Will the UK EVER GET a 300FT COASTER??

- In 2024 the HEIGHT RECORD will be beaten in the UK by Project Exodus at Thorpe Park, but only by a small amount. Will we ever see in future a 300FT coaster come to the UK?? Could we see it at the likes of Thorpe Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach or even Flamingo Land?? Who knows, but today I will be speculating all about where we might see the first 300FT coaster in the country, along with what it could be!

I would love to see a 300ft+ coaster at lego land it would perfectly fit in with the other rides you could maybe put it in the duplo valley it would be the most amazing addition to the park

Imagine if RMC got its mitts on the BIG ONE (they do say that they will convert metal coasters if given the chance) they could increase the lift hill by a smidge (to beat project exodus) slap a few inversions and barrell rolls, have a crazy hangtime on that massive turnaround bank and we'd all be fighting each other to get through the doors of Pleasure beach
I went on Leviathan a couple of months ago at Canada's Wonderland and it was AMAZING. Blows all the UK coasters out of the water. Seriously, if UK parks want to have 'elite' or 'world class' level coasters they need to start thinking about breaking the 300+ft barrier
Agreed but the issue is spacing all the current big theme park hardly have space but what these lot need to do is open another park and start a new to break records.
All the biggest parks have no space and/or restrictions and all the small family parks are in the middle of nowhere with bags of space

I think the Orion concept is the most probable. And it would probably go to Thorpe Park Or Flamingoland, Or Merlin could suprise us and make one at alton towers and dig 250 ft into the ground!

The thing is, our parks are either too small to house a giga, and if they're big enough they either have a height limit, or they can't afford one. Which is probs why we'll never get one. Unless lightwater turns round and gives us the Ultimate 2.0 😅😅
I am sure you will, we here in the US had to ask for a very long time if we would ever get a coaster with more than 7 inversions - It happened ... eventually

This triggered a memory in me of when I was a teen coaster enthusiast in the early 2000s and Blackpool Pleasure Beach was rumoured to be getting an Intamin Strata Accelerator. I kept on checking on the internet for updates for years but alas nothing came of it.
Woah just imagine if this had really happened. Would've changed the UK coaster scene practically overnight

Looking at Exodus, the elements look very intresting, but after watching the concept ride....i was wondering where the second half of the ride is!! Cant see Thorpe Breaking the 300ft barrier!

I did see an RMC on London today, sadly it was a letting agent. Getting my hopes up like that.

RMC actually announced they'll be making a 750ft replica of The Smiler at Adventure Island.

Thorpe Park DID have plans to build a Giga ard 2003. I’m sure you’ll find the information about it somewhere.
Perfect edition 2 Guliver's world if u ask me. Lots of room in the surrounding fields. The rides have been getting abit lackluster or even, there i say it, childish. It really needs some persaz. You never know, mabye rmc could convert Antelope but just add a tophat coz why not
Easiest way to do it is literally just re-track stealth. Job done
And put the reverse spike in like there doing with Top Thrill Dragster!! Could deffinatly see that!!
I recon black pool kicks back at thorpe and goes 240. and then thorpe replaces stealth with a zamperla tophat gigga with a longer layout like accelerator
Let’s face it, paultons park is getting a 400ft RMC next year themed to daddy pig and that’s gonna be the tallest in the uk.

I do think we will get a giga but I doubt it will be thorpe. Especially after exodus. I'd say thrill woodie on swarm island or possibly an rmc raptor there
The uk is praying for a coaster over 300ft whilst my country (Kuwait) is praying for one decent coaster

Flamingo Land would be the only place with space and can build that high. But I don’t think they could afford a B&M. Maybe give Vekoma a shot.

The foundations for already been built in Blackpool for the big just under the big one across the road from the big one will see the foundations for already placed

Actually Blackpool flat out lies about the height of The Big One” it’s only 213’ tall and has a maximum elevation of 235’ above sea level (which is the number that they advertise as the structural height)
So Project Exodus is actually 23’ taller not just 1’

The big one is 213ft high. Project exodus is 23ft or 701cm or 7.01m or 7.66 yds or 276 inches.... 276 inches!!! higher , I mean who wouldnt want that ?
Personally I don't think so. Thorpe Park have Exodus coming up, Alton Towers can't build above tree height, & I think Blackpool wanna keep the Big One.
I would like to see a Thorpe Park RMC though, something a mix of Steel Vengeance & Iron Rattler, but not over 300ft. Also a new Sonic The Hedgehog themed land replacing Angry Birds Land would be so cool seeing as that's outdated now
As for Alton Towers, they should get an RMC Raptor, & a B&M Dove Coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The most unexpected park could probably get a 300ft+ coaster, Flamingo Land probably. If Fun Spot Atlanta can get ArieForce One then anything is possible

And to hold the UK height record for 30 years is still hell of an accomplishment
no we won't, locals complained about stealths original planned height, and realistically unless flamingo land or Blackpool pleasure beach get one then thorpe was the only other option, Alton simply can't, Chessington won't because it doesn't fit the target audience.
In all honesty i don't think a taller or faster roller coaster is a good idea i would much rather see areas and rides like Rookburgh or fly then just making a ride 30ft taller heavy themeing is what i crave
Realistically we’ll never get one in the foreseeable future- flamingo land doesn’t have the budget, Thorpe won’t want to break their own record (plus they had enough trouble getting permission for exodus, and the council and environmental agency in this country just look for reasons not to build anything 😢
