- Abu Garcia Maxtoro 50 bait casting reel, this is an extremely light weight but powerful catfishing reel, designed with a low profile look of a bass fishing reel but the extra large build of a musky or catfish reel, this is the perfect reel for braided line and bumping or walking baits in strong current for cat fish, also great for large swim baits and jerk baits for striper and musky. highly recommended from a real Ohio river cat fisher man.

I love that reel. I own one too! Have caught several 40s and several 30s on it.

@@RiverBloodfishing I like it more for suspending and if flathead fishing with a float. But I've also used it for dragging in creeks and lakes.

The low profile okuma convector 354 is a awesome reel for bumping. They cost around 100.00.
Awesome reel. I’m gonna have to check these out. I got a Penn 8000 battle for big slabs. And a pro rocket purple haze paired with a Madkatz SMASH rod.
Where you from in Ohio. I swear soon as the video came on I was like damn I know this guy from somewhere.
I’m from ludlow just across from Cincinnati, and these reels are great but only good for braid they don’t handle mono very well unless you use 20 pound and under but I got 65 pound braid on and it cast good, would probably be better with 30 to 50 pound braid

hello, greetings from argentina, do you think it can be used with 150grs leads?
I’m not exactly sure I understand the question but if your talking about sinkers/lead yes it can handle 150 gram weights, and 45 kilogram braided line or 100 pound. The kast king kapstan 400 reel can hold more line and weight that would be a good option as well
