"pangs" are feelings you get when something you do on a regular basis that give you relief or pleasure is denied or prevented from happening. example: hunger pangs are the feeling you get when you do not eat.

This one also, however, was one of the most extensive rewrites I've ever seen Joss do. After I turned the draft, he noticed a structural problem, which is rare on this show...we usually don't touch structure after a script has gone to draft. Anyway, there was a problem in that Act Three didn't really advance the story. So he started rewriting at that point... much of Acts Three and Four are pure Joss, not me.

11:01 The argument between Giles and Willow is a depiction of the conflict within Buffy with Buffy stuck in the middle.
Giles, Willow and Xander are metaphorical representations of aspects of Buffy's personality.
Giles is Buffy's /mind/intellect.
Xander is Buffy's love/heart.
Willow is Buffy's spirit/conscience.
Buffy's conscience is telling her to deal with the Native American spirit demon in a way that won't make her feel bad.
Buffy's mind tells her she needs to kill the spirit demon to prevent more deaths.
Seems that Angel really digs the theme song from _A Series of Unfortunate Events_ - "Walk away, walk away / Walk away, walk away, ..."
By neat coincedence, this video came out on Thanksgiving in Canada. Cool!

It's funny to watch people watch Buffy episodes they never seen. I was 11 when Buffy first came out lol
The worst thing the writers could do? Are you sure, sweetheart? *EVIL LAUGH..... AND CRIE*
The moral debate created by the plot of the episode is fascinating, a warrior spirit who seeks a just revenge for his people, but killing people without blame for that tragedy. The positions of Giles and Willow reflect well the dilemma lived by Buffy, she on the one hand empathizes with the Native Americans and would like to stop their protector in a peaceful way, on the other she wants to eliminate him to save innocent lives; a reconfirmation of how the members of the gang each represent a side of the protagonist in their own way.
Spike filled with arrows and Domi's trepidation for the Bangel are the highligts of episode XD
No one ever talks about Xander and how unlucky he is. I feel bad for him.
Quite the ep to post on Indigenous People’s Day.
As hilarious as this one is it’s probably the most politically/racially problematic ep since the death of Mr Trick. Basically the writers want credit for the views expressed by Willow, but their real POV is the one expressed by Spike.
Hey, you've got an episode where everybody attacks the JEWISH girl for being opposed to GENOCIDE. What could go wrong with THAT?

Pangs the name of the episode refers to the feeling of yearning, wanting or desire for something that you really want but haven't got. Don't give up your desire for a Bangel reunion! Overall it's not a great episode best part is the dinner scene at the end when Xander says just like old times with Angel being here.

Best Angel episode on Buffy.
"Pangs" - typically used in association with hunger. Also often associated with a general feeling of pain. I don't know the etymology, but I have a suspicion that the words "pang" and "pain" come from the same (or at least related) root.

I like the idea of Angel trying to secretly protect Buffy, but I think this was a weird time. Aren't the spirits invincible except by their own knives? I know it looked like he took out a few, but isn't that a fluke?
I get that this is a Thankgiving episode and that is has to be where it is to crossover with Angel but it does seem that Willow is completely fine about Oz leaving apart from one throwaway line. She's back to being devastated by it next episode.
The comedy is gold around a very unfunny part of history.
Given your passion for Bangel I would advise putting some newspapers down before you watch the next ep of Angel.
I already did a quick check on her patreon and she's on buffy 4x13 so I imagine she's been watched the next angel episode.

No! The next episode is is Angel 08. Why does no one watch this in the right order!?
She is, she's following a guide that has the proper order, and she says in the video she's watching Angel 1x08 right after, followed by Buffy 4x09.
It can be confusing though because she usually announces the title of the next Buffy episode at the end, but it doesn't mean there won't be an Angel episode in between.

Unless the guide is saying one Buffy one Angel (It was writen as a matched pair to be viewed Tues night, Wed night) then a lot of the dramatic timing is lost, including the underlying post relationship themes. Of course Joss bit off more than he could chew and dumped the idea (mostly) for the remaining seasons. cheers.
I went to google it and the definition came up immediately, but I also type the word definition after the word I am looking for the definition of when I am doing that.
In the last episode domi e got hyped for Buffy and Angel interacting. I personally love the fact that Angel crossed over and had no interaction with Buffy. I think it was a clever idea. He has his own show now so it was a perfect metaphor. And on top of that Angel's situation that he explains to Giles was a perfect parallel for how Spike is in the episode's beginning. Also, Angel walking away is 100% in character.
Both Willow and Buffy seem to lose sight of the being thankful part of Thanksgiving. I am glad the last scene brought it back to that as that is the point.
"What's he like when he is evil" is my favorite line of the episode. Anya may have seen Angel in Dopplegangland (and perhaps even arguably even in _The Wish_ episode), but this is the first time she understands him and meets him personally. And he still didn't talk to her directly.

The moment gave me a chuckle the first time, but it doesn't get me too often on repeats. Don't know why. Perhaps its because the bear (and especially the "bear hug" it gives Buffy) seems over-the-top even for BtVS. I don't really know.
Harmony and Spike aren't meant to be a fun couple. He is using her to forget Drusilla and it has been toxic from the start.
I always saw the beginning of Spike's redemption story start when he helped Buffy in _Becoming Part 2,_ but he had a long way to go and still has a long way to go.
