@@jamisongarrison1972 Yeah, most of the trilogy is pretty disappointing, to be honest. The gameplay, graphics, and attention to detail are good in all the games, but there's so much missed potential outside of those. The first game is excellent. It revamps the old, campy adventure genre; it sets a likeable character in a beautiful and uniquely horrifying environment; it has great acting, group interactions, and character models; and it sets up great potential for sequels-imagine seeing this up-and-coming adventurer explore equally-intricate uncharted territories in the modern world, and imagine her doing that with the rest of the gang, Jonah being the strongman and voice of reason, Reyes being the technician and supporting combatant, and Sam being the public relations expert and co-historian. That would've been something unseen in video games, and it would've added an enduring vitality to the game, similar to virtually all the great, long-running television series. But by the sequel, they cut out Sam, Lara's best friend, and Reyes, an interesting foil to the more levelheaded and naïve Lara, and left us with Jonah for some reason. And they changed Lara's and Jonah's faces, making them feel like strangers to us. And they watered down the horror, which was already done masterfully in the first game and was one of the most interesting aspects of the series-how often do we get high-quality horror in AAA video games? And they changed the composer, even though Jason Graves created one of the most distinctive and aesthetically-pleasing soundtracks for the original game, including both the music and the jingles. And Lara sounds out of breath all the time, for some reason. There was no way that the Trinity arc could've been finished satisfyingly within two games. They had a good anthology series set up in the first game, but they wanted to add an overarching plot of some kind, and they ended up tripping over themselves in it. Not only that, but they centered basically all the lore in this timeline around Trinity and their pursuits of world domination when it feels so unearned and shallow. People keep talking about sequels, but the creators pretty much eliminated all prospects. Lara is retired as a tomb raider by the end of this game; Jonah, one of the only other interesting characters in the series, has left her; Sam, the other interest character, is still undergoing psychiatric treatment; and no other artifact can beat the one that allows for eternal life, or the one that causes the apocalypse. At least the first game was more conservative on the scale of paranormality that it tackled. By the way, it's weird that this militant Christian organization is run by some Peruvian heathen who came out of nowhere. One would think that they'd be a little more particular about their leaders. Also, the third game never shows us what was happening in the rest of the world-for some reason. Was the Mayan apocalypse affecting England? New York? China? Africa? Wouldn't that have an immense effect on society and humanity's conception of the supernatural? How many people ended up dying? This is all no-brainer stuff to cover in an apocalyptic story, but the game seems to want to forget about it. This trilogy, which didn't even have to be just a trilogy, could've been great, and all this lost potential makes me very disappointed.
I mean, Lara alone already murdered hundreds (if not thousands) of Trinity soldiers by this point how many mercs can you keep hiring before they realize that others never return from previous missions? 😂😂😂
If we really sorted all of lara's adventures out. I like to think all the games connect to each other even going back to the original ones from 1993. You have these latest games from 2012 onwards being laras prologue. Then you would have Anniversary (remake of tomb raider 1). Legend and Underworld where she searches for her mother. Then maybe you would have TR2 dagger of Xian and then TR3 with the Meteorite artefacts. And so on. Then TR4 in Egypt. I imagine thats her timeline and then I think the angel of darkness always feels like laras last real adventure. Remember how dark the storyline was in that game. Where she really just disappears after the events of the game. And finds a new life somewhere..

I just finished this game today and it was rly amazing. Very nice trilogy I enjoyed every part of the trilogy. Does anybody know if there will be a next Tomb Raider game? It would be very nice to have a remake of the old ones or a new trilogy about an older Lara Croft or his Parent, how they met and how Dominguez killed the father of Lara Croft.
I think it will take time, crystal dynamics is working on another project (marvel game) and I'm sure Eidos will not work on a new tomb raider so fast :) it will take time for a new tomb raider and I think the Trinity story is closed, so maybe we see a remake of tomb raider 1 or like you said a game about an older lara croft
This is a bit old, but for new readers, they plan on unifying this trilogy with the older games, but with that development will take longer and it's likely we will still have to wait at least a year for the next one. There is going to be a netflix animated series that is set after this game though, interestingly.

Maybe it's a tease, a hint that SOTR's Lara eventually transitions into the old Lara at some point and Anniversary is her very next adventure after Shadow
There is no doubt about it, S.O.T.T.R. is a great game. I am lucky enough to own a high end gaming PC and playing the game in 4K with everything turned to maximum is just awesome. First time i played the game took me 52 hours to complete. Now i am going though the game to find everything and take my time this time around. Oh yeah Lara is hot too. What is she? About 23 years old. Oh to be 23 again....
Lara is about 24-25 in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. 23 is Rise of the Tomb Raider. The early games however, I'm talking the ps1 and ps2 games, sh was in her 30s. Like 32 when Angel of Darkness is set.
Just finished this game... that boss.. omg haha difficult. Stabbed him like 6 times or more. Now i miss to play this game.. such a great adventure. Loved it! I hope a new one comes soon. "If" it comes...
I just read an interview where Camilla said that for the next game Lara might have a daughter. I hope that doesn’t happen yet. This has only been her first journey
You read it wrong. Camilla said it would be interesting if, in the next TR games, Lara would have a daughter mixed in the story. But Camilla admittedly said she doesn't know what would be next for Lara.
not gonna lie, the graphics are fucking impressive, but i hate the animations and faces, don't know what kind of crappy mocap they used for the whole trilogy, but anyways, not the best tomb raider, but definitely the most unique one
I also dislike doll face animation here. In older Tomb Raider ex. 2013 release I was amazed and here I am like WTF? Comparison Crysis 1 did way better (10y old game)...
I agree on this. They nailed the graphics, but the mocap animation was crap. Lara always looks so tired and I can barely see their mouths moving when talking. Rise was fantastic in all aspects.
2:52 i don't know why, but this scene gives off Halo 3 vibes, when the flood becomes your ally for a brief moment and you yourself can see how fast the "Flood" overwhelms the enemy...
Lol Lara's rework face is so amazing she became as a cute pretty girl not like the 2 last games. Look at her face with the mask she looks pretty as a princess.
@@janellehoney-badger6525 lol you have a point there! But really if you made a comparison this episode is much better than the others and finally her face looks like a girl not like an anime or old women so in my opinion this episode is the best of all.
Great Graphics, the best tomb raider of the trilogy, very nice history, good gameplay, i give it a 9.0 (thumbs up!) , but the lack of blood and physics in shots, cute face of lara always(but brave i give her that), saddly she is not Like the original lara croft (a hard woman ) this is a more emotional and friendly version of lara. but still is a very good game. Thanks for the work and the nice quality of the videos. Regards!
Still think the first one was the best one out of this trilogy, perhaps because of all the new mechanics, this one was nice but it was kinda the same, and the final boss was kinda lame imo. I would give it something like 7.5 but the more you enjoyed it the better!
I really hope that this isn't the final chapter in this reboot series. The game itself is okay and fine as a simple installment but if this was meant to be the concluding chapter then it is disappointing. I really want to see them continue with this Laura and explore her more experienced years.
How come Lara never sounds scared? At some points she’s being thrown to the ground, whipped around on rocks and debris, I rarely here her scream or shout.
@@kevinvu5432 disagree. The foliage and lighting is noticeably above par, game also uses ray tracing which most of us can't run very well right now for even more realistic graphics
I’d take a remaster of the trilogy of Anniversary, Legend and Underworld in this graphic/art style and some updates tombs. Throw in some elements from her origin story so they flow nicely.

This is a bit old, but for new readers, they plan on unifying this trilogy with the older games, but with that development will take longer and it's likely we will still have to wait at least a year for the next one. There is going to be a netflix animated series that is set after this game though, interestingly.
they wasted their potential
@@TkCheisu7 Anniversary is supposed 2 be the official remake of TR 1
Ah.....4 years without a new TR.... ''working on a marvel game'' PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF disgusting
I don't think it's time for remakes
They just need to come out with an ultimate TR game
This is one of those game its better to watch then buy and play
No it's not. Lol it's better to play. I've been playing the first one released in 2013 and it's still a great game
I just completed it. I agree with this comment
if find the grinding in the reboot series so boring. as well as lara's new character and the general gritty atmosphere..
Dark Cat massive?? Her breasts were never THAT big in the beginning, just pointy. Possible a D size? DD? And she’s probably a size C here maybe. And her butt wasn’t big either in the beginning. Also there’s more to feminine than assets.
@Dark Cat Lara in the old game is more of a hand to hand combat, flexible and shit. this lara could break in a short distance of fall.
1:41 look at the snake
what ? where ?
her head
SNAKE SNAKE SNAKEEEEE
1:41 Look at her ass
That's a huge snake penis.
1:41 That crown moves
Lmao
Fighting Kukulkan? Shoulda called Serious Sam for the job.
The best TR I ever played, and I play since PS1 times.

Dude, it's useless to beg for mercy. She wants you dead, so you might as well go hand to hand.
I bet he will listen to you
I love the ending/credits song 🖤
29:22 lol at that mocking of the fans looking for a t-rex. you got the t-rex, just in a childish drawing. hahaha those guys are brutal.
Maybe the next game is in egypt with a T-Rex :0
But that t-rex is like the 1 seen from Vilcacamba, Peru from the old game version of Tomb Raider Anniversary.
Maybe it's a tease, a hint that SOTR's Lara eventually transitions into the old Lara at some point and Anniversary is her very next adventure after Shadow
Maybe, but it will be different than the old trilogy. Let us wait when & what the game developers are planning for now...
Rise and Shadow has so much reference to old TR games, if damn fun find it.
Like 32 when Angel of Darkness is set.
her vision of her parents and her younger self though...almost made me shed a single tear. Roth should have been included in there though.

so lara croft got power of sun?
Yes, when Amaru died the power transferred to her.
james lastus I guess I won’t lie but Kulkukan supposed to be the god of the wind not the sun🤦🏻♂️ shit idk
Lara got Kukulkán inside her
@@alexamichelle8915 Yes, but it got absorbed back with the dagger.

I just read an interview where Camilla said that for the next game Lara might have a daughter. I hope that doesn’t happen yet. This has only been her first journey
You read it wrong. Camilla said it would be interesting if, in the next TR games, Lara would have a daughter mixed in the story. But Camilla admittedly said she doesn't know what would be next for Lara.
dru_irkins oh ok. Thanks
@@SnEin you’re right I noticed that, but after I wrote the comment
not gonna lie, the graphics are fucking impressive, but i hate the animations and faces, don't know what kind of crappy mocap they used for the whole trilogy, but anyways, not the best tomb raider, but definitely the most unique one
Tr had one of the best motion captures, especially rise and tressfx and pure hair but in this one i cant see the facial animations at all
I also dislike doll face animation here. In older Tomb Raider ex. 2013 release I was amazed and here I am like WTF? Comparison Crysis 1 did way better (10y old game)...
@@oTATEoBLUEo 2013 jajaja the best one is rise
I agree on this. They nailed the graphics, but the mocap animation was crap. Lara always looks so tired and I can barely see their mouths moving when talking. Rise was fantastic in all aspects.
Says the guy with nathens face
2:52 i don't know why, but this scene gives off Halo 3 vibes, when the flood becomes your ally for a brief moment and you yourself can see how fast the "Flood" overwhelms the enemy...
Lol Lara's rework face is so amazing she became as a cute pretty girl not like the 2 last games.
Look at her face with the mask she looks pretty as a princess.
She's meant to be a sociopath not pretty as a princess & the game is terrible!
@@janellehoney-badger6525 lol you have a point there! But really if you made a comparison this episode is much better than the others and finally her face looks like a girl not like an anime or old women so in my opinion this episode is the best of all.
Except she's a warrior, not a princess!
Come on,
I didn't mean a real princess i just mean she is god damn pretty lol 😛
They made her looks more like Tunisian or Syrian.
2013 was the best game
i like the yaaxil lady
Haha you weirdo 😂😂
same, hot af, definitely I'd tap that
@@UwU-ik5ur that mouth kinda cute
Great Graphics, the best tomb raider of the trilogy, very nice history, good gameplay, i give it a 9.0 (thumbs up!) , but the lack of blood and physics in shots, cute face of lara always(but brave i give her that), saddly she is not Like the original lara croft (a hard woman ) this is a more emotional and friendly version of lara.
but still is a very good game.
Thanks for the work and the nice quality of the videos. Regards!
Nah it isn't.
Pedro Gonzalez this is the origin story of Lara Croft so you never know what’s to come
Well this is supposed to be a more realistic Lara and younger one too, she's already a hard woman by doing all the things she does, she's just human
The videos were the only thing the team put the work into, the game itself was simplistic
Still think the first one was the best one out of this trilogy, perhaps because of all the new mechanics, this one was nice but it was kinda the same, and the final boss was kinda lame imo. I would give it something like 7.5 but the more you enjoyed it the better!
Loved this game... got 100% platinum trofhy today, man the very hard game+ even with all the upgrades it was dificult!
❤❤❤ I love to watch this every Monday.
My game was corrupted at the final level so watched this instead

I love this games a lot I played it so fun the series I give it 10/10 it’s better than uncharted and you can play the game now on game pass
I sware lara is hotaf.
she was hotter in the previous game
Jack Smith someone has given her a tit reduction -_-
Jack Smith Probably you're not alone!
@@memesky1014 *games
@@rossothecrimson7 not all the previous games I'm talking about the last game
That picture of a dinosaur and pyramid reminded me of the first TR and revelations
I really hope that this isn't the final chapter in this reboot series. The game itself is okay and fine as a simple installment but if this was meant to be the concluding chapter then it is disappointing. I really want to see them continue with this Laura and explore her more experienced years.
There will be an anime that focuses on post-Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
There is something badass about Lara walking and the Yaaxil moving out of the way and helping her fight Trinity
I know I may be the only one who feels this way, but I want them to go back to the Legend timeline now that they’re done with this one.
So touching if you follow the game at tomb raider 1 you can see something that you get in tomb raider 1 in the last ending
20:20 best org ever 😂

Underwood95 orgasm my dude
Gustavo Bassi what is that?

3:43 for the secret ending
Lol
How come Lara never sounds scared? At some points she’s being thrown to the ground, whipped around on rocks and debris, I rarely here her scream or shout.
after 2013, I doubt anything scared her anymore
Because Yamatai happened. That's why
The graphics are beautiful.
Not any different from any modern game.
@@kevinvu5432 disagree. The foliage and lighting is noticeably above par, game also uses ray tracing which most of us can't run very well right now for even more realistic graphics
@@erroldtumaque3430 original tomb raider looks better
I’d take a remaster of the trilogy of Anniversary, Legend and Underworld in this graphic/art style and some updates tombs. Throw in some elements from her origin story so they flow nicely.
28:32 starts the best part 😭
Now the Tomb Raider 1 adventure begins.
The story felt really small compared to 2013 TR. I thought I was only half way in when this mission started.
Here i am still waiting for the next installment. I want T-REX
damn lara is so clean in this xD
It was cool playing for 48 hours might do another playthrough in a year or two
12:00 this jump make me so angry.... 30 times and fck mr croft cant catch this wall fck this game xd
I'm having the same problem. Notice how there is a cut there, the uploader must have suffered too.
My game bugged on the last scene to where there mouths were moving but no voices lmao. Glad youtube is here so I can listen to what was said!
Just finished this game today (I played the whole trilogy back to back).
I liked the ending, I think it's a nice conclusion to the story, I do think Shadow is the weakest game in the trilogy but it's still a pretty good game.
My favorite tomb raider game got all 99 achievements on this game.
I just finished it and I loved it
I don't know about you guys, but i've got that feeling when i was first playing Far Cry Primal after the Far Cry 4, you know...something different.
am i the only one whos wanting a 4th installment (Game) in the tomb raider series
Thanks for posting this, my game crashed during the ending credits!
After seeing the ending, the picture looks like a lead into the first Tomb Raider game. Consider the first 3 games a prequel, like Star Wars did.
That was a pyramid at the end I think in that drawing on the wall. Exploring Ancient Egypt next?🤔
Judging there is a letter from the antagonist from the very first game. Kinda yes lol. Part of the game will have ancient Egypt in it
good clickbait, there is no secret ending!
Wait after credits
