I love to see you so close to paying off your debt. Don’t be too hard on yourself about the savings. I KNOW you will build it back so much more easily when you are officially debt free! Love to see the positive net worth, too 🎉
Congratulations on your TH-cam October payout. I hope watching older videos contributes to that. I was really trying to get myself in the mindset of budgeting, and your playlist are very helpful because I could listen to them in the background during the day.
I actually have one - it was posted in April 2021 I think and its one of my most popular videos. I am thinking of doing a new video like that for 2024 🥰
Glad to hear you are still planning a family dinner to thank everyone that helped you on your debt-free journey. I’m sure they will enjoy it and be happy for you to have reached your goal. Perhaps you could use your $700 a month debt payment towards that. Since you won’t need it in January!
Exactly! There's a local steakhouse that my family loves which is very nice, so I'm 99% sure we'll go there. I don't think it will be the full $700 but I assume probably in the $300 range. Definitely expensive for one meal, but more than worth it 🥰
As far as sinking funds go, I’ve been thinking about that as well. I have a list of all of our intermittent expenses we have throughout a year, property tax, vehicle registration, propane, really anything that happens once a year, and I plan to have a budget line item to save up for those bills that I know will be coming up. However, other sinking funds, such as Christmas or saving for a new car or a new refrigerator, even new tires, since that’s not every year etc., I think I need to do separately. How are you separating those yourself?
I wish I had been more caught up on comments but I didn't necessarily think about a sinking fund for new tires - although I did get new ones semi-recently. I probably need to separate them, but tbh once I have a full emergency fund of $12,000 - I could always use that for something like a large tire expense. A new car is likely something I would need to finance, but by the time I do need one hopefully I will be in a better financial situation.
Amelia this is so awesome! Well done honestly!
You are doing amazing, don’t dwell on what could have been, you have come so incredibly far so don’t diminish that. Very inspiring. 💕
Thanks Deidre 🥰
Amelia, thank you for sharing your updates. I really enjoyed your daily videos for the updates on November.
I'm glad you like them Rachel 🥰

Thank you Tracey 🥰
Love the set-up in the bullet journal, could you do a flip through to help others set one up and see how you budget? x
