I've seen a few reactors who know production say the same thing. They're still thrilled with Jimin's vocals, as we all are, but they wished out loud that there wasn't so much of the effect used. Still, he slayed the vocals, the choreo, the visual and the entire performing and film team did as well. This is my song of the summer! I think I'm not the only one. BTS uses electronic modulation (I don’t call it autotune because what people think it means, it isn’t used for) a lot. SUGA in particular uses it heavily. Jimin tends to use it for artistic effect in telling the story with the music. His Set Me Free pt 2, which is an art piece, has tons of it in certain places that I believe was used to changed his vocal tone to represent the different voices in his head based on what he’s said the song is about. I think they used it here because of the style of the music. It was part of the sound of that retro feel. The hate he gets is intense and people just love to pull out the autotune to support their story about how he can’t sing, which is why it’s a bit of a sensitive topic for some of us. Otherwise, I enjoyed your reaction digging into the meaning of the song. Art is open to interpretation and Jimin and RM and other members of BTS have said that they like to leave it open for the audience’s imagination.

Well said. I don’t know if Korean other bands love use it or just BTS. But every time I heard people say auto-tune stuff. I’m a bit pissed. Come on, the electronic machine is created for use. I personally do not like bland country songs similar stuff.
@@macadamialove1013 there are plenty of Korean artists and groups who don't use such a strong effect. There are many artists in the west who use it because they can't sing as well or they lack an interesting tone/vocal texture. It's overused and to many people, including myself, it can be an unpleasant sound. I am not ashamed to say I strongly prefer hearing the real, distinct voice of an artist. Especially in cases like this where I know I'm missing out on the uniqueness of his voice.
An excellent analysis. This song tops every other song out there right now for me. I've been enjoying it so much. It reminds me of Miley Cyrus' 'flowers' of last year. When I heard it the first few times, I felt that it was a very familiar tune, but beautiful and interesting. Her vocals were spectacular. I knew it was a banger and a couple of weeks later, it was all over the place. This song reminds me of a very similar feeling. Familiar and interesting tune, with superb vocals, interesting dancing, and a story the song wants to tell. Jimin's vocal prowess really shines in this song. His falsetto is out of this world. The last album FACE was all so good, but this song also is so much fun to enjoy it repeatedly.

I love your analysis! It was so cool that you noticed all the choices made in choreography, and how it totally told a story. Some people just get blown away from Jimin's voice and looks which are spectacular, too. But it is so great that you spent time talking about the story being told.
The video is overflowing with references to the other members. Closer is from Jimin's song, Closer Than This and the text on the other side of the sign is a line from that song, a song for ARMY. The street that Jimin is on is the street that JK is on at the end of his Seven video. The store, Slow Dance Records, is a reference to V's song, Slow Dancing. All of the stuff on fire could be a reference to J-Hope's song, Arson. There are six male dancers, so, with Jimin, a total of seven guys dancing. And one of the promotional photos of Jimin for this new album, Muse, has a number 7 on his boot. I'm certain that there are more, but those are the ones that I caught.
This is what Jimin wants. He lets our artistic mind works, creates a story. He makes choreographies that interprets the lyrics that even if you dont understand korean you can picture what he wants to say. Hes a Contemporary top of his class that can be clearly seen in all his dance choreos.

@@ladeelibra925 he's not blocked out, you can still see him. I do this for all of my videos with a template, and almost nobody complains. I can try to remember to remove it for BTS but I forget. Some ARMYs seem to still enjoy my videos or value my opinion/analysis but my channel isn't for everyone I guess. I do really appreciate you giving me a chance though!

@@ladeelibra925 he's not blocked out, you can still see him. I do this for all of my videos with a template, and almost nobody complains. I can try to remember to remove it for BTS but I forget. Some ARMYs seem to still enjoy my videos or value my opinion/analysis but my channel isn't for everyone I guess. I do really appreciate you giving me a chance though!

its a nice song and we know he can sing but I didn't like that the whole song he had autotune or whatever effect they put on his voice, it sounded weird to me, but its a nice song.
Idk where I say this in my video but I did comment on that too. He doesn't need it, it was a production choice so I also wish I could hear his actual voice more.
