you guys have got it a bit wrong though, the lack of promotion for the Japanese releses is not actually SM fault... In fact SM don't own the Japanese releses, but they are owned by the Japanese distributor who only cares about distributing it in Japan. Apparently Japanese law prevents foreign companies to work in Japan so to release anything the Kpop groups have to sign with a Japanese entertainment company and I supposes they have some kind of deal with SM about revenue. Basically this is why it is so hard to get a hold of any of the japanese stuff and also why you can't even find some of the mv's and certainltly not any of the album songs on youtube since the J-companies are much stricter with copyright. Basically SM have no power over how the Japanese songs are promoted and distributed, and the Japanese company only care about the Japanese market.
