also having trouble with security to verify my identity and I know I did it right another issue is it won't send the reset links because it shows playstation network is down for I can't spell it starts with M like they are updating site I googled it and it's working fine and is running fine so what's the cause of my issues and what I hate is they make it so difficult to do anything when it comes to security so something needs to change so players like me that have disability won't have a difficult time to do things

@Eric P Hello. You ask a good question. Since the email you use is the one that’s tied to your PSN account and playstation.com (it would be important to be able to access that email for an eventual reset link). If that email can’t be accessed and the email itself can’t be remembered. And the password associated with PSN is also forgotten. Well there’s steps you can do to recover it! You definitely want to be able to retain information like purchases, synchronized trophies etc. so before creating a new account I would advise this. Go to playstation.com or PSN as they call it >scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says support and click on that >then there’s several issues you can choose from including forgot email and password? There’s also a chat with live agent button on the bottom right hand corner. >Chatting with a live agent and explaining the situation can be the best way to recover an account even if you don’t have access to any of the information above. What they Will ask you for as some other information that they need to help verify your account . For example date of birth or the MAC address for the PS3 Device that’s registered. Or even your online Sony ID(that’s the handle people make for themselves when they’re online) you can chat with them but they would require any of these or more to reset your account. Chatting with a live agent is the best option here. But this is when the email and password have been forgotten and you must answer something like a security question as well but only you would know the answer to. Try this before creating a new account. The live agent would tell you if they can help you or not. They require info for security . If this does not work then the only option is creating a new one. But try talking to a live agent(chatting) first. It may pan out for you. In this case it doesn’t hurt to ask an agents help with an account you’re locked out of. Be aware of random security questions though. You should try because nobody wants to lose their purchases and screenshots etc.! Best of luck to you. 🍀

No matter what I try nothing works for me part of it is me being mentally disabled and low knowledge of this stuff so before the update it worked fine,now it seems to not recognize my email address and sign in ID and password it seems my email cuz of links but what I'm stuck on is is my email address the sign in ID or not cuz I tried both and it doesn't recognize them I tried the chat with support I have the same thing so it will help if they would explain it if CAPS are needed or not so is that it cuz my email is all lowercase but on PS3 where the section shows friends blocked etc my username or sign in ID is CAPS so is that it,I'm also having trouble with security to verify my identity and I know I did it right another issue is it won't send the reset links because it shows playstation network is down for I can't spell it starts with M like they are updating site I googled it and it's working fine and is running fine so what's the cause of my issues and what I hate is they make it so difficult to do anything when it comes to security so something needs to change so players like me that have disability won't have a difficult time to do things
@chris crane Hello.Basically my video shows using the familiar email in PS3 sign in field,but after update 4.89 came the need for a one time device set up code to enter in that password field,instead of your usual password.Then needing to go to PlayStation.com & Sign in there…(for a 1 time device set up code)requires password +email But,resetting one of those is easy “I say from experience from “Calling Sony USA(phone can be googled)If one of the two Password or email they can help reset.But not both, happened to me!I had to create a new account.So reset links are kept secure by Sony by allowing one or the other to be reset for your PlayStation.com account sign in,not both unfortunately.(A the time I was told this, I Had to create a new account.If needed a fresh account that’s accessible may make things fully functional again).Sorry I’m so wordy but true that Sony will reset email OR password (from experience 😮)..sometimes creating a new one is the only option.When I wasn’t allowed to reset both,they told me.A new account would have to be created on PC or smartphone.PS3 console is not capable of that.Wishing you luck 🍀

My brother and I have shared a PSN account on our PS3 for years but he forgot the password and doesn’t have access to that email anymore. Is it possible to switch emails and passwords?
@Eric P Hello. You ask a good question. Since the email you use is the one that’s tied to your PSN account and playstation.com (it would be important to be able to access that email for an eventual reset link). If that email can’t be accessed and the email itself can’t be remembered. And the password associated with PSN is also forgotten. Well there’s steps you can do to recover it! You definitely want to be able to retain information like purchases, synchronized trophies etc. so before creating a new account I would advise this. Go to playstation.com or PSN as they call it >scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says support and click on that >then there’s several issues you can choose from including forgot email and password? There’s also a chat with live agent button on the bottom right hand corner. >Chatting with a live agent and explaining the situation can be the best way to recover an account even if you don’t have access to any of the information above. What they Will ask you for as some other information that they need to help verify your account . For example date of birth or the MAC address for the PS3 Device that’s registered. Or even your online Sony ID(that’s the handle people make for themselves when they’re online) you can chat with them but they would require any of these or more to reset your account. Chatting with a live agent is the best option here. But this is when the email and password have been forgotten and you must answer something like a security question as well but only you would know the answer to. Try this before creating a new account. The live agent would tell you if they can help you or not. They require info for security . If this does not work then the only option is creating a new one. But try talking to a live agent(chatting) first. It may pan out for you. In this case it doesn’t hurt to ask an agents help with an account you’re locked out of. Be aware of random security questions though. You should try because nobody wants to lose their purchases and screenshots etc.! Best of luck to you. 🍀

@ Redzzder Hello, without having a PS Vita myself I've never transferred from PS3. A lot of games I've purchased at PSN were also compatible with PS3/Vita, but I'm not very familiar with the subject of PS3 to Vita transfer to begin with, sorry about that. Thanks .
