That’s the best thing about Toyota, everything always works. Change the oil regularly and don’t drive it like a madman and it’ll run forever. I’ve got a 1993 model now that my dad bought new and passed down to me, just over 390,000 miles on the clock. Thanks for sharing.

Got a 93 t100 with 148k, sat for a decade after dad passed. Rebuilt it this summer then got tboned at 50mph couple weeks ago. Body damage hurts on an antique, but it took the hit like a champ, and I drove it home.

I have one of these trucks, it’s a 1994. I grew up in it. My granddad died and it sat for abt 8 years, and I finally got older and got some knowledge on vehicles and got it fixed and running great. 32,328 miles on it. Doesn’t look the best from sitting in the wether for 8 years but I’ll tell you what. I’m so happy to have it back on the road

Loved my brand new 1992 3.0L V6 5spd Extracab 4x4 for 14 awesome years. 2 head gasket failures fixed both times in and out of warranties by Toyota. Sold it when kids came along. Got great resale when I sold it. Really miss that truck and all our adventures.

Years ago my friend had a 1993 Toyota truck with the v6. It was about 1996 and it started running hot. He changed the thermostat, he had the radiator flushed,he had te water pump changed even though it wasn’t leaking. Still didn’t fix it. So he took it back to the dealer and said you guys deal wit it. They called him a day later and told him there was a recall on the motor due to a bad head from the factory. At that point the truck had 130.000 miles on it. He got a brand new motor. All it cost him was parts for a new clutch since they had to take it out in the engine change process.

I had a very similar situation with a 1990 4Runner with the V-6 engine. Blew a head gasket at 105k. Toyota rebuilt the top half of the motor, I think I paid for a new water pump. Unfortunately the 4Runner got in an accident about 5000 miles later and was written off. Wish I still had it.
