Thanks for sharing that video, iswenyi Art. I was looking for a review on those Cretacolor Hard Pastels, what do you think about them? I wanted to start with pastels but im from Brazil and we don't have many options for beginners. Also, what do you think about the Canson mi Teines Touch ? Are you satisfied with it? Thanks!
I think Cretacolor is ok for beginners. But if you really want to find the potential of pastel, you need to try soft pastel, like Sennelier or Unison. I am not sure about the art supply in Brazil, but here in China which also has limited opts for pastels, I can still get these two brands in art store. I am satisfied with Canson Mi-Teintes Touch, although it doesn't have as many teeth as sanded paper. If you want to do a under painting, it is a good choice.
@@iswenyi nice, thanks. And have you tried making your own surfaces with Golden Pastel Ground? That seems to be a good alternative. And I agree with the soft / hard pastels, the hard ones are limited in their aplication, right? 'll buy a sennelier 120 half set asap when i go to the us. Thanks again

No yet, but I will try Golden mediums someday in the future. And yes soft pastel can get you more layers.
