We're a DIY family building our "forever homestead" from 15 acres of raw undeveloped land in Tennessee. All of our content is family friendly and safe for everyone to enjoy.
Today I use my brother's 1960s Ford 2000 tractor and rear scrape blade to grade and smooth out the driveway gravel and build a pad for our camper to rest upon. We also finally get to move our camper to our land!

Ah, those slowly but surely steps are gradually getting larger. So pleased for you.
That's the way you learn, one blade at the time. For your first time I think you did an excellent job, especially with a scrape blade. A box blade makes it even easier, but you use what you have. Again great job. Ive been operating Heavy Equipment and tractors all of my life, started just like you did, went in to backhoes, Dump trucks, Motorgraders, Excavators, Front End Loaders and different sized Bull Dozers. It all started from what you just did, lol. Take care and never turn down an opportunity to learn to operate different equipment.

As normal, I learnt something from today video. I have owned several tandem axel trailers and campers over the past 40 years. I watched you put a crank ratchet type chalk between the tires. I never knew such a gadget has ever been invented to prevent the tires from rolling. That was cool Sam. I'll have to purchase this gadget. That was awesome buddy.
Thanks Dean! I first saw them at an RV store, but they wanted way too much for me to buy them in the store. After looking into them online, I read how they help with the camper movement and jiggles inside while camping. I'm happy to report they do very well at stabilizing and removing a lot of the bounciness! Plus they were much cheaper on Amazon compared to that specialty store. :) Theses are the ones we got: amzn.to/3kBEW3b

If you build there in the future it's a perfect spot. So happy for you, it's fun and I know you are loving it all even the rough spots of moving things and the expense.....it's all toward the future results so hang on and love each and every minute of it. Love your place there.

Oh yes, we've been LOVING the trees too! All the colors in the woods makes for lots of time spent looking up and just enjoying it all. :) We try to have fun in whatever we do in life, and consider ourselves so blessed to be able to have this adventure!

We're using a portable dump tank and taking it back home to put in our septic as needed. :)

You're not far off there! A workshop is the first building that will be built here. Since I can't move my shop like we'll move Angela's soap shed, I have to build one to allow us to move out of the home in NC for it to be moved to TN. Our small business is a big part of our family's income and needs to stay operational! :)
