That was exactly when I knew the show was going to suck. And not even for the "Save money" aspect. No the we have a major character, and you remove her power in the first episode. And that is a series long depowering, because how are you going to grow hair that long back. Without it seeming like backpedaling.
It was a film that did the best it could to give the series a satisfying conclusion. It was inevitable that it would have to make some IMO kinda forced and rushed decisions (like the origin of the Reavers being a bioweapon - I thought their origin in the series was more interesting) but all things considered, it was a damn good ending. Not a spinoff lol
I forgive that label because Whedon et al tried to separate it from the series by CALLING it Serenity, in the vague hope of someone seeing it and thinking it would make a good show, then "Well, good news, we already have a show!" and it getting picked up. Would have been nice if it worked, except for the characters they wouldn't have been able to bring into renewed episodes... Not technically a spin-off but the intentional separation lets me forgive this particular mistake. :)
The Sarah Connor Chronicles, though downgraded, was still the best Terminator product since the T2. Firefly was Fox’s worst decision, from likely hit for multiple seasons to a “could’ve been”…just sad.
should go look at the produciton order vs episode order of Too Human on fox a few years back they so badly got those episodes out of order it made the characters personalities seem like a slot machine
@@malbi885 I do not get Fox's absolute obsession with airing shows out of production order. They did it with Enlisted too, and it was so bad that one of the main characters is suddenly in a relationship with someone, and then a few episodes later meets that person for the first time. No wonder why so many Fox shows get cancelled after one season when their TV Execs care so little about a show's continuity.
While I' disagree with Sarah Connor Chronicles being the best post T2 Terminator I think it was second best behind Salvation in live action form. Ever since I first watched T2 at a childhood friend's house when I was eight (shortly before his mom realized he knew where the key to the R-rated movie case was hidden) what I wanted most from the franchise was more Machine War content. The only thing that pissed me off about the series was it being scrapped before season three.

The handling of Firefly should have caused people to lose their jobs. Not because the show was great but because the handling was so grossly incompetent. If you can't handle something as simple as the order the episodes should air, then you should never be allowed to handle a higher profile, big budget show.
A. Fox was not "mystified" about why the fans couldn't connect to Firefly. They were actively looking for an excuse to cancel it and the order was one of the many things they were trying. B. As for the idea that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is no longer canon; canon becomes relative the second that you introduce a multiverse. Which the Terminator franchise has now done at least five times. 1.Terminator 2 introduced a future where Judgement Day happened later than it would have in the future from Terminator. 2.Sarah Connor Chronicles had characters that knew each other in the future having lived through different events because they came from different futures. 3. In Terminator Genisys even they past was different than it was in previous entries in the franchise. 4.Terminator Dark Fate introduced a future where someone other than John Connor was the leader of the human revolution and Skynet was no longer the AI overlord. 5. In summation, the Terminator franchise has always been a multiverse and therefor everything in it is canon.
Just gonna point out, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles actually IS still technically canon, as James Cameron said that time travel in the Terminator universe works on the multiverse theory, where time travel creates an alternate parallel universe. TSCC exists in one of those alternate realities/universes.

NBCs Chicago PD killed it for me as soon as they started killing off Al and Nadia. Later, Jon Seda, who played Antonio, left in addition to Sophia Bush, who played Lindsey, left the show. Its time for a change.
This list just goes to show that Fox has never been good at knowing a good thing till its gone. If you make a part 2 list I would recommend Dollhouse, or maybe any show that stars Eliza Dushku. The Blacklist. From the first season a lot of viewers wished Elizabeth Keen would be written out of the show. I don’t know if it was down to the character being difficult to portray, or if Megan Boone just didn’t suit the character well at all.
8:34 Limiting violence and especially nudity is a thing for all broadcast channels to the point where movies are often heavily edited. Not sure why the narrator has a beef with Fox specifically for this when every public broadcast channels do this. Perhaps they could have aired it on Sci-Fi (or is it still the awful rebranded SYFY?) channel, but it's still limited in what they can show as well.
Agree with the assessments on Sarah Connor Chronicles. Great premise, well cast, could have been truly great, but as I recall, there was a writer's strike right about the same time as season one, and it would be neat to know how it would have developed on HBO or Netflix.
So the only show I have watched on this list was CSI…I often wondered about Holly’s character, she was so green, it would have been interesting to see how her character would develop 🤷🏻♀️ At the same time, it really put Warrick into his own little drama throughout _his_ tenure (all the shady stuff by the sheriff, undersheriff, judge, etc). And yes, Sara was by far the most irritating…every time someone left the show, I was like “take her with you!” The show really should have ended when Grissom left. I still watched, but it really wasn’t the same after that, no matter how much I like Ted Danson (not a fan of Laurence Fishburne)
And it also contributed to how uneven season two of TNG was. Shades of Grey was just a clip show. Not a great way to end season two going into season three
100% the best thing about Inhumans was Lockjaw, it was because of him that i got a bulldog called Lola. The only thing i found annoying about Sarah Connor chronicals was he fact they cut it mid season, rather than just letting thatseason play out and then canning it. It had just started getting to the good point of the story and BOOM it was gone.

ehm, no, from the first episode it was good. Of course it didn't show what the show would become, the characters and history building takes time necessarily. That doesn't deminish the first season.
After coming from the campy movie, I couldn’t get into it. It wasn’t what I went into it looking for but, I know the standard was good enough to become a juggernaut though. I just always preferred the silliness of the movie.
1st 2 seasons were my favorite originally when rob Dehotel & Dean Batali were head writers before they left to do that 70s show.1st 2 seasons of Buffy set up more like supernatural type mystery series.Afyer they brought back Angel in season 3 sort turned into a D&D type series. But in the years since season 6 has really grown on me.Loved Dead things from that season.
I didn't mind the Rose's personalities in the first season, they were meant to be insufferable selfish people that anyone could tell would learn from losing everything and starting over in the middle of nowhere. Now, the first season I HATED the Roland Schitt's personality, he was so over the top and gross. I'm glad they reeled him in a bit as the show went on.
The aired out of order happened to many series. Leverage one of them. They think "show wouldnt be hit" so they put "better episodes" in early so that viewers like the show.
Schitt's Creek got worse as the Roses were softened up; seriously, no attempt was made to do this to AbFab or The IT Crowd, and every season of those shows were great. Comedy is cruel; you don't have to make everything turn into the American version of The Office.
I never liked Parks and Recreation. At all. Reason why was that damn Soda Tax episode. That one triggered me so much that I was thinking about making a petition to have that show removed from syndications completely.
What are you talking about. S2 of Next Gen was by far the worst. Even the cast and crew have been very clear about this and the reasons why. Do some research. S1 was also loved out the gate by fans of the original and had probably the strongest first-season episodes of any show of it's era.
Agents of SHIELD needs to be on this list. Most of the first season was terrible and infuriating until the twist. And then it was just bad. But totally agree with ST:TNG, that would never get a a second season without the name.
Respectfully disagree, the first season of AGENTS, waiting for the twist was like riding up the first hill of a roller coaster, besides knowing what's coming, Absorbing Man & Lorelei vs Sif the only good part of that era is seeing Chloe's sexy abs
@cameronhermann9400 Terrigenesis having been done in AGENTS and then not knowing whether it was going to be a movie or miniseries sort of crippled it on top of Maximus coming off as a more relatable villain than Blackbolt
@@patrickdoyle6201 In AOS all of the inhumans had real powers that had practical value. In Inhumans the series, everyone was getting excited over useless decorative fairy wings.
Yeah so I gave up binging The Next Gen after the first few episodes so I just watched the Borg episodes and highlights. Whereas DS9 is one I enjoyed watching all the way through but given the number of episodes that felt like filler, and the prophet arc which I felt took time away from the Dominion storyline. It's probably one I'd only rewatch highlight episodes.
I watched the first two episodes ST:TNG and did not watch it again until late in the second season and that was under duress. The first season was really mediocre and I don't think I ever did watch all the first or second season...Maybe some day I will. Maybe but not today.😁
The Inhumans comic books were quite fun but Marvel killed it for television or movies. It's gonna take a while to get the bad taste out of people's mouths.

If you said the whole first season wasn’t received badly, you’d have been accurate. Wrong. Be right because being wrong while saying someone is wrong is awkward and not a good look for someone who must be at least middle aged. For you to think you remembered it.
"Schitt's Creek" was a great show from the very first second! "Friends", on the other hand was just absolute garbage from the very beginning. "Firefly" is perhaps the greatest "what could have been" in TV history. It was a great show, great actors, great concept; just horribly marketed.
Smallville. The acting was so rough in the beginning. Not sure that ever actually improved, but the stories were good enough most the time to keep me watching.
The reason why I never watched Firefly on TV was because the first episode was a boring train robbery which meant it was a western and not a sci-fi show. If I had known, I would've kept on watching but that was the absolute worse decision from Fox executives. I know many people who did not watch it for the same reasons.
I liked the INHUMANS in the comics and remember when Medusa was part of the FF. When I saw clips that they were going to shave her head and the 'royal' family was banished I decided not to watch it. Mostly after SHIELD brought in the term Inhumans for a bunch of Brotherhood of Mutants wannabees.
Wrong. Today it’s seen as a cult classic, when airing, there were a lot of issues from viewers. You just enjoyed it. Whedon has consistently said, if sales are good, serenity will have a sequel and the fan base won’t get big enough for it to happen. The fans are just obsessive and that’s amazing but let’s not pretend they made a mark. Critically it’s done well, the putting in different order, made it confusing to people who wasn’t sure what to expect. You keep living in that sweet little passive aggressive world though.
Schitts creek was funny right away, I dont know what culture is talking about. Iron Fist should have hired Lewis Tan. Finn played a minor character on GoT with almost no lines. Terminator was amazing immediately.
Using 24 as an example of FOX being strict on violence is a bit of an odd choice. The number of brutal deaths and straight torture scenes throughout its run makes it one of the most violent shows I've seen on broadcast TV.
You didn’t listen to what he said. He didn’t say there was no violent scenes. They said Fox limited the amount of violent scenes. That means they were allowed to have them. Just not a gore fest.
@kirstybrown1185 and if you look at the amount of violence in 24 compared to other shows on broadcast TV at the time, 24 was much worse. Using 24 as an example of a network being strict on violence is one of the worst examples they could have used.

She seems to always get the short end of the stick.
And if you haven't done this list of Good shows/series that should've been canceled Sooner.
Thank you keep the good work.
Amazon’s Wheel of Time. As soon as they suggested a woman could be the Dragon Reborn I knew they writers either didn’t know the world or just didn’t care
Itz upDaTed 4 tHe modErN auDieNces.🤪🤡
In all seriousness, it's because of the wokeness that's infected Hollywood that believe there is no differences between men and women.
Any show that already starts with some pretentious quote will do it for me. 😂
The Malloy's Were a Cheap Dollar Store Bundy Family Unhappily Ever After and unlike The Parent 'Hood The WB's riff on The Cosby Show Ron Leavitt co-creator of Married With Children actually made this show which was more of a Spoof than a MWC ripoff
If CSI kept Holly, I wouldn't have watched it for almost its entire run. Sara > Holly.
The Blacklist. From the first season a lot of viewers wished Elizabeth Keen would be written out of the show. I don’t know if it was down to the character being difficult to portray, or if Megan Boone just didn’t suit the character well at all.
Allen Gregory was a show that was hated from start to finish, which is why it was cancelled so quickly.
First show on the list is Schitt's Creek. That show was amazing
And yes, Sara was by far the most irritating…every time someone left the show, I was like “take her with you!”
The show really should have ended when Grissom left. I still watched, but it really wasn’t the same after that, no matter how much I like Ted Danson (not a fan of Laurence Fishburne)
A lot of people forgot there was a writers strike during the first season of STNG. That contributed a lot to the rocky start.
And it also contributed to how uneven season two of TNG was. Shades of Grey was just a clip show. Not a great way to end season two going into season three
2:40 thats a terrible excuse. If you had went to training, 15 minutes is more than enough.
There's a video on Fox's executives many terrible decisions, of which Firefly and Sarah Connor Chronicles are only two.
I like how you left off The Acolyte amd Rings of Power....
100 percent intentional shenanigans!
And Wheel of Time
100% the best thing about Inhumans was Lockjaw, it was because of him that i got a bulldog called Lola.
The only thing i found annoying about Sarah Connor chronicals was he fact they cut it mid season, rather than just letting thatseason play out and then canning it. It had just started getting to the good point of the story and BOOM it was gone.
What's with the abrupt ends on these videos lately?
Remember when WC ended videos with positive affirmations for their audience? Those were the days.
I hate how the ads pop-up in the middle of words
From my understanding, it is analytics of the viewership of the videos and working to maximize those numbers to better perform with the almighty algorithm.
@@LonewolfOfSD I'm just saying that regardless of whether it's a list with numbers or someone talking about their theory like Patton Oswalt, I'd rather the ads that aren't the person themselves be at the beginning & end
@@jamesonp3873 that wasn't really WC in general, that was specifically Jules. I don't remember anyone else doing them
Buffy 1st season was just... okay. It has its little charm but didn't really show what the show was about to become
Gotta disagree was hooked right away
ehm, no, from the first episode it was good.
But in the years since season 6 has really grown on me.Loved Dead things from that season.
i think the mark hate on parks and rec is overblown. he was fine, but the show did hit its stride after he left
I just tried watching Parks and Rec. I got to about the third show and was like why was this popular?
Acolyte should be there for insulting watchers intelligence.
It's not about the worst shows. Nerdrotic just made a video for the current year.
I didn't mind the Rose's personalities in the first season, they were meant to be insufferable selfish people that anyone could tell would learn from losing everything and starting over in the middle of nowhere. Now, the first season I HATED the Roland Schitt's personality, he was so over the top and gross. I'm glad they reeled him in a bit as the show went on.
the following are good shows
TERMINATOR the series
BLADE the series
TIMECOP the series
ROBOCOP 1994 series
The aired out of order happened to many series. Leverage one of them. They think "show wouldnt be hit" so they put "better episodes" in early so that viewers like the show.
I would rather be pissed off than pissed on.
Just sayin'.
Not if the person who pissed off me is 600 pounds. I'll take the yellow rain over breaking my back and knees.
Schitt's Creek got worse as the Roses were softened up; seriously, no attempt was made to do this to AbFab or The IT Crowd, and every season of those shows were great. Comedy is cruel; you don't have to make everything turn into the American version of The Office.
Iron Fist should have been Daughters of the Dragon
I never liked Parks and Recreation. At all. Reason why was that damn Soda Tax episode. That one triggered me so much that I was thinking about making a petition to have that show removed from syndications completely.
I lived Insatiable……didn’t know I was the only one
I thought Schitts creek was terrible until season 3. Shocked how bad the writing was
Schitts Creek was great from the start
The first season wasn’t great but I still enjoyed it
@cameronhermann9400 Terrigenesis having been done in AGENTS and then not knowing whether it was going to be a movie or miniseries sort of crippled it on top of Maximus coming off as a more relatable villain than Blackbolt
@@patrickdoyle6201 In AOS all of the inhumans had real powers that had practical value. In Inhumans the series, everyone was getting excited over useless decorative fairy wings.
@@HariSeldon913 Which INHUMAN had wings?!🤔😹 All the ones I remember were actual characters from the Royal family
Riker didn't have a...what? I can't make out that word.
Beard
Yeah so I gave up binging The Next Gen after the first few episodes so I just watched the Borg episodes and highlights.
Whereas DS9 is one I enjoyed watching all the way through but given the number of episodes that felt like filler, and the prophet arc which I felt took time away from the Dominion storyline. It's probably one I'd only rewatch highlight episodes.
Ill never be able to accept that SCC isnt canon but genisys and dark fate are. Iike wtf!!
I really liked inhumans, guess I was the only one
staton 19, and chicago med/fire. my wife loed all three, and the total lack of reality and accuracy was like nails on a blackboard to me.
T: SCC would’ve been awesome on HBO! But of course, them Lena Heady wouldn’t have been available to do GOT!
Yellowstone, 1883, and 1923. Bad, just completely bad.
What if we did DALLAS and Dynasty without lavish looks and no humor?
There was nothing racist about 'Code of Honor.' Nice try, but ya just ain't foolin' anyone...
Jorja Fox was annoying on ER. Then she came to CSI and was annoying there as well. She's why I consider CSI: MIami the best CSI series.
Wrong. Parks and Rec was great from the start.
Do shows that started off great and immediately went downhill. People sure did love the first season of Glee. No one was watching by the end.
I watched the first two episodes ST:TNG and did not watch it again until late in the second season and that was under duress. The first season was really mediocre and I don't think I ever did watch all the first or second season...Maybe some day I will. Maybe but not today.😁
💩no time stamps guys!!!! not even in the description. come on you can do better guys.💩
You don’t need that hunny. Be better child.
The Inhumans comic books were quite fun but Marvel killed it for television or movies. It's gonna take a while to get the bad taste out of people's mouths.
nothing wrong with Mark.
Firefly was a good series. Fox execs were just being assholes. In regards to ST:TNG, WTF are you even talking about??
Wrong, Star Trek NG was well received from the start.
You don’t remember the angry men like I do when I was a kid. 🤭 my dad and grandad were so angry about the series for the first couple of episodes.
I didn’t even bother with Inhumans. It just looked so poorly done .
Wrong. No one was pissed about Firefly.
Parks and Rec would have beem canceled after 1 season without Chris Pratt.
I never warmed up to Amy Poehler.
Schitts creek was funny right away, I dont know what culture is talking about.
Iron Fist should have hired Lewis Tan. Finn played a minor character on GoT with almost no lines.
Terminator was amazing immediately.
I almost stopped watching Schitts Creek after the first season and I'm sooooooo glad I stuck around it's one of my favorite series ever.
*EVERYONE* in INHUMANS who wants one deserves another chance in the MCU, even if ONLY as helpers to their A-list replacement on the BIG SCREEN
People STILL whining about Iron Fist. Finn had 2 weeks to prepare for the role. And did a damn good job for what he had to work with.
What was his excuse for season 2, then?
Iron Fist was boring. S2 being better than 1 is like saying having 3 fingers cut off in an accident is better than 4. Technically true but still awful
‘Western society’s obsession with thinness’ dude- you sound like a woke NPC.
And u sound really butt hurt by the statement that u assume anyone can sound woke 😂😂😂
You sound easily offended and fragile. Sorry facts hurt your feelings! Tots and pears
It is actually a pretty ignorant statement trying to sound woke. The whole World is obsessed with Thinness just ask some Japanese or Korean Women. Because the Reasons are all the same
Did you watch the credits for insatiable? There was on where you just hear her eating a cake. She talked about emotional eating, and had avoided the cake so far, but at the end she got overwhelmed, and and the screen goes to black.
Iron Fist was a snoozefest. 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
If Marvel reboots Iron Fist, maybe they should casts an Asian actor.
Since Danny Rand is a white Blonde, guy wouldn't that be cultural appropriation?!🤔
Why would they cast an Asian actor when Danny Rand isn't Asian?
Not understanding Schitts Creek being on here...its literally character development. They are supposed to be bad people that grow...yall lazy at this point
