Very useful Josh. Went ahead and got the Divi Bars plugin right after watching this vid. Sure I'll get more soon. Sorry, as I wasn't at my desktop at time of purchase, I missed your aff link but noted for future ref :)
Hi thanks - great collection of plugins. Have you ever done a tutorial on creating a membership page. Ie before buying a product etc becoming a customer or member etc.
Thank you for an excellent overview which was also spoken very clearly (all too rare with TH-cam videos). As a WP beginner, I have already been tripped up by several non-Divi compatible plugins so I will certainly be picking up 3 or 4 of your recommendations straight away - with others noted for later.
Thanks Peter! I actually just released my Divi/WP Beginners Course if you'd be interested in that. I think it would be a huge help to ya! Launch sale is going on now: joshhall.co/product/divi-wordpress-beginners-course/
Quite sad that you have to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of simple plugins that are not included within Divi itself. These are quite famous and easy to integrate in their platform...
Divi already comes with a heap ton of stuff. It can't include everything that everyone wants for every site for every situation for every potential project. A few hundred bucks for all the functionality you get here on top of a small investment for Divi is pocket change than custom coding a site from scratch.
@AKAmoney Jim Bob (if he's even a real profile person) doesn't quite understand that time = money. The time it would take to figure out how to code, style and integrate all of these plugins is insanely costly opposed to purchasing something that's already built and ready. That doesn't even factor making them all cross browser compatible and working with all the latest Divi updates.
@@JoshHallco lol I came here looking for simplicity and this guy wants me to do everything i dont wanna waste time on learning 😂😂😂 Thank you Josh I am now a fan 💪 I will be getting the one for blogs just need to decide but maybe you can help me pick out of the last 2 u mentioned.
Hi Josh, thank you for your review, i love it. But i need your review about using Divi for a hotel and e-commerce website. What is the best and most compatible plugin for that? Thank you!
Just a question... Whats the difference between lifetime and unlimited sites fee? Isnt it a lifetime plugin if I can use on an unlimited amount of sites?
Hi josh, thanks for the video haha, I'm the guy who requested this video on the last one. my friends always do custom coding for that sort of "extra stuff"and they also recommend me but the problem is I'm not a pro geeky coder, doesn't using alot of plugins make a site vulnerable? how do u keep a site nice fast and secure at the same time use all these plugins, please do answer my question bcz it is bothering me for some time, thanks again
Yeah I try to limit my plugin usage where possible but luckily all of these are pretty lightweight and reliable. My maintenance plan course shows exactly how I manage all my plugins but in short I use and recommend ManageWP to make it easy.
Hi kal, it's not the amount of plugins that make a WordPress site vulnerable but the way that they are coded and updated. WP itself is a major target due to its popularity, hence frequent security updates (and some of those are due to the PHP language and not WP). Best advice is to keep everything up to date and use plugins that are updated often. The plugins that Josh mentions do seem to be lightweight and even very small overheads or loss of page load speed may be worth it for the benefits gained for your website visitors by using a good plugin to provide functionality. Using a good web host with built-in scans to protect your site and even server cache services they provide for speed is a good thing to check for. The web is full of useful tips and advice on the very questions you are asking :) Cheers.
"'Divi Overlays' is the new iFrame" LOL Interesting how the price of is rising though. In this video and that of May2019: It was $15 . Today. I paid $24. Amazing support nevertheless. Had issues with the licence right upon installation but Tim and Carlos handled it instantly.

While watching the video I kept thinking "how old is this video? When was it uploaded", and to my surprise it is only a couple of months old. WHY? Also, why do you make such ugly websites for your clients? They all look old school, blotchy, 90s websites. Dude! And why are you trying to sell plugins which come as different modules from Elegant Themes already, or are free if someone's looking for them? I thought you were a good TH-camr who loved to work with divi and create websites, you are not.

I think I would say Divigear , Divi Extended, and Divi Tool plugins is a must for a shortcut in design.

Thanks Mark, I haven't. I do use and recommend MemberPress for membership sites via Wordpress.
For icons I'm using Divi Icon King they just released Visual Builder integration... it is really good :)
Heard good things about that one. I didn't know it was VB Compatible. That was the one draw back when I tried it out previously. Great to know!

Not sure if there's a plugin - I know it's CSS related.
Do you purchase the plugin once, or per use?
Most of them you can buy a license per site or unlimited. I always do unlimited since I use them on client sites too.

Yep! Just add tel: in the link before the phone number!

The overlays shown are popups that the visitor triggers and they see a popup instead of opening a new page. Not the same as an unwanted popup.
