Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13)

Aluminum is known to "potentiate" the effects (and also a "trigger") of Alzheimers, too... My grandfather was a brilliant engineer and machinist by trade... Watching him die from that horrible disease was one of the roughest times of my life.
In fairness Aluminum is the most abundant Metallic element and the 3rd most abundant element of Earth (after oxygen and silicon). Its absolutely in the air naturally(obviously industrial/modern era has made it worse). But basically Aluminum can be measured in the urine, feces, and blood of basically every human. The problem is more when there is a build up due to medicine or treatments(dialysis is a major one). Alzheimer MAY have a connection to high levels of Aluminum but its inconclusive. Also what is deemed as high is quite far beyond your everyday exposure. The biggest factor in Alzheimers in current science to my knowledge is actually protein build up in the brain and forms plaque- its a different type but its similar in damage to plaque in a heart- once its developed at best we can slow it down we cant really reverse it.
Aluminium poisoning is a very real thing! You don't really get it anymore though, I have a feeling they changed out one of the compounds in the aluminium used in factories. Or something like that anyway, either way that's the case in the UK, I used to run mills and lathes and it was a problem with old school machinists. Looks like health and safety is non existent in this town, absolutely wild how this has gone on.
I really understand you. I'm in the same spot right now, and it is very traumatising to see how fast and horrible this disease works.... how he forgets everything, how he just exists...

There should genuinely be a law that states that no factory that refines, produces, or makes use of any harmful substances is permitted to be within 100 miles of any residential area.
They also need to split the factories into separate locations rather than having hundreds in a single area. That would reduce the overall pollution in each location to safer levels.
Thats not a real solution, the problem is theyre getting away with spewing toxic chemicals in the first place. Theres ways to process/manufacture chemicals safely, only issue is it costs more. So they build factories in poor communitites with lax regulations and enforcement and get away with it.
I am part of cancer ally and it really is a huge issue. I was born and raised and many of my family members had cancer. We are surrounded and nobody does anything. The chemical spills are extremely dangerous too.
I've watched Tyler for a year or two now and this is the first time I'm leaving a comment because I'm so grateful you brought this to light. Issues like this should be in the news, not how large companies avoid paying their taxes. Who cares about a companies taxes when we have areas like this in the US. 50x higher rate of cancer is something that should never be ignored, it's absolutely ridiculous. My grandparents lived near some large aluminum plants, and other factories near Three Rivers, Quebec. They both died of cancer only in their 50s. This story certainly hits home, and brings to light the greed and gross incompetence of these companies. I also think that local zoning regulations towards factories should be more strict to keep them extremely far away from any human settlements
Here in Iceland we have 3 big aluminium factories. Factories, who turn boxite into aluminium. A process whio need quite lot of electricity. By all those factories have "fallout zone" where it is not aloud to have any livestock or have permanently residents. I have a file about, when they had plans to build an aluminum smelter in the fjord, Eyjafjörður, North Iceland, in a area with quite lot of farms. Fallout zone from that factory would have had bad effect for those farms. Still, they had the propaganda for building that factory, to suppliy work for the inhabitants. Luckily, their plans did not worked out. Aluminum factory was built in another par of Iceland. We have pollution enough, when he wind is still in that fjord. Has anyone asked, who get he main profit from those factories ? Does it stay inside your country or does some firm abroad get the main profit ?
Very sad that these kind of things are still happening. Props to you for covering this story and hopefully this will start a conversation about finding a solution for these poor people. Keep doing what you’re doing man. God be with you.
That burning you felt on your face outside the aluminum refinery was caustic acid. They used caustic acid to extract the aluminum from the bauxite. Bauxite is a red dirt fine as baby powder. The city I live in, (in Ontario) is extremely similar to this. In 2011 the world health organization gave the title of “worst air quality in Canada” to our city. We also have three times the national cancer rate and cancer deaths. Which is also the worst in the country (all per capita). What’s worse than the citizens of the city having to live beside what we call “Chemical” or “Cancer Valley”, is that they built these plants almost ON TOP of a First Nations reserve community. The Natives health complications from this valley are astronomically worse than the people in the city (considering the city was voted worst air pollution, just imagine how bad the reserve is). VICE did a documentary about this valley about 12 years ago and dove into the native part as well. “Canadas Toxic Chemical Valley” is what it’s called if anyone’s interested.

1. Believe that God sent His Son

2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you!

Issues like this should be in the news, not how large companies avoid paying their taxes. Who cares about a companies taxes when we have areas like this in the US. 50x higher rate of cancer is something that should never be ignored, it's absolutely ridiculous. I believe my dad also worked for the Dupont plant doing software back in the early 2000's, thankfully he's been cancer free all my life.
You are describe two aspects of the same issue. This is caused by unregulated business and a lack of government oversight.
I grew up in Garyville right near the plant, my grandmother had cancer and the amount of people who has died from cancer in the neighbourhood is ridiculous
What he said around 5:20 was sooo powerful, reminds me of my dad he wouldn’t move out of an old house we had until we fixed the dirt work underneath bc the foundation was sinking, even tho it pasted an inspection and was able to be sold. we need more responsible men
Yo that is so powerful what your dad did that. Respect for Both your dad and Robert.
How’s it gotten fixed? How
ive literally never heard of cancer ally until now.. unreal. great work guys, top notch reporting
As a person who's grandfather had lung cancer, my mom had breast cancer and now my dad has lymphoma no hodgkin cancer i apreciate all you do and all the awareness you bring up. Keep up all the good work.
💙💙💙
Love your reporting Tyler keep it going. You’ll make enemies by exposing these criminals but someone has to attempt to keep them honest.
Are you talking about Rio tinto?
im sorry to hear it
Very sad that these kind of things are still happening.
It soaks into everything. I used to work in a aluminum refinery in Corps Chisti, TX. They shut down that refinery for environmental concerns. I remember the burn we would feel on our face from the mist of the caustic in the air
Thanks but check your self brother we all got family
If they don't like it, they can move out. Go back to your own country if you don't like this

Thanks, and I am interested in reading your response! Thanks, LiPo
I'm astonished and deeply saddened to see how these people are left to deal with this on their own. Excellent investigative journalism!
The government needs to step in and pay these people for their homes/land and relocate them somewhere safe and condemn the area for residential use.
This IS evil. Especially the new homes. A family will move in, looking forward to a bright future in their beautiful home, unaware of the dangers that are in their backyard 😢
The fact that we get free videos from Tyler on TH-cam is priceless, keeping the education and knowledge alive. 🤷🙏
God bless Robert and Tyler for this! These corporations needs to be held more accountable, they ONLY care about profits, disgusting amount of greed they have. Also Robert looks amazing for being 82 years old!!
Where are all the attorneys? You would think they would jump on these lawsuits.
Watch Erin Brockavich, it goes into a lot of details about pollution and class action lawsuits. They only won their case on a technicality, these companies drag these suits out for decades
As someone who lost both great grandmothers to cancer I feel the people in cancer alley. These companies are evil they know their chemicals is causing cancer to the people in the community yet don’t care. Robert is a inspiration he is fighting for his community.
It's disgusting how much these large corruptions are willing to poison the peasants jsut to profiteer further. We live in a sick world run by evil people. Thanks to Tyler and Robert for bringing this subject more to light
They have been doing it for decades, but now they want you to either be angry at gay people or homophobic people. That's the latest distraction.
Just moved out. I lived right on the Parish line. Cornerstone Chemical right behind me. The toxic fumes are so bad now, within the last few years, new levels. The mask it with dryer sheet fragrance, and at late night. Its dizzying and suffocating. If you live in the area, pay attention to everything you touch, smell your hands, and they will be coated with a dryer sheet smell. Its hard for people to point out, because a lot of people use dryer sheets all ready. Dryer sheets are like the 3rd most toxic household item also, just for reference. I do not use them, and senses are keen. It felt like we we're getting cancer. In the 4 years we lived there my wife, myself, and 2 of our pets had to go to the hospital for wierd random things we've never had happen. Ever since we moved, we could feel our bodies detoxifying. It took a few months to feel normal, or not fully realiz8ng how unhealthy we were starting to feel. We're pretty crunchy in our family and live a healthy lifestyle. So that is the only thing we can rationalize after it all.
how are dryer sheets toxic? im very curious
@@randomyoutubeuser53462 the chemicals used are carcinogens. And the fragrances used. I learned that years ago and never touched them again. Use wool dryer balls and essential oils.
I grew up in the middle of the 2 grain elevators you passed in Destrehan...we moved The plants tore our house down but everyone I knew and loved out there died from cancer. I'm praying I don't get anything later on being exposed for 16 years of my life. Lost the most important people in my life and my nanny had a lung disease 28 years before she got the cancer.

Robert is so kind. He thinks about other people and doesn't want others to get cancer. ❤
He's so kind to blame white people for all the cancer lol
This shows the evil of corporations. Robert is a good soul!!
You’ve got to pair that with corrupt government too. Won’t work with only one of the two.
These corporations are very similar to cancer cells don't you think
This episode was literally scary. It tripped me out and was really sad.. I was thinking how messed up it must feel to live around cancer and feel stuck forever. That graveyard was huge too!!!!!
This is deeply concerning and tragic. The impacts of pollution on marginalized communities are so often overlooked. We seriously need more awareness and action to mitigate this issue. It's heartbreaking that these people have to endure such conditions.
even if every factory stopped right now, the damage that has already been done will take decades to fade and the companies would just move to another city. its a sad reality, if we don't start going after these corporations everyone in the US will be in an even worse state than we already are.
My sister had a friend who bought some property and her kids kept getting sick and the doctors said that they couldn’t find anything. so she bought one of those kits to she if there’s radiation in the area and her whole property was reactive. After finding out, somebody told somebody and all of a sudden there are people on her property, telling her that she needed to leave. they forced her family to move somewhere else, and frightened her to tell her not to tell nobody. The companies in the refineries around Louisiana, Beaumont, vidor, orange, Houston do not care about the safety of people and there’s a lot of areas in Texas that is radioactive that people don’t even know about.
Wow.
Was it near nuclear power plant?
Wow this is so. This is insane and a crime. People need to stand up and rally sue the gov. This isn’t right
Robert, I hold you in high regard and have great respect for your kind heart. My prayers are with you, your wife, son, daughter, and all your loved ones.
I’m so glad this is being talked about. I live in Baton Rouge and used to work at one of those plants. All my family lives in a town 10 min from Reserve and have had cancer. Grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncles, etc. Driving across the main bridge in Baton Rouge, you can literally smell/taste the chemicals in the air from the plants all along the river. I can tell at this point which plant I’m smelling at a time knowing what types of chemicals they produce.
Thank you for coming to Louisiana and raising awareness about this issue that's plagued my home. I hope this will get the attention of the right people.
we need these corporations to move their asses into non-residential areas
Right,I live here in Louisiana also,an lost a lot of family and friends to cancer,an never thought about chemical plants being one the reasons why they got/had cancer,an I live in Houma, not to far from the places he was talking about, this video was really interesting, an had a lot of truth to it, just like the other person said, they should have them where people don't live, not where they got thousands of people, it goes to show you that they value the mighty Dollar over human lives, and that is very sad!!!
@@coolbreeze3338 amen brother, we need these factories otherwise the economy's fucked, but you can't build them right next to people, especially when those communitys were there before

"Why haven't you moved?"
Old man gave the best answer a good person could have given.
Moving will just make another family live in these conditions, it's not actually fixing the problem.
The problem are the factories that should have not been built next to housing... That land was probably cheap for the company to build there and the state is winning big bucks on the side for it.
It's the Governments fault for throwing their people under the bus for money, instead of imposing some stricter distance rules for these kind of facilities.
The pollution here in Lake Charles is so bad too. Thank you for bringing awareness to what’s going on!
Aside from one chain smoker, no one in my family, not even cousins and cousins’ cousins had cancer for at least 6 generations but I bet that if my folks lived out there they’d all have it.
Prayers to all the people living and surviving out there. this is so wrong that I don’t even know how to express how devastating this is..
Why do people smoke... its so depressing. It tastes horrible and the only reason people say it calms them is because they're addicted and getting more of whatever you're addicted to calms you. There is no actual calming reaction, only addiction
Its a terrible thing and i don't understand why people begin.
Sorry for ranting to you, just ask and i'll delete this reply
@@eetuthereindeer6671 I agree but the main issue here is why are these factories able to operate knowing they are harming, if not killing the residents? that is insane to me. I guess thats what the USA does, smoking kills, yet they sell cigarettes everywhere. I am starting to think the government simply wants people to die.
@@henrryfermin5033 i guess since tobacco is grown elsewhere they don't lose farm area to it and since cancer treatment costs are so high due to not having universal healthcare, they don't mind when they profit from the treatment costs 🫠
@@henrryfermin5033 Government doesn't want people to die, it's a classical case of companies wanting to make more money, and not caring about the environment and effects on people. Profit seeking mainly 😞

I’m from Ontario and I’ve never heard of it. What city is it ?
There seems to be one similarity. They Love Doing These in areas with many minority groups
